Sure check are absolutely awful
Sure check are absolutely awful, ignoring the issue completely, leaving me to pay 3-4k in repairs absolutely ridiculous. I showed the engine light at two miles and was told to drive the car back home and get told ive driven over the 250 when I live 300+ miles away from manheim, so what you wanted me to leave the car in the middle of the motorway? I was not able to get a recovery truck , I was told I need to get this which is stupid instead of actually addressing the fact that they didn’t mention an engine light on the surecheck report. Get no response till I call back and they say they respond within 24 hours which is a load of crap

Returning lease car
I was returning my Volvo after 5 years of leasing. Stephen Singh was the vehicle inspector. For something I was dreading it turned out to be a pleasant and easy process. He was very professional; ensuring I understood the process that would take place and what my rights were if I disagreed with his findings.
After his inspection, he talked me through his report, gave me chance to challenge a point without any negativity.
He made the whole experience positive and professional. So glad to have dealt with him!

A trustworthy company
I don't understand all the negative reviews. Such a professional company. Clear communication, punctual and explained any marks found on the car. You also get to sign whether you agree or not to any marks so it's open and transparent. By far the best independent car inspection company I've experienced so far.

Is there commission for finding faults?
My car was inspected by Damian Whelan. Reviews seem very polarised but unfortunately it seems as though I got one of the inspectors who was looking for faults as hard as possible. Awaiting the costs but completely disagreed with the findings that were verbally mentioned. Unfortunately you don't get to choose who picks up your car but something really needs to be done about regulation of these companies. Reminds me of the rent a car scandal

Collection
On 4/6/26, we had to collect two vans. Never having been to this location previously, I was unsure of the procedure. I needn't have worried, the young lady on reception help me with the paperwork. The gentleman in the key office was most helpful and the gentleman on the gate pointed out where our vans were located. Everyone was great.

I recently had my vehicle inspected by Steven and was very impressed with the service. Steven was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly throughout the process. He made what could have been a stressful experience feel straightforward and easy.
He was approachable, helpful, and happy to answer any questions I had. The inspection was carried out efficiently and professionally, and I felt treated with respect throughout.

Pleasant Experience
Booked an inspection & collection for my vehicle that was at the end of it's PCP agreement with Mobilize FS (Renault). Booking the collection was a bit tricky as I couldn't do it online, as I hadn't been provided the correct reference number, but phoned up and they managed it for me. Recieved a text the day before with a 2 hour timeslot for inspection & collection - NOTE these are 2 different people and arrive separately within the 2 hour window - inspector arrived first (didn't catch his name) and was polite, took c.20 mins to inspect my car. Found a scratch on the door that I was already aware of and fine with paying for. I appear to be missing my parcel shelf (I've never had one since I bought the car) so he noted it down that it was missing but disputed the charge for it on my behalf with the finance company. No other damage found or charged for. The collection tean arrived about an hour and a half later and drove off with the car. Altogether a pleasant experience - I was nervous reading the reviews on here but had nothing to worry about!

Steven Singh provided an excellent service. He phoned me the day before to let me know when he would be here, what to expect etc. On the morning of the inspection he phoned again to give me a more exact time which was really helpful. He was extremely professional, explaining what he was doing and looking for throughout the inspection

£13 k on the clock advised of cut in…
£13 k on the clock advised of cut in tyre £170 charge just had service and MOT not mentioned in the reports although puncture repair was on a different tyre.Next big item was a DENT that I had never noticed having driven the car for 3 years The car was going straight to auction so what are the charges for???The rep kept referring me to the lease Company Poor poor service scar was a tidy clean car tried to buy it myself but lease Company don’t sell them

I had a great experience and felt compelled to leave a review as I had previously read some of the existing reviews and was extremely worried.
Dave was in touch from the day before giving as much information as possible about arrival time etc. On the inspection day I received a courtesy call when he was nearby. Dave arrived with his colleague Wayne and were both lovely, professional, honest, and easy to chat to.
To those of you who are worried, don't be! If you've looked after your car and done your servicing etc, you have nothing to worry about!

Smooth collection process
In spite of the overall negative reviews, I had absolutely no problems with Manheim when they collected my end of lease Tesla. Ned was professional and friendly. He and a colleague spent about half an hour or so inspecting the car but found nothing that they were concerned about. I had the inspection report in my inbox within minutes and the car was taken on the day.

Follwing a message from him yesterday detailing the time of the inspection I prepped the car and made sure everything was ready for his arrival. Avoid Manheim!
I completely agree with the many negative reviews about Manheim. Our experience returning a vehicle through them was extremely poor and I want to warn others before they go through the same experience.
We had two inspectors on two separate occasions, one named Hassan and the other Derek. Their reports could not have been more different.
Hassan advised us to reject the collection, told us the wheels only needed refurbishment (not replacement), instructed us to replace a tyre that was already legal, and said SMART repairs were “not worthwhile”. We followed his guidance exactly.
When Derek arrived two weeks later, the inspection took over an hour during which he went over the car looking for the most minor marks, even ones that were clearly within the fair wear and tear guidelines. He then produced a completely contradictory report, claiming extensive damage and other issues that simply did not exist and were never mentioned in the first inspection.
What made the experience even worse was the attitude. Derek repeatedly insisted that “it’s Volvo’s fault, nothing to do with us”, refusing to take any responsibility for the contradictions between the two inspections. He also went out of his way to tell me that Manheim inspectors “aren’t on commission”, even though I hadn’t asked, which only made the situation feel more uncomfortable and questionable, given how motivated he seemed to be in finding anything he could mark down as damage.
The inconsistency between the two inspections, the misleading advice we were given, and the refusal to acknowledge any responsibility has now forced us to escalate the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Based on this experience, I would strongly advise avoiding Manheim. The process was inconsistent, misleading, and has caused significant financial and emotional stress.

We arranged to have my wife’s electric Corsa uplifted at the end of her 4 year PCP contract at the beginning of March. We were informed by Stellantis we would have to arrange it through Manheim. We tried to arrange to deliver the car to their Scottish depot but a slot wasn’t available for about a month so we had to pay almost £250 for the privilege of them coming to our house.
Their agent Mark turned up at 8am introduced himself and presented i.d seemed very pleasant. He explained that he was there to represent us and the financial company (this later turned out to be not the case).
We left him to carry out his inspection which took almost 45 minutes. I observed him looking over the car intently measuring the slightest blemish. In 50 years of owning and trading cars I have never witnessed such scrutiny. At the end of the inspection Mark proceeded to point out the faults he found that is when matters and his attitude changed. He started to gaslight me when I challenged some his findings by constantly saying calm down. I informed him I was calm but surely I had the right to question his findings. That’s when he said take it up with the finance company even when I pointed out they would act on his report.
To summarise we were very willing to accept two scuffed alloys but he charged us £75 for scuffing on the back bumper which could have been removed with Tcut. Also a rust mark on the underside of the boot lid that was less than half the size of your pinky nail(we were not aware of this until he highlighted it). I pointed out surely that was a manufacturer problem but he still charged us £123.
I highlighted the car was 4 years old and was in good condition with 14k mileage less than the contract and wasn’t a brand new car. This didn’t cut any ice with Mark who I suspect would find fault in a brand new car. He appeared to be on a mission to find faults.
As suspected when we spoked to Stellantis they would only knock off £100 from the final £343 bill saying we should have taken the car to a Vauxhall dealer to correct the minuscule rust mark under their guarantee. This was after I highlighted we were not aware of the rust problem.
This experience has put us off PCP financing especially if Manhein are involved.
