Customer service re returns is terrible
Bought a bunch of blouses through Debenhams. They arrived 8 days after the latest predicted delivery date and therefore missed the event I ordered them for.
I contacted customer services to return the blouses and have encountered nothing but obstruction. First email I got back was a confused email about how "they saw the blouses were delivered and I loved them". Their words, not mine.
After sending another email repeating the same desire to return because of a missed delivery deadline, I was asked for a reason (which I have by this point given twice) and additionally, a bunch of pictures of the item and it's tags, and it's condition.
This company clearly counts on you giving up on the returns process by making it has convoluted as possible, so fair warning.
