Clear information and options from the sales staff and patient with answers to my questions during my search for quotations from various suppliers. Engineer was on time, installation went smoothly and quickly finished in 2 to 3 hours. Quick set up with the app. Having lost connection with the system, (not their cause), via the app, support we're very helpful resolving the situation and in providing answers to my questions. They also provided links to online help.

Purchased Growatt 5kw battery from LR Renewables in August 2023. This company is a breath of fresh unlike other companies I got battery quotes from, other companies would harass me every couple of days not allowing me time to decide. LR Renewables tell you the price first unlike other who don’t. My PV inverter is made to last 20 years plus, the other to battery companies tried to con me to replace the PV Inverter costing me more and creating unneeded waste to the environment. Luke and Stevie in the office were very helpful provided me with the correct information I needed to help make up my mind. No hard pressure to buy from LR Renewables just honest information and excellent customer service. On the day of fitting Eden and Oakley were on time, very hardworking wouldn’t stop to eat or drink just got straight on with the job - a credit to the company. Throughout the installation Oakley and Eden communicated very well with me and each other explaining what was happening. Phoned accounts to pay the lady I spoke to was very informed about my job and took payment and was lovely on the phone just like Stevie and Luke. When I decide to buy additional storage no hesitation I will just be contacting LR Renewables. To round up my experience dealing with this company (1) Honest,open and competitive pricing. (2) knowledgeable and professional staff. (3) No pressure or hard sell unlike other companies out there. (4) Professional company to deal with. (5) Very happy customers, will use again and highly recommend.

Installed a hybrid inverter and 5kw battery to supplement my 4kw solar panels. Communication was good before and after the installation and the engineer on the day was polite and did a good job. I'm very happy with the installation and it's already drastically reduced my electricity bill. The price was competitive and I have no hesitation in recommending Lr Renewables.

When looking for an additional battery for my Growatt PV system I first got a quote from the original installer. In shopping around I obtained a quote for the same battery from LR which was 25% cheaper than the first. LR were easy to deal with (Stevie is outstandingly helpful) and the install team turned up as arranged and had the battery installed in 20 minutes. My only gripe was that the team had no job paperwork with them (using someone else's van apparently) and had to hand write a job card and were not able to leave the battery manual.
However, that is of no consequence. This is a good company and I wish that I had known about LR when I purchased the original system.

We had a battery system installed to complement our solar installation. Liam and the team at LR were very responsive and were able to book us in within 10 days to have the equipment installed. Everybody else we spoke to had lead times in months; if they answered an enquiry at all. Really can't fault these guys.. even followed up a week later with a call to make sure we were happy.

These guys really have renewables tucked up in bed. Info, installation, instruction and the install teams are nice respectful guys. We had an issue on a Thursday in Anglesey and they had a team here on Tuesday, all sorted.
They’re looking in to Wind Turbines, which we have. Watch this space for Wind/Solar packages 😎👍🏻

They added an AC coupled battery to our existing installation. I have zero complaints and can only recommend LR Renewables. They communicate well, are professional and did a tidy job. The solution is working well and saving us money.

I initially selected the wrong type of charger / inverter. They corrected that and dropped the installation price. I am so impressed.

I feel like I have been treated like a valuable customer, rather than a fence to be jumped to get payment.

Post install admin was very polite.

I had an issue whereby the batteries no longer charged. I contacted the equipment installers who were reluctant to investigate the issue due to me buying my latest additional battery from LR Renewables because of their cheaper prices. I was advised that the issue was to do with battery balancing, and as I did not buy my latest battery from them, I needed to go back to LR Renewables.
I contacted LR Renewables who were so helpful, no quibbling, no denying responsibility. I spoke to Stevie, who immediately recognised me as I bought my latest additional battery with her wrap around support during installation.
She listened and said they would investigate.
The investigation was substantial as the issue was nothing to do with battery balancing as I was originally told, but a fault in the LUX inverter which required both LUX and Uhome battery engineers to resolve. A total firmware update was required to the LUX inverter to fix the issue, co-ordinated by Stevie of LR Renewables. Luckily this could be done remotely which reduced the time to fix the issue by at least 3 days.
This is what I call 'real' customer service as I did not buy the system from LR Renewables, and they could of argued that until the issue is proved to be the additional battery bought from them, go back to your original suppliers.
Issue has been fixed for 2 weeks now and system is working perfectly.
A BIG THANK you Stevie and LR Renewables. I wholly recommend your customer service and expertise to anyone and everyone.

We wanted to add a battery system to our 10 year old solar system. After a bit of research LR renewable seemed to have good reviews and fair prices. I cant lie, we had to have a few visits to sort out some problems and I'm still not a 100% happy with some of the finished wiring but finally everything works and They did get things sorted in the end. As a small business owner i know things don't always go to plan but the guys came back and got things sorted. Thanks.

A friendly and knowledgeable team who were able to supply me with an extra battery in hardly any time, and it would have been even quicker if I didn't need to discharge our current unit first!

What a brilliant company you can trust from start to finish,I have left doing this review for a month now to let things settle down as we know sometimes things are not cracked up to be good as demonstrated & shown to you .well I can safely say this company are as good or perhaps better than I thought.had solar panels which we’re saving the wife & i money on the leccy bill but wanted to save more so after a lot of research & time talking to I think most of the solar power installers on the net , picked this company LR Renewables. I explained what I needed & what the other companies wanted to charge me .these guys did a fantastic price for me and completed installation in just a few days as arranged, no messing about turned up early got on with the job in & out cleaned up behind them and off they went . So if you are seriously thinking of getting Solar power energy system for your home.I would ring these guys 1st for your quote .I ask for Blue light discount & they gave me a discount as well after giving a quote to .seriously folks speak to this company . Will be saving for another battery as I think with 2 I will be not paying the leccy company anything in a moment .used to put £35 a week now about a tenner if I’m lucky . Oh and you get an app for your phone which shows you live everything that’s charging. Echoing previous positive reviews, which is why I chose this company.
I already had the panels and inverter, wasn’t sure which battery would suit me best. Great service from the first enquiry throughout. Friendly at every stage, never felt that I was being ‘upsold’ to anything more than I needed.
Team that did the installation were super efficient and tidied up after themselves.

We had a Growatt inverter and battery installed onto our existing solar system. From beginning to end the process was really straight forward. Stevie quickly responded to all of my queries and from my initial enquiry to installation took 3 weeks.

The process was very easy, I selected the package from the website, paid the deposit and everything then happened. We agreed an installation and then I provided a few details of my solar system and photos of where I wanted the new equipment installed, no on-site survey was necessary. On the day of installation, the guys arrived on time and within 2 hours the installation was complete. A neat and tidy job.

Following installation Stevie has continued to be helpful and all of my queries have been answered quickly (the Growatt User Guides aren’t as good as they could be).

I’d happily use LR Renewables again.

What is the process for notifying a DNO of a battery storage installation?
DNOs class energy storage (including batteries) as demand when it is importing from the distribution network and generation when exporting to the distribution network. Engineering Recommendation (EREC) G98 and G99 are the technical requirements for the connection of energy storage devices to the network (like that of Solar PV).

If EREC G98 applies to the installation, you can submit G98 Form B to the relevant DNO within 28 days of installation. You can access the form here: Form B: Single installation of microgenerator. The DNO will assess the notification and contact you if the submission is incorrect.

When EREC G99 applies, and for installations over 3.68kW with energy storage (including storage added to AC/DC side of the connections), you are required to fill out the following form: Form A1-1, application for connection of Power Generating Module(s) with Total Aggregate Capacity <50 kW 3-phase or 17 kW single phase. This form must be submitted to the relevant DNO before installation.

The combined A3-1/A3-2 form (installation document for type a power generating modules and integrated microgeneration and storage) confirms what you have installed to G99 Standards, following the installer’s written application. This document must be completed for every Type A power generating facility (e.g., energy storage system).

All communications with LR Renewables were helpful, to the point and professional as were the fitting team that fitted the equipment.
Their lead time was only just over a week.
The fitting team arrived, discussed our preferences with us, made noise and mess, cleared up mess, told us about the system and what they had done and left us with a system that is working very nicely indeed.

I was very pleased with the service provided. The firm kept us informed throughout the process, from ordering, to final installation. The battery was installed during snowy weather, and understandably the installers were delayed travelling from Essex to NE England, then were delayed on another job The office kept us informed throughout re the delays, and the installation eventually went smoothly. The installers were polite, and did a tidy job.

LR installed a retro fit battery and inverter to my existing solar system last year. Had an extra battery installed last week.
Great service on both visits. 2nd visit was less than a hour.
Luke set up my inverter remotely and batteries charge overnight during off peak tariff.
Would highly recommend these guys and would definitely use again but not sure if I need anything else. My Mrs would kill me if I did!!

Installation of new Luxpower Inverter and Greenlinx batteries was done by Luke and his team on the 23rd Jan 2023. Everything went well apart from a CT clamp being positioned incorrectly. This was however, quickly resolved and everything is now working well. E Mails were responded to quickly and Electrical Installation Cert has been provided. No complaints at all. I would use them again

I had an additional battery installed with my existing solar and battery install.

They were:
* Quick to respond to queries.
* Kept price even when price increased.
* Very good communication on delays due to snow and estimate timing of installers.

Only minor thing was installer was going to get someone to contact me about the reading from the app but did not. In the end, it sorted itself anyway.

I would use them again and recommend LR Renewables in SG1 area.

Unlike many firms, they happily display thire prices, i got a quote for a battery over the phone and fitted 7 days later, Stevie was polite and helpful and not pushy, the price was also 2k lower than 2 other firms. Would highly recommend.
