Eve is an expert and truly fantastic!

I initially started buying for an older husky and she LOVED this. Then I bought some extra bags for my partners staff x lab and he would always finish the bowl (despite not typically doing this with any other food!).
Most recently however, I got a puppy. I wanted to know more about the puppy packs so I emailed late one Sunday evening and got a response the very next day. Not only was she extremely informative but she gave a breakdown of so many different options. The information provided had specific links and she gave me plenty of options that I could use.
Truly fantastic and I’m over the moon with the service received!!

Consistently excellent service and quality

I’ve fed Millie’s to my dogs for many years and never been disappointed; my dogs have thrived. On contacting them today for a discussion about the needs of my new puppy I received an extremely thorough and helpful response of the type that I have become absolutely used to from this wonderful company.

Whilst we’ve used Millie’s dry food for…

Whilst we’ve used Millie’s dry food for years, we started mixing with the tinned food. Sometimes the tins were damaged on delivery so we didn’t use them, others appeared in tact. After the 3rd batch of food delivery our dogs started getting awful dihorrea and we assumed it was a stomach bug. We put them back onto the dry food and they were fine. I’ve emptied the cupboard in which we stored the tinned food and there’s a brown mark under the tins. It would appear even though the tins look in tact, they are somehow taking in air / leaking l.

Advice request on the best food for our dog

We asked a question via email about advice on which food to give our 7 year old Lab. A detailed and very helpful reply gave us the answers. We've fed him Millie Wolfheart food for about 6 years now and will continue to do so. Its not cheap but the best rarely is...

Millies Wolfheart

We have used Millies Wolfheart for the past 12 months for our JRT Billy - he loves it. The product is excellent as is the service. Sarah from the Nutrion Section has been extremely helpful with feeding advice for Billy- where else in this day and age do you get Customer Service that answers your email in 24 hours. We will continue to use Millies Wolfheart we love it.

Excellent product and service

Been using Millie's Wolheart Gundog Mix for a year now. My Golden Retriever loves it and is doing so well on it. Just about to start a new puppy on the Ranger Mix.
Delivery is quick even when using the free service and customer service is excellent. I've had so much good advice when I've needed it and you get to speak to people who know the product

I have been using Millie’s wolfheart…

I have been using Millie’s wolfheart for almost 4 years. Always arrives quickly and usually don’t have any issues with the quality but I have noticed recently some of the wet food is quite dry and the amount of jelly at the top of the tin has increased. With how much the price has increased over the years it’s not the quality I would expect.

Excellent

Excellent! We moved our very skinny rescue Springador onto Millie’s Wolfheart food and she’s THRIVING. Loves every meal and is now a perfect weight. We were so impressed that we recently put our Sprocker on the same (riverside mix), we have struggled with his gut health and tried what feels like every food possible but pleased to say he transitioned easier than I could have hoped for & no upset stomachs! A truly brilliant company with dogs welfare at the forefront.

Best decision to switch from Royal Canine to this!

I have been using Millies for around 8-10 months and it has been amazing for our Golden Retriever. Before we switched to Millies we used Royal Canine which we thought was the best of the best but always gave my girl runny poops! Since the switch each poop is normal, firm and no more smelly gas! Their team is also brilliant, really helpful advice. I had a small order issue lately where I was sent the wrong item but it was so quickly resolved and refunded the next day delivery and a little freebie was given! Really cannot recommend Millies enough.

Very helpful advice on skin issues

I used Millies many years ago and have tried it again for my Golden Retriever. I wanted advice on the best food to address the dog's long-term itchy skin and the prompt reply was very detailed and helpful and gave me three options to try. Very good service.

They are going to send you the wrong food

UPDATE: I was finally sent the correct food 3 days after the original order and was refunded the express delivery charge. What happened it’s still an huge inconvenience for me and I don’t appreciate how the situation was dealt by the sales department. However, I do think it’s good quality food. I hope something like that will never happen again and was a one time off.

I was recommended this brand by many Golden Retrievers owners and as I have to swap my puppy food I decided to buy this brand. I was advised the best mix for my dog and ordered a bag with Express Next day delivery paying an extra charge as needed it urgently. They sent me the wrong food. I call and there was no help whatsoever, not only I was told that they couldn’t do anything because the customer service line was closed (at 5.30pm?!?!) but also there is no way I’m going to receive the right food for another 2 days as DPD already collected. SHOCKING service and SHOCKING customer service. I explained the urgency of the situation and surely there is plenty of way they could’ve rectify their mistake sooner than 3 days. Poor customer service, I would not recommend them. I still don’t know if I’m even gonna receive my order or even a refund. Shame on this company

Thank you for review, unfortunately occasionally mistakes with packing do happen due to human error, our Customer services closes at 5pm, We did rectify this mistake immediately the next morning, by refunding your next day fee, sending the correct food with some complimentary treats added into your order and told you to keep or donate the incorrect bag of food, sorry for any inconvenience this may of caused you.

Impressed

I've decided to change my retired greyhound's food as her stools were quite soft on her current diet. A friend recommended Millie's wolfheart and I decided to message them for advice in picking up the right food, they responded promptly, very thorough and helpful. She's doing great now on the new food, stools are nice and firm, also great price/quality. Would definitely recommend!

My review really is a 4.5 star

My review really is a 4.5 star, however I cannot do that and they are better than a 4 star, so 5 stars it is.

A great company, very helpful, very effi and tutritional team, great quality food. My only complaint is delivery. Ideally and option between the freight and next day would be ideal, as sometimes the free can take a week with dispatching. A 2-3 option at a cheapet rate of the next day would be perfect.

Too expensive now

For many years I and two of my friends used to always buy our dog food from Millies, now we buy elsewhere. We all liked the quality but the price increases have been very large. It's now easier to get the same or better quality food elsewhere for a much better price. Although inflation has been an issue for all businesses and I would fully expect costs to increase to some degree. The cost of the same two 12kg bags I used to buy has now gone up 23% in a year. When I emailed asking why such a huge jump in price the response was essentially tough. 3 customers lost. All of us spending hundreds of pounds a year.

My Golden retrievers have been on Millies for 3 years now and love it. Firm poo and top quality food with no packing rubbish. Made in the UK and a good price for a good quality food.

Should have tried it sooner!

Millies has proved to be the dry food answer in this house. Daughter & I have five dogs between us with varied dietary requirements; two need low fat, two refuse all kibbles of any flavour, one loves any kibble but gets bad tummy regularly. ALL of them have continued to eat the big bags we bought after they ate the sample ones. We all know that purchase of the big bag means your hound suddenly refuses what they previously happily ate. Three Standard Poodles and two Lurcher are now, at last, on the same food. Hurrah!
They also eat all low fat tins when offered. Another result. So glad I finally tried Millies.
