Llandudno Pier Avis 

Absolute disaster – worst experience imaginable. Avoid at all costs. 16/08/2026
Yesterday we got stuck at the Llandudno Cable Car lower station/car park area after a family day out. We stood in a queue for TWO HOURS just to get back up to the Llandudno summit car park. The moment we were about to board, they suddenly closed the cable car. Just like that.
We are a family of 6 with young kids. There was no realistic way for us to walk the roughly 1-mile steep uphill path back to the top. Staff told us to go back into the town and get the bus. At 5:30 pm.
Reality check:
• No buses
• No tram
• No taxis
• No Uber
No Internet
Hundreds of families were left stranded. People (including kids and elderly) were sitting on the paths with nowhere to go. Complete chaos and zero contingency.
Staff were outright dishonest. They kept distracting and misleading the crowd by claiming buses would be available to get people back up the mountain. Pure lies. Nothing arrived. We were abandoned.
This was a terrible day that turned into a complete nightmare for our family and so many others. Totally not recommended. The operation is poorly managed, unsafe for families, and the staff cannot be trusted.

Went to Llandudno for the day and although it was a nice place and had a sandy beach, to be totally honest it wasn't anything special.
The beach and pier are a long walk from the train station and wasn't really worth the effort.
Shops were ok and lots of coffee and cake places but not really my cup of tea.

Terrible fish and chips from outlet at beginning of pier. Slimey fish, dreadful so called batter and undercooked frozen chips for a tenner; never again. Even seagulls were unsure before they ate this muck I threw at them. Don't go to that so called chippy, the one with the 2 shutes and school kids serving. Save your money. The rest of pier was just over expensive stalls selling tat and useless token arcades

Llandudno pier - in particular ladies toilet. Big queue - but despite the fact that I pointed out to all the ladies in the queue that there was an honesty charge I was the only one to pay it. There were plenty of grumbles though. Ladies - if you want great facilities - be prepared to pay a token amount to support them.

Went to Llandudno whit my girl Kimberly on Monday 27th may 2024 add best time on the pier one the best in Wales the woman in the rock shop was so lovey to use 100 recommend the gift shop the arcade was good

Always a lovely place to get some fresh air and great gift shops and food… Great Work Pier Team !

There is a 'talking telescope' that takes your £1 to use and doesn't work. There is a service mobile number that goes to answerphone and they havent got back to me. I want my money back. It's a blag.

I feel like it needs more on the Pier, maybe more food venues, seating etc it is for children mainly, lots of things for them to do. Small little fair, arcades etc. More to do at the start of the Pier and it begins to thin out a little. There is a bigger cafe at the end, visited twice (Have a fear of walking all the way to the end, so wished there was something half way lol) Some of the workers are very friendly, some can be a little short, mustn't like the English? It looks like it has had some refurb done to it, which makes it look good. Great cheese stall, so much variety, spoilt for choice. But it's a great Victorian place to visit, also Punch and Judy outside of the Pier area, which children love. All in all it's not a bad place to visit.

A traditional pier: games arcade, various stalls, lots of seats, small childrens rides, cafe at the end and excellent views of town and coastline. One bad point which affects the whole beach area as well as the pier- seagulls who attack anyone carrying food.

GO, you got time enjoy a walk along the pier.... lots of seats and the places to eat :-)

Every time I come to Llandudno I always visit the pier. I son loves it there

Llandudno itself is picturesque as is the countryside surrounding it. The pier is a traditional Victorian one and there is lots to do and see.

However, my advice if you look foreign or have darker than caucasian skin, as my wife does, is to stay away from the cheeseman on Llandudno Pier. He even offended my 88 year old mother whom my wife was accompanying.

It's a beautiful country but my wife doesn't want to return. I'm finding it difficult to convince her that not all the Welsh are unpleasant racists like the cheeseman on Llandudno Pier.
