We have been extremely impressed with this company and the results have surpassed our expectations. The team of two who came were highly skilled, professional, polite and very clean and tidy. Cracked window panel were replaced, rot to the frames was identified and made good, ageing putty removed and replaced. We have an old stable door to the back which had 1inch gaps which is now draftproof. Ditto the front door.
We can't thank all concerned enough. Worth every penny.

We have recently had a range of secondary glazing units installed by Mitchell and Dickinson and can thoroughly recommend the company. Everyone in the company was extremely professional and helpful from our first encounter with Dan, site survey by Keith, all the girls in the office and the installation team of Cameron and Jonah. Cameron and Jonah went above and beyond expectations in the quality of work and how well clean and tidy they left the house each day. We would would not hesitate to recommend Mitchell and Dickinson to other potential customers, many thanks to all concerned.

Mitchell & Dickenson are not cheap but for us the price was worth paying and we had excellent service throughout. The salesperson was knowledgeable and did not oversell his product, and the installation team were on time, very skilled and exceptionally tidy. The secondary glazing is virtually invisible and has made an immediate difference to the warmth of the house without in any way impacting on its character. There was a small issue with the quote and scope of works, but this was very quickly and amicably resolved.

A very pleasing result following the hard work put in by the Mitchell and Dickinson team. The new windows look good, have cut down considerably on condensation and have made the house so much warmer and quieter in a busy part of town. The front door, previously swollen by the rain and hard to open, was the first thing to be remedied and now opens with ease. Additional draft-proofing has also proved its worth. Very pleased with the skilled craftsmanship of Tim and his trainee. They were considerate and tidy, and it was a pleasure to have them around. The effectiveness of the insulation is impressive, and the windows look good, so we are entirely satisfied customers. Thanks also to the back office, who made preparation and planning for the work much easier. - Not cheap, but an investment worth making.

A month ago we had a range of windows in our listed property refurbished. Harry and Nico spent 10 days with us, and could not have made the experience easier. They set up their pop up workshop in the backyard - a very impressive set-up - worked on our windows during the day, and put everything back in place each evening. I admit I was a bit sceptical as to how they would make double glazing look both aesthetically pleasing and actually improve heat retention with our sash windows. Since then we have been experiencing a really cold snap and what a change! We have a log burner, and now our living room is so cosy that we frequently leave the door open. We close it when we go to bed, and in the morning the heat retention is noticeable. An absolute bonus with the draught excluding system is the reduction in any outside noise, as we are on a busy road. Thank you Harry and Nico for your professional work, and for making the whole experience such an enjoyable one.

Living in a Grade ll Georgian house with huge windows and high ceilings is a joy in Summer but a bit of an endurance in winter. We didn’t think we would find any solution until we found Mitchell & Dickinson. They are very popular it seems, so it was some months before we got an installation date but we are so glad we have done it. They put fixed panels on the front of the house (on the road and North facing so rarely opened) and integrated secondary glazing on the back. We have curved sashes and the team ended up finding quite a lot of rot we didn’t know was there. Nothing was too much trouble and no corner was cut. It is so reassuring to know the windows are now all in good repair. Tony, Chris, Matt and their team turned up early every day for over 5 weeks - they are professional craftsmen who undertake the work meticulously and discreetly as they can. They put plenty of protection over carpets and work areas and were unflaggingly enthusiastic and uncomplaining despite the 6 flights of stairs they were constantly running up and down! We have just had the work completed so time will tell but already we notice the rooms heat up quicker and the heat stays for longer. The road noise on the front is definitely reduced too. As for the secondary glazing itself, it is so very neatly applied and is barely noticeable - if anything, the big panels on the front frame the windows to make them look even more beautiful. It really is the perfect solution for a listed building and they are careful to use the correct materials in renovation - oak, lime mortar, breathable paint etc. Everything is to a very high standard, done by knowledgeable and skilled craftsmen. We are delighted with the results.

Cosyglazing has made a huge difference to how comfortable our house feels. We were looking for secondary glazing and were impressed with how unobtrusive this solution is. What we also got because we chose Mitchell & Dickinson was a full repair of our rotten frames and sills and draught-proofing of the windows. It was a four week project (which sounded a bit daunting tbh) and it was a pleasure to have Will, Phil and Tom in the house. We now have much better heat retention and the draught we used to feel in the evenings seems to have vanished.

We are beyond pleased with the result of the window repairs, draught proofing and secondary glazing. The house is warmer, drier and quieter and above all more cosy. Harry and Nico were here for almost 2 weeks, they turned up every morning with a smile and got straight on with their work. Definitely a great team -they just seemed to work away with the minimum of fuss and no problem was too great. Given that they were working in almost every room simultaneously the disruption was minimal. The resultant work is fantastic and we cannot recommend both the product and craftmanship highly enough - thank you Harry and Nico

Overall we are very pleased with the secondary-glazing panels fitted, and the administrative and installing service over almost twelve months.

The crafts people who prepared the items were with us for a week. They worked very hard and professionally throughout, ably answering all our questions as we went along, as well as frequently cleaning up as necessary.

Practical instruction was given on using the suction pads for removing and replacing the panels. On request, we were provided with an easier-to-use (for older customers) implement for this purpose

Daily re-fitting of existing sash windows each evening helped to maintain in-house temperatures during extremely cold nights (and days).

The quality of the panels and other fitments are first- class. The draft-proofing of our living room, with the sash window, was immediately evident, making it very cosy straight away. The only slight disappointment was that some condensation still exists in four mullion windows, but no-where as serious as it was.

Mitchell and Dickinson kept us well informed about an alteration to our excellent secondary glazing, were prompt and pleasant as ever and we are pleased with the look and function of the replacement locks.

Very helpful informed members of the team. The fitting was excellent, no mess and estimate for fitting was spot on. The glazing certainly makes an enormous differnce.Only small complaint was the changing of our date for fitting was near the fitting date and in view of the fact they like you around you blank out that time and then have to do lot of changing around to fit in. Saying that they did squeeze us in before Christmas.

Mitchell and Dickinson were polite at every stage.
Every window in this house is different and so they painstakingly over 10 days fitted, filled, sanded and painted a bead to each frame. The end result is hardly noticable but our warmth is. Great people and not a bother having them all around the house for 2 weeks.

Mitchell and Dickinson were efficient and communicated well through the pre installation phase. We have a listed house and were slightly concerned about the aesthetic of secondary glazing but having researched extensively we felt M&D had the best solution for us. On site Joe, Greg and Phil were excellent. Their attention to detail and no snag too small approach was exactly what we had hoped for. The resultant final installation was therefore better than we had hoped, so much so that very few people have noticed the glazing but quite a number have commented on the additional warmth in the house. We are very pleased with the restoration work and cozy glazing that was installed which has resolved significant condensation and had a marked improvement on heat retention and noise reduction. The cozy glazing is also very discrete and barely noticeable.

We did have significant difficulties in the early stages with a restoration quote that was significantly increased after the deposit had been paid and made us question whether we had made the wrong decision. The back office would benefit from a more consistent customer communication as this felt very disjointed with contact from multiple people especially given our concerns

However, the people who did the work were outstanding. Very respectful and polite whilst working in our home for 3 weeks. Flexible to our circumstances and clean and tidy. The standard of work was very high and we were very pleased

4 stars but this is 5+ for the installers, 4 stars for back office and 1 star for the sales person who undertook our initial quote

Our 100 year old listed building on the edge of Exmoor has lots of windows which give it a unique appearance. But in the winter months it was prone to rivers of condensation which caused mould and rotted some casements.
The work that M &D carrried out has got rid of the condensation in most rooms and reduced it by 95% in the rest. Yes the house feels warmer and there is good sound proofing. Drafts were not a major problem but that was because the windows were so tight they were difficult to open Now they all open very easily which is a joy. The secondary glazing enhances the appearance of the original herritage glass and it is unobtrusive.
The 3 craftsmen were excellent and really cared about the finish.
