I had a great experience working with Landed on purchasing our home during the pandemic. It was a smooth process and I felt that everyone was very supportive. It was a team effort and I felt that everyone in the team looked after my best interest.

Landed did a wonderful job connecting us with an amazing realtor who helped us find the perfect place for us. They also provided us with important information for buying a house. Even though we did not end up using their downpayment plan, they were still helpful and did not pester us about not using their money.

Landed is the best program around for those of us who want to get into the housing market, but can't do it on our own.

Unfortunately with the current inflation situation, we needed to pause our house hunting. I look forward to re-connecting with Landed when the market gets stable again.

I strongly recommend this program. I would have given five stars had we been able to make a purchase.

Landed has been super helpful and prompt with responses to any email questions I've had with the process. We are having difficulty finding our ideal home within our budget and Landed has graciously allowed us to extend our search period.

I've had 2 connections with Landed and each time the person(s) Kathleen and another. that I spoke with were helpful and informative. I think this program coupled with BMR housing for teachers are helpful to aiding instructors a way into the housing market.

People at Landed are very friendly, professional, and prompt. In this fast-moving housing market, it is always good to know that I can get assistance when I need it. I had a good understanding of the company before I signed up for the program and its business concept made sense to me.

Great training and customer service. The support needs to be to help you qualify for the program to include how to save money in this current economy

It is great to get you into a home in which you may not normally be able to get into. However, there are several complications that can come with using Landed, such as there are with any partnership. For example, getting refis are not as easy to do with Landed as your partner. Not to mention how complicated the buyout process is to end your contract with them. I understand that they have to have a system in which to make money, but their process seems very unfair, or more importantly, it is unclear how unfair it is. For many people (us including) we would still choose to use Landed knowing how unfair they were because moving into a home we wanted was worth it for us. However, finding out after the fact makes you feel like you've been conned and that is not a nice feeling. Note that we did this 3 years ago so some of their policies may have changed since then. So after about 6 months in our new home, several improvements and rates dropping we decided to refi and with our new equity, buy out our contract with Landed. Now, Landed said at the time that they don't get credit for improvements we made on the house. However it seems that in the appraisal process they can't (or won't) seem to give specific values to home improvements. They will say it adds to the value of the home, but not how much value. So even though we added siding to the home (which according to the appraisal reports made our 50 yr old home look 10 yr old), full solar panels, insulation, an AC unit and new top of the line energy efficient furnace, because the appraiser would not give a dollar value to those improvements (and they would not use the dollar value we spent), Landed would not give us credit for any of them. So I had to get my own appraiser, which was about 75K less when not factoring in those improvements. However, this was not good enough so we needed a 3rd appraiser and finally after many back and forth emails and then to eventually a supervisor we finally settled on a price somewhere in between.
So I would recommend Landed for some people, but encourage you to read up and know all the details of the buy out contract, particularly in terms of improvements you make.

We have been so impressed with the professionalism, knowledge, and responsiveness of the Landed Team. Their work and service has made it possible for us to purchase our home. I would most definitely recommend them to friends and colleagues.

I think this is a great company. My husband started a new business and we didn't have the necessary documents to buy a house on our own. This a great way for us to do so!

This program doesn’t really make sense to me. There is downpayment assistance, sure, but you have to qualify for the entire loan on your own? If I could qualify for the loan on my own I wouldn’t need downpayment assistance. This isn’t helpful to CSU employees unless they’re dual-income/ married.

The purchasing experience was relatively easy. Follow-up has been more challenging (we moved our house to a trust and had to double pay because it wasn't clear what role/timeline Landed needed) and we consistently get requests to exit our agreement, when we've communicated that we are not currently interested.

I was excited about trying out the program BUT it was not what I expected. Yes they linked me with a mortgage rep but that wasn't my issue. My issue was working with them to see how I can get a loan despite my student loans and that was never addressed.
