Lola's - Lola's Waterloo Avis 

I am probably Lola’s number one fan hence disappointing to have to say anything negative…I arrived at Lola’s Waterloo to purchase some cupcakes to put inside some gift bags and the lady told me I would have to pay extra for the boxes because she couldn’t put them in a box of 4 which is absolutely RIDICULOUS they are individual cupcakes and there is no deal for purchasing 4 so this was very silly. You need to give her some training or something.

Generally, Lola’s cupcakes are my favourite. The main distinguishing feature for me is their cream cheese frosting, which is absolutely delicious and gives the cupcake an extra natural flavour. They’re not like those supermarket cupcakes that are full of fat, buttercream and sugar, making them almost impossible to eat.
However, the last time I bought one, I wasn’t happy with the texture of the cupcake itself. It fell apart into pieces and had a texture almost like a gluten free cupcake, even though I specifically bought a non-gluten-free one. Perhaps, it was just one off issue and it won’t affect my future preference for Lola cupcakes. I am planning to buy Lola cake for my daughter’s birthday in September.

Lola cakes are always delicious and moist especially the birthday cakes which I love to celebrate my daughter’s birthday

Cake was delicious but not like before red velvet was my top fav but now the taste become different compared to first time I taste Lola’s cake. Dislike your staff from Waterloo branch. She’s rude and not friendly and not approachable.

There is no doubt that your cakes are great which is why I always order from here whenever someone has a birthday. But the day of my birthday I had to quite literarily fight for a free cupcake because the lady at the counter didn’t believe me. Why isn’t this automatically in your systems?

The cupcakes and brownies are delicious and affordable too! I haven’t tried their full sized cakes (yet…) but I really want to. Honestly the icing, toppings and cake are sooo yummy. I especially love the chocolate hazelnut cupcake and the cookies and cream/cookie dough brownie! Customer service is great! Staff is polite as always.

Lovely cake for a birthday that evening - there waiting when we went to collect it. Still a bit disappointed that there was no way to change even the colour of icing on a vegan cake, seems like you're just a bit too lazy to bespoke orders. You could have sent us better directions to our pick-up point underneath Waterloo station too, we were unfamiliar with the station and took a while to find you.

The cake was fresh, beautifully made, and enjoyed by everyone. Delivery to Lola’s was on time and the collection process was very smooth. When I asked to have a quick look at the cake before leaving, I was advised they couldn’t open the box due to their contamination guidelines. I hadn’t come across this before, but everything else was great and I was very happy with the overall experience.
