Lola's - Kingston Bentals Centre Avis 

I’m very disappointed with Lola’s Cupcakes and the service I received regarding my birthday cake.

When I ordered the cake, I accidentally selected Sunday instead of Saturday. As soon as I realised on Friday, I called both Head Office and the Kingston store and explained the situation. I was practically begging them to help because the cake was for my birthday event on Saturday.

I completely understood when they said my specific cake couldn’t be ready a day earlier. I then asked them to cancel the order and let me use the money I had already paid towards any cake they had available in the store on Saturday. I even said I was happy to take a smaller or cheaper cake for the same amount I had already paid. I just needed a cake for my event.

Unfortunately, neither Head Office nor the Kingston store was willing to help or offer any alternative. Because of this, I had to go somewhere else on Saturday and spend money again on another cake. The Lola’s cake was therefore completely useless for my birthday.

I still collected the cake on Sunday because I had already paid for it, and honestly, that was another disappointment. The cake wasn’t tasty at all and the taste was very poor.

What upset me most was the lack of customer service. I wasn’t asking them to do the impossible. I accepted that my original cake couldn’t be ready on Saturday and was willing to take any other cake they already had in the shop, even a smaller or cheaper one. I contacted them in advance and tried to find a reasonable solution, but they simply weren’t willing to help.

I ended up paying twice for cakes, and the whole experience put unnecessary stress on my birthday. Very disappointing service and unfortunately not the experience I expected from Lola’s Cupcakes.

Lola’s never disappoints this time we got a chocolate pistachio kunaffa cake a bit of a gamble - but trusted Lola delivered with flavours with a divine cream and soft sponge! Would recommend!

I found it very straightforward to choose and order a cake online as lots of information and details were given. I picked up the cake on the day of the party and full storage instructions were given. The cake itself was superb. It looked so impressive and tasted delicious. It got so many compliments. I would definitely use Lola's again!

Always welcomed with smile, great atmosphere, gentlemen with glasses is very friendly and helpful, glad they move location(Kingston upon Thames) is more central now, everything is 5 star, I wish it will be more option on counter for gluten free allergy

Another great bake from Lola”s. This time we went for the rainbow cake which was delicious as usual. I always order from Lola’s for family birthday celebrations. Easy to order, regular updates and early pick up is possible. Tip: after your celebration, if there is any cake left over, pop it in the freezer, it’s even more delicious as a frozen dessert . Thank you Lola’s 👏 👏 . We’ll be back again soon

I ordered a unicorn cake for my daughter’s 5th birthday and it was beautiful! Everyone said the cake was delicious and there was enough for 30 children and quite a few of their parents. Lola’s is reliable and yummy - we often get our birthday cakes from them and are always happy!

My son has lots of allergies so Lola’s is perfect for him. He gets to have a yummy vegan birthday cake that everybody enjoys!

The Quality of the Cupcakes at Lola’s is really great. My favourite is the Black Forest cupcake, closely followed by the Banoffee cupcake. The Staff at the Kingston shop are also very Friendly and helpful

Lovely cake, just the right size for 6 of us

I ordered a small carrot cake for my husbands birthday and it was delicious and a perfect size too! Ordered it online and picked it up in one of their shops so all very easy.

The cake was absolutely delicious, surprisingly so because it was vegan and gluten free.
I am also grateful to Abhi, the staff member at the Kingston branch, for taking my order, even though I did not place the order in time.
