My ladder developed a split in one of the tubes emailed Customer Services and my issue was dealt with by Carly. Carly provided excellent timely communication and delt with my issue very quicky and professionally with a replacement ordered and out for delivery within 3 working days. I would recommend BPS they provide excellent products and Carly in Customer Services is a star.

Having just taken delivery of a home master scaffold tower to re-oil our external timber cladding, I realised I had ordered a size too short to reach the gable ends. I called the BPS Depot phone number and within a few minutes, Carly had answered my call and very quickly and efficiently helped us resolve the issue with the minimum of fuss. It is very refreshing and reassuring to be able to speak to a knowledgeable person after making an online purchase, rather than deal with confusing chat bots or live messaging. Also delivery by DX was faultless too. Thank you!

My dad (a pensioner) bought a ladder from them, it's faulty so he requested a return via email and after a whatsapp conversation it was agreed that he should package it for return and they'd arrange a courier. He's been waiting over a fortnight for the ladder to be collected. He tried to contact to check for a date so he could be sure to be home and he's being left on hold.

Similar to the 1* review below - ordered a ladder with next day delivery to be told it was out of stock and would be available in 3-4 weeks. It’s now been 3 weeks and no communication.

I contacted them for an update multiple times on their WhatsApp and via their customer service email to receive no reply. Their website form doesn’t even work either!

Useless company.

UPDATE (16 Oct 2025): BPS finally got in touch, but only after I left this negative review (shock). Quick to take your money but the experience has been poor from start to finish.

I was even asked to change my review to positive now they’ve responded, but the damage is already done.

The item is STILL out of stock, after nearly 4 weeks, but available to order online. Therefore, requested a refund. Didn’t even receive confirmation that they would be processing a refund, so I had to follow up on that too :)

They explained that delays in comms were due to staff shortages and personal circumstances, which I sympathise with, but customers should never be left in silence for weeks after chasing multiple times. A business needs proper processes in place so that basic customer service is not dependent on whether one or two people are available.

Ordered a ladder a month ago that was in stock with guaranteed next day delivery £300 spent. Got an email later in the day saying it was out of stock and would be 3-4 weeks back ordered. A month later zero communication from the company despite several emails asking for delivery update. Phoned them on a Friday to be told they were coming in on the Monday and would get a delivery notification for delivery on tuesday. No delivery conformation. No delivery on the Tuesday. Useless company and service will never be using them again.

Great product- so lightweight compared to others, yet sturdy. Unfortunately I had a few problems. Carly at customers services was so kind and went out of her way to help me resolve my issue. In this day and age, it feels like a rarity. Thank you again.

3 years after buying my ladders BPS sent me a part which had broken (not something they had supplied!) This was a lovely gesture and they did not charge me for this part...

Dealing with the company was a pleasure. The ordering process was very easy which was followed by a quick delivery. A slight problem with my order was dealt with quickly and professionally by Carly who exercised outstanding customer service. Carly was extremely helpful and her communications was excellent. BPP pride themselves on customer service and they have every right to do so. Thank you.

I had lost my nuts and bolts for the ladder roof hooks I'd bought a few years back and was therefore unable to use the roof hooks. After an email and phone call to clairfy what I was missing BPS stepped up and provided the part free of charge. What great customer service. Carly went above and beyond and is a credit to this company, thank you.

Had to chase them constantly, excuses and delays. Had to cancel in the end as lost faith they can deliver

I bought my foldable ladder in 2012. It has never let me down, My only problem was recently when the end of the Pole Hook was amaged. I contacted BPS and they sent me a new and re-designed pole hook that arrived by first class post within 24 hours.
10/10, well done.

Some years ago I purchased a BPS multi-positioned ladder. It’s in 4linked sections and has been versatile and reliable. Used it in lots of configurations. After time I was not surprised that the plastic ‘shoes’ on the four feet showed signs of aging. What brilliant service when I rang BPS! They can supply me with replacement shoes even for this model thst I’ve had for some years. Excellent customer service. Thank you to Bryan at BPS.

Purchased three section tradepro combination ladder. Very sturdy, well designed and looks well made. Unfortunately the delivery company DX, damaged the first ladder in transit (hence score of 4 not 5).
The response to this issue from Carly at BPS was exemplary. Received a replacement 2 days after sending photos of the damage.

The same cannot be said for DX Delivery service, very poor.

Excellent company to deal with overnight delivery arrived at 8.30 am and scaffold was easy to assemble with very clear instructions a particular thanks to Carly who handled my telephone enquiry with knowledge and was very helpful, very impressed

Item (scaffolding) was never delivered, waited a week. No reason was given why. Refund given.

Be cautious as we placed an order for a ladder with their next day delivery only to be emailed 2 days later to say they are out of stock and it will take 8 weeks for a new delivery. Mind you on their website they still continue to mislead customers by saying the product is in stock and available for next day delivery. We tried to contact them multiple times for a refund via phone and via WhatsApp with no answer.

Edit: in response to the below reply, we can gladly have a chat if you responded to my queries on WhatsApp, email and/or answered the phone instead of spending your time replying to reviews.

Edit2: BPS canceled my order after a few days. They also reached out today (a couple of weeks after the incident) to apologise and offer discounts to any other products I would like. I appreciated them reaching out, but I would still be cautious when ordering from them

Ordered 5m scaffold tower. Came next day delivery but had couple of problems. Two emails and some pitures sent to customer services and told that two new parts would be sent out.
The new parts arrived early the next day so what else to say but thanks guys excellent service and will recommend to any one looking for DIY tower which is well made and great for around the home.
Kept eye on the tracking email sent to me and that gave regular updates as to where the delivery was.

Ordered the BPS Deluxe 4m x 3m full aluminium anthracite grey pergola and it didn’t disappoint. Since putting it in place on my decking my family have spent all our time out there - with the rotating slats I can keep the sun out of the house, but enjoy it outside at the same time. Striking addition to the garden, ideal for eating and entertaining.

*Updated * Initially slow communication after placing the order, I had no idea that a delivery was about to be made, (but I had missed an email from BPS sent at 8pm!, the night before), the poor DX driver said "it happens all the time"..
However, they promised overnight delivery and it was indeed delivered overnight. They need to tweak their aftersales updates and communicate more efficiently, initially I thought I might have been scammed!

However. the product (a scaffold tower), turned out to be utterly useless, flimsy, unsafe and with fake Trademarks - if you are looking to buy a tower, put your safety & life first - undertake a PASMA 1 day tower course and refer to the PASMA website for buying advice.. I returned my tower with the help of Citizens Advice and luckily received a full refund.. Sadly the local councils (Bromley) Trading Standards took no interest whatsoever...

As you must be aware the product supplied is not only 'not fit for purpose', it does not match the description on your website, namely all the certificates you claim to hold are not valid or fake:

Your EN sticker on the components, under ID 111224480 with EN1004-1:2020 ‘Certificate No: S50469729 0002’ – which you claim to be certified by TUVRheinland .tuv.com

This certificate is not valid and would appear fake.. The TUVRheinland website states:

BPS Access Solutions Ltd.
Currently no valid certificates are attached to this Certipedia ID.

Additionally, the UK Patent you claim to hold, stating that your product is "manufactured to your own UK patented design (No. 2476305)". I have checked this patent and it is simply concerned with a ‘greenhouse having a system for absorbing sunlight’! Filed as IP on 18/01/2012 and its status is “Not in Force”. Again this is fake!

It appears from a simple Google search that the company who registered the above IP (Bode Project- en Ingenieursbureau B.V., Leehove 33, 2678 MA De Lier, NL), was closed in 2019.
