I am writing this review to document a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience with Krea AI, specifically regarding their advertised promotion for Seedance 2.0.
I purchased a subscription on April 16 under the understanding that I would receive unlimited access to Seedance 2.0 as part of a promotional offer. That promise was a major factor in my decision to subscribe. However, from the moment I began using the service, the promotion never functioned as advertised.
Instead of unlimited usage, the system immediately began deducting credits from my account every time I attempted to generate content using Seedance 2.0. This directly contradicted the terms of the promotion.
What followed was even more troubling.
I spent two full days trying to get assistance. During that time, I received little to no meaningful support. Eventually, a representative told me the issue had been resolved and that everything would now work properly.
It did not.
When I returned to the platform and attempted to use Seedance again, the system consumed over 1,000 credits in a single session. When I went back to Discord support to report the problem, I was told:
“The promo is over.”
That response was unacceptable.
The promotion never worked for me in the first place. I signed up on April 16 specifically because of that offer. Telling a customer that the promotion is over, after it never functioned as promised, is not a solution. It is a dismissal.
What made the situation worse was the tone of the response. Instead of attempting to fix the issue, provide compensation, or even acknowledge the problem, the interaction ended with a casual thumbs-up reaction. That came across as dismissive and unprofessional.
At that point, I made the decision to cancel my subscription.

I signed up because of a specific promise: unlimited access to Seedance 2.0.
That promise was never honored.
Instead, I lost credits, lost time, and received minimal support. Being told that the promotion had ended, when it never worked to begin with, felt dishonest and dismissive.
Because of this experience, I chose to cancel my subscription.

It’s disappointing, as it turns what felt like a smooth and reliable experience into something that ultimately failed. I would have happily continued otherwise.
Given these conditions, it might make more sense to use the underlying AI tools directly rather than going through an additional subscription layer.

The credit system is confusing and poorly designed, generation speed is slow even on lighter models, and customer support is largely unresponsive. The interface is unintuitive and appears intentionally structured in a way that makes it hard to predict how many credits will be charged. Overall, a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

I have no background in graphic design and am easily overwhelmed with too many options, so I think Krea was not for me. I wish I were younger, as I feel like younger generations would have a better learning curve for apps like this. Also they have more time than adults!! Lol. But I had an issue come up with billing and they resolved it completely for me, so A++ on customer service. I would recommend but maybe plan to spend the time needed to learn the program.

I was looking for a free ai to remove text from my image and being completely honest Krea was the only one that gave an image where it was not at all noticeable that there was something there before. every single other website on the top search gave a blurred area but Krea's was completely perfect. And for it to be free too? Really Thanks. Grateful. I really hate how Krea has low reviews. Hope they get the attention they deserve!!

No Response From Support
We have sent multiple emails and have not received a single response. Krea is also completely unreachable via Instagram. This lack of communication is unacceptable.
In addition, the app itself is extremely confusing and poorly designed, making it very difficult to navigate or manage subscriptions properly.
How are we supposed to cancel our subscription under these circumstances? Either respond to our emails immediately or provide a clear, reliable way to contact your support team. This situation is unacceptable and must be resolved without further delay.
Krea's colorizer is now completely ruined
Krea's colorizer was great, but now completely spoiled by over-saturated colours and AI-slop, artifial looking results. Since Xmas 2025 they have added an unacceptable creative layer. Realistic colorization results no longer appear.
Incredibly useful tool!
I had subscriptions to MidJourney, RunwayAI, Civitai and others, but Krea was the best. The reason is that I could control the generated image much better than any other app. I selected my Photoshop canvas as the source image, and whatever I painted in Photoshop was refined beautifully, and I could adjust the AI strength and other factors. Super useful!!

Very bad experience – unauthorized charges after account deletion
I deleted my Krea account a long time ago, but they are still charging my card every month.
I no longer have access to the account, I cannot log in, and there is no active subscription visible, yet the payments continue.
Customer support is either unreachable or unhelpful, and there is no clear way to stop the charges once the account is deleted. This feels extremely unprofessional and unfair.
I do not recommend Krea to anyone. Be very careful with your payment details.

After I accidentally made a wrong transaction by subscribing to an annual plan instead of a monthly one, the support team handled the situation quickly and professionally and issued a full refund. Great customer service and a very reliable experience overall. Highly recommended.
