Kings Lynn Model Shop Avis 

I ordered a Lipo charger Thursday night. Friday morning I was contacted by Kings Lynn Models to confirm the order just before the bank holiday. It was the cheapest price on the net and post free.
I got regular updates about the status of my order and it arrived the following Wednesday in the timeframe as expected. First class service and a great product.

I join several others I regret to say. Made the order, money taken, 2 weeks later no delivery, no e mails on order status. Rang up. Rang me back to say product discontinued and would be a few more days to get an alternative. When asked why I had not been told he said he had not seen the order till now. I asked for an immediate Paypal refund which he did while I was on the phone. Judge for yourselves. After wasting my time I will search again for the product. My advice is read the reviews for customer service and believe them.

I recently ordered an item which I returned to them for a refund under the distance selling regulations.

After 3 reminders, and the passing of a week, no refund has been provided.

I am a long standing customer and can't believe this Extremely poor service.

It's the last order I will place with them and may end up in court action to recover my refund if it's not received by Monday.

First class retailer ordered my blackhorse Harmon rocket at 11am arrived safely at 9.30 am next day. Well packed and checked. Very helpful staff...

Terrible customer service, due to set of 4 pin vices being out of stock they offered me 3 individual ones for the same price! INCREDIBLE!!!!
The order was being held up due to missing stock but they never bothered to let me know, I only found out when I rang to enquire why the order was still pending 4 days later.
Hopeless!!!!!

Ordered accessories on Sunday, goods arrived Wednesday, in DJI packaging.

I am bemused by the poor reviews. I have used Kings Lynn model shop several times over the past 3 years. On each occasion the order has been dealt with promptly, if there has been a problem I have been contacted and alternatives have been agreed or I have had a refund. On most occasions my order has been shipped the next working day and because they use dpd I have had good visibility of when the parcel would arrive and have had the option of redirecting it to a collection point.
Based on my experiences I would have no hesitation in continuing to shop with them.

Ordered an item online Tuesday 18th July. According to the site they despatch within 24 hours. Absolute Rubbish. Obviously took money straight away. 3 days later Order still Pending. Emailed them. 3 Days later, still no reply, so called to Cancel. Bloke answers the phone and didn't seem to care a bit or even want to know why I was cancelling. Worst Company ever. They have obviously set up an online shop to have a presence but I don't think they can be hassled to honour any online purchases. AVOID ONLINE AT ALL COSTS!

Two orders placed recently and both a waste of time. Payment taken immediately even on items out of stock. Had to phone to find out delivery was at least two months away. More recently ordered in stock items only to be told two days later that they were not and at least a week wait.
Still waiting for PayPal refund despite 3 emails and two phone calls. I will NEVER use again.

I have used them for years. They are a model shop that caters for both online shopping and as a local go to model shop, for asking advice and instructions on what gear is needed, or on how to best repair a crashed model.

They are very good. However they seem to lack communication, emailing etc. From my experience of visiting and having seen there shop up front, they seem to be overloaded all the time with phone calls, online orders and walk in customers. Although this is not entirely there fault for being popular, this does not negate the fact that when you try to communicate, there isn't always an answer.

They should try to find a solution to this problem, if that means hiring an admin assistant part time or scaling back?? then so be it.

All that said, I certainly won't deny that there shop is very good and they certainly know there stuff. Always have a brilliant selection and spare parts. I have ordered off there website a couple of times when I have not had time to go into the shop and its always been spot on.

Excellent model shop. Extremely helpful and quick delivery.

Disgusting service. Ordered a Dynam AT-6 from them which was on order about a month ago. Ive sent several emails with no reply. Phoned them up and they said it would be in the shop early last week and then sent out. Nothing as yet. No email confirming anything. Left a Facebook message and still nothing. So if you read this Kings Lynn Model Shop I hope you go out of business because you certainly don't know how to run one properly!

i bought a model off them and after building it, on the first flight the wings folded up mid air. i emailed to tell them this, no reply. i phoned, they said they would phone the importer. 2 weeks later i emailed again. no answer. so i took a complaint out against them with pay pal. next day a phone call. 'oh mate send it back to us and we will send it to the importer." well i did and of course had to pay for the postage. then no replies to emails. then the Pay pal complaint ran out of time, (very suspicious) and i haven't heard anything back from them still. so they have had my money and return postage money and still no answer.
Complete rubbish, do not deal with them. if something goes wrong you might as well talk to a wall and just throw your money down a drain.

Great company - very helpful advise given on the phone prior to purchase which resulted in me making an immediate order. Order was dispatched within two hours and delivered before 10am the following day.

All arrived safely and packaged well and was the cheapest price i could find. What else do you need from an online purchase??

Terrible service and dreadful at customer service and communication. Ended up with a very disapointed son and I even had to pay for the postage even though it was the shop fault. Comptetely ignored my emails.

Do not use Kings Lynn Model or be the next victim.

Bought a DJI Phantom 3. Sent an email at about 2 asking if it was in stock, Steve had replied within 10 minutes saying if i ordered before 3 it would be with me tomorrow.

As promised the phantom arrived well packaged midday next day.

Simple transaction. Would recommend.

I paid for the item (actually overpaid in comparison to other stores more than £100) - money left my credit bank account and they wrote me an email:

[...] we have cancelled the order and denied the payment as the billing details do not appear to match/not UK registered. Could you please resubmit the order using the correct billing details and ensure the card you are using is UK registered as we only accept payment from details that are registered in the UK.

But The truth is money £1132 left my bank account and my bank is not able to get those funds. I contacted store by email and not having reply by phone - I have asked for the confirmation by email when and how they have canceled this transaction.

The problem, bigger issue is they do not have that product and money are on theirs bank/pay pal account.

I do a lot of transactions and professional business account funds transfer happens nearly in real time, the guy on the phone told me that I have to wait 3 - 5 days to see money back on my account!!! Unbelievable! Also the store promised to send me an email with a screen grab of their account to prove the cancelation but they did not send it to me - Liars.

Disrespect for the client, lack of communication, misleading fake advertisement and funds locking == Kings Lynn Model Shop.

I used Kings Lynnn Model Shop for a gift for my husband, he hd asked for a Quad Copter and not knowing exactly what to get I gave the store a call to guidance.
I felt I was given clear help of what would be needed plus optional extras without any pushiness, I know nothing about these so their help was invaluable.
No doubt I will be calling again when the Christmas present list comes out!

I bought a Hangar 9 Super Cub from KLMS. The windscreen was cracked, on delivery to the shop.

They ordered in a new kit as it was easier to get a kit than a screen and pulled the screen out of that within 2 days, leaving me to get home and start building straight away.

What more can you ask for???
