I had a thoroughly disappointing experience with Kynah's online store.
I ordered a custom-made lehenga for my wedding in August & provided my measurements with the expectation that the garment would be tailored to fit perfectly. However, when it arrived, the skirt’s waist was significantly too small, designed for a 24-inch waist instead of the 27.5 inches I had specified.
With just a few weeks to go until my wedding, I reached out to Kynah to address the issue, but instead of collaborating to resolve it, they insisted that the skirt had been made correctly. To verify what was obvious to me, I had two independent Indian tailors examine the garment, and both confirmed that it was not made to my measurements and appeared to have been made for a much smaller waist.
The most frustrating aspect was not just the incorrect sizing but the gaslighting & also the complete lack of accountability and willingness to rectify the situation. When you purchase a custom garment, the expectation is that it will be made to your specifications or that the company will address any apparent manufacturing errors.
Based on my experience, I would be highly cautious about ordering custom clothing from Kynah. The quality of customer service after the sale was particularly disappointing, leaving me with an expensive custom piece that I couldn’t wear.
