First rate service
I cannot fault this company, there customer service has been first rate, they were very helpful at making sure I had the correct size harness for my dachshund and even checked the photos I sent in with the harness on him to double check it was on correctly and properly fit. My daughter recommended this company as her dog which is a working springer spaniel has had one for 5 years and still going strong even with her being in woods and undergrowth so yes I will be using again and recommending them.
First rate service and product.
I’m very upset by the reviews of fake products on here. What has they got to do with this gold standard company? It’s unfair and ignorant.
I have just received the harness. It fits my dog perfectly and is of the best possible quality. It took two days to arrive.

Very shady company
Avoid at all costs. They are a greedy fraudulent company which violates EU consumer rights regarding the right of withdrawal (returns) in order to keep people's money.
I will never order a Julius harness again, not even from another store as I don't want to finance thieves, and I'm filing a report about them to the anti-fraud authorities.
Edit after their hypocrit reply : no I did NOT order from a different company, I ordered on your official EU website and received a genuine product from your brand, which I was forced to return at MY expense despite it not being the size advertised on your site, which is how I’m able to say that your customer "support" is the worst as not only did they force me to pay for the return, they refused to refund original shipping costs as well, even though they had assured me that they would (and the EU law demands it !).

Best Dog Harness by Far
I tried 3 cheap harness products before switching my bulldog to this brand. The superior quality and fit is immediately noticeable and I have none of the issues experienced with others. Sometimes the reputation for quality is justified and the more expensive product worth the extra, as in this case. Recommend.

No communication on how to return
Need to return my harness and have had zero response, no refund, stuck with a harness thats no good to me and out of pocket

Had one response asking if I wanted to keep it and offered a discount on another, ive sent 3 further replies to say no, I dont want to keep it, and had nothing back
The returns email on the website came back undeliverable despite following the link from the website

I reported this to them after being scammed myself, their indifference was astonishing the 2stars are only because they at least replied to my e mail! Wasn’t trying to gain anything from it just warning others to beware of fake sites.

New LOW QUALITY Design. No safety strap. Dangerous. False advertising
NO STARS!
We had a Julius collar from 2021 & it has lasted a long time, only until recently the plastic clip has been unclipping - so thank god for the Velcro safety strap! We ordered a new one from the official Julius K9 UK Amazon Shop a few days ago from the same listing as we did in 2021. Upon inspection and comparing to our old collar, this new collar 1. Did not have the safety Velcro strap that secures over the buckle. 2. On further inspection, the quality of the collar itself and the plastic buckles were flimsy and of lower quality. I originally thought, perhaps this was a one off defective item because when I referred back to the advertised photos - the collar has the Velcro safety strap BUT then I read the negative reviews and realised I’m not the only one that has this issue. SO, it seems that the company has re-designed the Julius collar for a POOR quality version but are now FALSELY ADVERTISING their product. It is also alarming that the company is also stating that these collars are suitable for large working dogs, this is dangerous. We have a 50kg very strong working line ex- military German Shepherd that is dog aggressive - these collars are useless for this type of dog so please please adjust your advertising to suit your weak low quality collars. This is really unfair on old customers who relied on your previously well designed SAFE products.

do not buy
Its a con i measured my dog according to their measurements and ordered a harness, it arrived an was too big i have had to return this at my own cost and i haven't been refunded the delivery fee for it being sent to me or for having to be send it back. I have called to ask why this hasn't been done to be met by a very rude lady who hung up the phone on me. Terrible service i will never purchase or recommend this company. If i had purchased through amazon i would of been able to return free of charge and i would of received free delivery how can the same company have different policies.

I don’t normally leave reviews but feel compelled to do so on the exceptional customer service. My harness arrived to find that I had not measured the correct size for my dog (my bad). I was a little concerned to find the Julius K9 phone number not working so wrote an email requesting a replacement. Received an answer on the same day, posted back the harness that day and received a replacement two days after sending the wrong size back! Not gone on a walk with it yet but have already fitted it to my nervous dog and she is very comfortable with it. Thank you Julius K9.
Causing long term damage
These harnesses cause so much long term damage! Unfortunately, a lot of people still buy them, not knowing what these harnesses actually do. First, they cut in at the throat as they sit too high (a harness needs to sit on the breast bone, the sternum, to protect the neck). Second, they restrict free movement of the shoulder: the big strap at the front goes across the shoulder joint, the (usually very big) buckle on the left causes pain with every step as the leg tries to swing back, the bottom strap cuts into the armpit (axilla) on most models, the huge firm fabric at the top covers the shoulder blade completely. The shoulder and front leg cannot move naturally in these types of harness. The purpose of a harness is to protect the neck when they pull. A harness should never be used as a training device or anti pulling device. These harnesses do just that - prevent a dog from pulling because they are painful. Consequence? A dog changes its whole biomechanics of movement, leading and contributing to long term damage, for example back problems, hip problems, cruciate injuries, shoulder problems, elbow problems...you get the picture. Please don't buy them. They were not designed with the dog's health in mind. (written by a veterinary surgeon and Galen Myotherapist who is frustrated with badly designed harnesses and the damage they cause because I see it several times a day at work)

Cannot fault this company
Cannot fault this company, ordered a harness and it arrived the next day. It was fantastic quality but I ordered the wrong size, I emailed them and they could not have done anymore. I received an email confirmation of the new size harness the next day. I will definatly by again from this company .

I have 3 Julius K9 belt harness size 0 2 have the chrome metal D ring to attach the lead the 3rd and latest one which is what I am reviewing is awful the plastic replacement D ring keeps snagging on the lead attachment and the ring keeps trying to twist within the webbing I will not use it anymore and will only buy another if it’s confirmed by seller to be metal and not plastic This I purchased on 17-5-2025 through Amazon but only reviewed today thanks for reading

Nothing but praise for julius k9 uk. I made an error when ordering rather than send me the incorrect order, they checked with me, pointed out my possible error and asked if I had made a mistake. When I realised and told them they corrected the error and refunded me the difference. Grestvsrtbice
Leads are not fit for purpose
We’ve had two jk9 leads with clip fittings and both have now just started slipping off the harness clip. One is 6 months old and one about a month old. Luckily these events happened away from main roads. We’ve tried alternating the way we apply the clip to minimise the chance of a harness clip triggering the release accidentally but it did it again. There’s something wrong with the design, the spring or overall q&a but they are going in the bin as we cannot trust them. My wife is still waiting for a response to the issue from the company.

Terrible designed plastic buckle
Terrible designed plastic buckle, just pops open when dog lunges at something. Avoid this junk and get something with a metal buckle. No good for big strong dogs

Poor warranty
So I bought a harness from julius K9 thinking it would be one of the best. I started to notice the handle on top fraying, so I started the returns policy with them. I had not noticed the buckle clip had small teeth marks on the clip itself on return, if I had noticed then in my communication with them I would have said. But regardless of this I could see it was a manufacturing defect.
I eventually sent it back for them to look, I heard nothing from them for days. Suddenly I got a text from Royal Mail saying the harness was dispatched, I thought great what an amazing company. But to my disappointment, when I opened the package I found my harness was returned to me. So I emailed them and they explained the teeth marks and that they could not do anything.
I was very annoyed as the area the handle was in had no damage from the dog. There were plastic clips by the handle that had no damage and the handle showed no damage from the dog either.
I felt they were acting like an insurance company and just wanted an easy out to prevent replacing the defect. Safe to say, I will be only buying from bully billows from now on.
