Ceanothus 'Blue Mound' Avis

Low growing evergreen ceanothus with neat, mounded habit Covered in rich blue flowers in spring Dark green glossy foliage year round Ideal for ground cover, banks and sunny borders Ceanothus ‘Blue Mound’ is a compact, spreading evergreen shrub valued for its dense habit and vibrant spring flowering. In late spring, the plant becomes smothered in rounded clusters of rich blue flowers, creating a bold carpet of colour that contrasts beautifully with the small, glossy dark green leaves. This low growing ceanothus is ideal for ground cover, sloping banks and the front of sunny borders, where it forms a neat, weed suppressing mound. ‘Blue Mound’ thrives in a sheltered, sunny position with free draining soil and is drought tolerant once established. Easy to care for and highly ornamental, it is a reliable choice for adding long lasting structure and seasonal colour to the garden.
