Great place great swimming pools love si bar and mini World Cup

!0 of us enjoyed a stay in the recently refurbished Grand Hyatt Hotel at La Manga for 4 days golf. While the hotel was of a high standard I could not say the same about the 3 golf courses. The greens in particular were very patchy with large areas diseased or dead. We also were only told on the day of arrival that the North course had been hollowtined. This was not indicated on their website maintenance timetable.The greens were particularly bad being bumpy and furry. The West course was also not in great condition with large area on the front 9 showing signs of wild boars digging around the greens. Overall we were happy with the Hotel, but very disappointed in the golf courses that had previously a high reputation

Went on an excellent golf trip with a 3 day competition (not organised by la manga). This was held on the north & south golf courses and accommodation was in the Hotel Principe Filipe;5star. We decided to extend our stay to a full week rather than 3 days. Mistake!
The hotel was tired, the pool closed (yet still advertised on the website). The first room was a twin; we had requested a double, it smelt damp and musty as did the 2nd room & had the ventilation cover from the ceiling was on the floor. The third room was better but not 5 star and still a little musty, the taps were loose, you had to fill the bath with the shower head as the lever to switch from the shower to the bath was not there. The worst thing was the noise. Much of the hotel was closed for refurbishment (not on the website). The work started at 0730 until the evening and could be heard in our room with the windows & shutters closed and around the grounds.. drilling, hammering power tools etc.
Both golf courses needed some attention, particularly the greens which were very bad. The company that hosted the event intimated that they were not inclined to use La Manga again.
I believe the Hotel is about to shut completely soon until next May in order to complete the work. It is a pity they did not inform booked guests about the ongoing work in order that they might choose whether or not to stay. Very poor.

I highly recommend La Manga Tennis Club

We just have been there with a group of 26 players from Denmark and I must say that we had the best tennis camp in years.

We lived in Las Lomas complex and we played twice a day on clay courts and dined in different restaurants every night.

Great courts and facilities in general.
Great service and hospitality.
