Kite Flooring Avis 

We chose Kite to fit our flooring expecting to pay a premium for the peace of mind that comes with end to end service.

What we got was really poor communication - unanswered queries, getting passed around between staff members, none of whom seemed to know what the next was doing and the anxiety that comes with it.

The majority of work was carried out by contractors the firm sourced from social media.

Throughout the job, the workers consistently prioritised what was easiest/quickest for themselves rather than doing the job properly.

Follow up communication was incredibly poor, would not expected to have heard anything if we'd not withheld some money to cover damage done by the fitter, and even then it came months later and didn't strike me as serious or genuine.

When I started to research wooden floor companies in London Kite stood out with a lot of positive reviews. I showed interest in different colours and just a little later a personalised document arrived in my inbox with the options, examples and quotes. The samples came in the post very soon too.

Patrick visited our house to show the samples and look at potential issues. We had to delay the laying of the floor slightly as our builders weren't ready yet, but Sasha managed to find us a slot fairly quickly. James spent 3 days being really precise and laid a fabulous floor throughout our ground floor. We are very very happy with the floor and the customer experience was truly great. We hope it wall last for many years to come.

We are so pleased with the herringbone wooden floor that Kite supplied and installed in our house. From start to finish the team were fantastic - from bringing sample boards so we could see how the different finishes looked in the space, to the installation where the team worked long days to get everything fitted with minimal disruption. The attention to detail is fantastic, and the finished floors look brilliant. Highly recommended.

Opening a shop and needed flooring on a tight turnaround time. I was desperate so contacted every online flooring company in the Uk and walked into about 15 in London (east and west). I am SO grateful to have found Kite Flooring - couldnt have dealt with better people who went above and beyond. After being in their showroom i knew i was getting the flooring there, no question about it. In the end found something exactly in budget, with the delivery date required. Was great dealing with the buisness owners rather than some generic customer service rep too. Highly recommened. You will not be disappointed.

Highly recommend using Kite Flooring. The quality of the flooring itself was very high (we used both straight boards and herringbone in multiple rooms around the house) and the service was excellent. Both in terms of communication generally with Andy, Sasha and the team, and also in terms of the expert fitting - particularly of the herringbone which had to be laid across nearly the whole ground floor including some very tricky spaces around stairs.

Great end to end service, starting with Andy's consulting and guidance at the start. Then Robbie (head fitter) helped guide us through the prep process and then Ryan and the team laid the flooring. Ryan went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend!

We have had a great experience with Kite, who installed herringbone engineered oak flooring in our living room. The floor is absolutely stunning (as an architect I am very picky), but we were equally impressed with how easy Kite were to work with. From day one, when they brought large scale sample boards to the site so that we could have a look at them in the actual space, through to the installation itself which was painless and quick, via lots of rearranging of dates by us as our construction project was delayed, they've been super helpful, flexible and professional. 100% would recommend!

We ordered a chevron floor from Kite flooring. A personable, no nonsense and honest sales front end, combined with superb fitters and great oversight. We could not recommend Ed and his team highly enough. Having finished our kitchen/ diner recently we are happily welcoming them back to complete our living room. Excellent!

Great service from start to end. Harry came to our property in Essex and brought all different samples so we could see what they’d look like in our home, with our lighting etc. We’re over the moon with the finished product, Daniel herringbone. It’s completely transformed our property, and has received so many compliments already. The job only took 3 days and the guys were so neat and tidy, which we were so grateful for considering we’d only just finished painting all our rooms.

Great product, great team, great aftercare, love the floor!

Ed and the team did a really good job on quite a tricky project. The quality was great and I could tell they really care about making the flooring look and feel really great. Also appreciated the way they laid out the different choices and didn’t try and bump me up to the most expensive option.

I used Kite flooring to resand some existing parquet flooring, and then to lay new flooring on an entire floor (2nd). I had found them via word of mouth.

The sanding job was outstanding and was a nice surprise given another flooring firm had said that it would all need to be replaced and was ‘done for’…

The new floor on level 2 has lifted the whole feel of the house and has made the whole area feel less cluttered and far fresher.

The finish on all was outstanding and, pricing was lower than quoted elsewhere. Moreover the team were very patient in terms of hours spent and given my timings weren’t flexible they were happy to work to my target hours. As a smaller point, I have a very young son - the team were polite and cautious around him and his mother at all times which we really appreciated.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the firm to anyone else looking for too spec wooden floor.
