A year of hell

I’ve been in cahoots with Lexington Blue for over a year and have waited to write a review in hopes that they will make things right and actually finish their job. At this point, they’ve stopped returning emails to us and the people we’ve worked with have blocked our cell phone numbers, so the only thing I CAN do is write a review. I hope it deters others from hiring this embarrassment of a company.

A storm ripped through our neighborhood in July of 2023, and a few days later, Daniel Liponi, a Lexington Blue sales representative came knocking on my door. He offered a free inspection to see if there was any storm damage, and lo and behold, he found some! We submitted the paperwork he filled out to insurance and got our insurance to approve the job for a specific amount. Lexington Blue asked for us to pay 50% of the cost up front, so we got the check from insurance, and did so quickly. By the end of July, we had chosen the color of our shingles, signed all contracts, and they had THOUSANDS of dollars from us. Daniel told us we would have a new roof in 6-8 weeks, and we would get about a week’s notice before.

8 weeks later, we’d not heard from Daniel. My husband called and left voicemails, and texted him several times with no reply. I did as well. This went on for months - October, November, and December. After reading the fine print on our contract, we realized that our contract was about to expire, so my husband called at the in January and said that we wanted our money back so we could take our business elsewhere. What do you know, but the scheduler called us back that day and booked us for the next week - on January 31st. At this point, we were 6 months post our initial encounter with Lexington Blue, and they had been sitting on THOUSANDS of dollars for about 5 months. I also would like to add that there’s a clause in the contract that stops us from writing any negative reviews until several months after the contract has been signed - and they scheduled the roof install for just before we could’ve written anything.

Installation day came and they showed up early and stayed in the dark to finish. We received a text from Daniel asking us to leave him a 5 star review on Google. This was the last contact we had from him.

The supervisor came back the next day, and while walking the property, my husband noticed some issues, including no drip edge installed on the back of the house, trim pieces installed in the wrong spot, a vent fan improperly placed that was making a lot of racket, and the fact that they had dropped nails on and ripped our brand new $700 hot tub cover.

Trustpilot is not allowing me to write the entire breadth of what happened, but in short: 1) it took us months to get a team sent over to fix the issues we had 2) the team spoke no English, they were not given the supplies to fix it properly 3) Lexington Blue stopped replying to us at all but sent us an invoice for $3000 higher than our contract amount and no credit for the hot tub cover they destroyed. It’s been over a year since we initially worked with them and the job is not done. Kamron the scheduler won't reply to our emails, Daniel the salesman won't either, and the multiple "supervisors" we've requested to come out won't come out. We are now at a stalemate.
