    Don't do it!

    They are super helpful to get you in the door and once you sign up you get hit with many fees and then every month it seems like the prices go up. Even if you don't want the added features, you have to pay for it. We pay for them to handle our taxes which is another nightmare in itself. IRS constantly sends letters saying the payments aren't being paid out correctly. It's like pulling teeth when you are trying to get your refunds from them. All in all, I wish we would have never switched to this system.

    We have been with Poslavu since 2013 and we have always received good service when there have been small problems, we can contact them 24/7 and have always had the problem solved in no time. So a huge recommendation from here, we have had a restaurant for 22 years now. kind regards Søren from Denmark

    This company is terrible

    This company is terrible. Ever since I started using their services, I’ve had constant problems. Their customer service is awful—whenever you ask to speak to a manager, they’re always “unavailable” or “in a meeting.” Emails go unanswered as well.
    In December, their card reader stopped working, yet they continued charging me for a service they weren’t providing. This company is taking advantage of small businesses and should be held accountable. If you guys wanna sue this company i’m in.

    horrible customer service system didn’t work well for us we lost a lot of sales they were never on time with anything was so bad had to install a different service didn’t even last 30 days the sales rep said we had 30 to canceling if we weren’t happy that was a lie there during us for a 3 year contract when we didn’t even use there system for more than a week total scammers and crooks beware of this company i am warning you stay away from them you will regret it there total liers and scammers

    Absolutely terrible company

    Absolutely terrible company. If you speak English you will have a terrible time understanding their support staff. If you don't sign up to run credit card processing through them they charge an incredible amount more- they renewed my service without my permission for the year and when immediately tried to cancel it they said it is not their policy to allow me to cancel. Stay away from Lavu- so many better options out there.

    BUYER BEWARE.

    In my experience, Lavu does not honor agreed subscription pricing in a clear or predictable way. You can agree to a set rate, even pay for an entire year in advance, and still be charged additional amounts later. Price increases and so-called “value-added” features may be added to your account without clear, affirmative consent.

    When these charges are questioned, the response appears to rely on broad terms and conditions rather than the original agreed price.

    Paying upfront does not necessarily protect you from future increases.

    If you value pricing stability and transparency, proceed with extreme caution.

    Lavu’s pricing, billing structure, and service terms are outlined in the signed service agreement at the time of enrollment. While some customers choose to pay annually, that payment structure does not alter the underlying agreement terms, including how pricing or service updates may be handled over the life of the contract.

    We want to be clear that Lavu does not add services or charges to customer accounts without contractual basis. From time to time, platform enhancements or optional services may be introduced, but these are communicated and governed by the terms of the agreement.

    Where it truly counts, they deliver

    Do they have every flashy feature that some competitors boast about? Not quite — but honestly, a lot of those extras aren't really essential for running your business day to day. Where Lavu genuinely shines is in the way they treat their customers, and that makes all the difference.
    Their commitment to customer service and satisfaction is on another level entirely. You can tell they actually care about the people using their product, and that dedication is what keeps me loyal. At the end of the day, having a team that truly has your back matters far more than any fancy add-on. That's what sets Lavu apart from the rest.

    Very helpful

    He helped me figure out our 80% and 100%. I needed to know if it was food or alcohol. I needed to know this to do the mixed beverage tax report. They showed up on the end of the day report in our comps and discounts. I had no idea how to figure it out. All I knew was the day it occurred on. He showed me how to do it. He also printed it off for me and sent in an email for my backup in my report because I could not do it that way. My print printed the background also and not the whole receipt just what it saw on the screen. He was very helpful.

    Constantly increasing prices

    When I first signed on to use LAVU I did so because they had a great introductory offer and I was assured over the phone they would keep me on that price for two years. Within a year, that cost had doubled. Now it's three years later and it feels like they increase the monthly cost every six months, sometimes under the guise of adding features no one was asking for and requiring no confirmation from their users.

    They are absolutely taking advantage of the fact that it would be difficult to switch POS systems. Shady behavior, and I can't recommend them because of it.

    Introductory or promotional pricing, when offered, is always outlined in the signed agreement along with the applicable term and renewal structure. Pricing adjustments do not occur arbitrarily, and any changes tied to added functionality, service enhancements, or contractual renewals are communicated in advance in accordance with the agreement.

    We understand that price changes can be frustrating, especially for small business owners managing tight margins. That said, we do not increase pricing without notice, nor do we rely on customers feeling “locked in.” Many of our customers stay with us long-term because they see continued value in the platform and support.

    I normally don’t write reviews like this, but after my experience with Lavu, I feel obligated to warn other business owners.

    From the very beginning, I was misled about processing rates. What was presented during the sales process did not match what we actually experienced once we were live. We tried to work through it and move forward, but the issues never stopped.

    The tablets are unreliable and the card readers constantly go down especially during busy times when you absolutely cannot afford it. Getting equipment replaced feels nearly impossible and takes far longer than it should. For a POS company serving restaurants and bars, downtime like this is unacceptable.

    Recently, they implemented a 12% price increase and justified it as “better support” and additional features yet many of those add-ons still cost extra. So you’re paying more without actually receiving more.

    When you call support, communication is extremely difficult. It’s hard to understand who you’re speaking with, and getting escalated to someone with authority feels impossible. You can’t easily reach a supervisor, and even leaving honest feedback publicly isn’t straightforward.

    In my opinion, the overwhelming number of 5-star reviews doesn’t reflect the experience we’ve had. Something about that disconnect raises questions. Yet I can’t even leave a review on Google. Makes you think where these 5 star reviews actually came from.

    Running a restaurant is hard enough. Your POS system should make life easier, not more stressful.

    I would strongly advise other business owners to do extensive research before committing. There are better, more transparent options out there.

    My advice. Stay far away.

    Absolutely the worst pos system on the…

    Absolutely the worst pos system on the market the company forces you into a contract and tells you they won't charge your account until activation. Then double the monthly cost without knowledge. By adding extra services without consent. And after I told them I was not interested they debited my account over 6 grand. Restaurants should stay far away from them.

    Our records show a service agreement was signed on September 23, 2025, which outlines when billing begins, what services are included, and the cancellation terms. Subscription billing begins at contract commencement and is not dependent on a future activation or go-live date.

    No services were added without authorization, and no early termination penalties were assessed. Charges applied were consistent with the signed agreement and the timing of the cancellation. Hardware provided under our Hardware-as-a-Service program was eligible for return, with return shipping handled per the contract terms.

    While we regret that we were unable to move forward together, we respectfully disagree with the characterization of our practices. We remain committed to transparency and encourage you to contact our support team directly if you’d like to further review your account.

    What matters!

    Do they offer all the bells and whistles of some of their competitors, no (and some of those aren't necessarily essential to doing business). Do they operate at a different level for their customers, YES! Customer service and dedication to customer satisfaction is what sets Lavu apart from their competition.
