LifeX DNA reports change over time with latest studies and information

After contacting Gary Brecka (TikTok guy that talks about methylation), only to find he doesn’t offer services in Australia, I was referred to LifeXdna by a friend who had tested some months ago. I ordered online and was sent my simple test kit with easy instructions. I was informed that results would take about 4 weeks.

Once I got my results, I made contact to get some help navigating straight to the more important ones. I was put onto Robert, who was very helpful.

As my two sons had found out they had an MTHFR deficiency, I was looking for answers, to see if I had the same, and whether it contributed to my mild anxiety and troubles sleeping. Turns out I don’t have that mutation, however, it was identified that I had other methylation issues, likely related to my mining shift work in WA’s Pilbara.

Since starting on their recommendations, I’ve now regulated my sleep patterns and am bounding out of bed at 4am feeling like I’m good to go.

Don’t be daunted by the amount of reports you get (coz it’s a lot of info) , but focus on the important ones knowing you’ve still got the rest of them for life. They reminded me that your DNA doesn’t change.

Pretty disappointed overall. Very big reports with no practical plan of action. I started an in-depth health check with a different company that also does DNA tests (which I found out too late) and they were not impressed with the summary report by LifeXDNA as it's hard to read or make sense of.

I can summarise in about 2-3 sentences all the value I received by the reports with no idea how to proceed and no support at all - just buttons to generate endless reports
