I rarely write reviews, but City Sound have genuinely exceeded my expectations.

Living on Bell Street in Henley, I was looking to reduce noise from traffic, idling engines and late-night activity. The difference after installation has been significant. The street noise that was once a constant presence is now much quieter and far less intrusive.

From the initial survey through to installation, the team were professional, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. The fitters worked efficiently, kept everything tidy and completed the installation to a very high standard.

I had some concerns about the MDF build-out casings that were needed to achieve the best acoustic performance. I worried they might spoil the character of the windows, but the finished result is surprisingly subtle. Most people I’ve shown them to didn’t notice them until I pointed them out.

The secondary glazing has transformed the comfort of the flat while preserving the original sash windows and character of the property.

A very worthwhile investment and a company I’d happily recommend.

Secondary glazing has given us a great solution for improved insulation and damp-proofing at a late-Victorian house, crucially allowing us to retain our original windows and doors – and it all cost less than a third of the cheapest quote for replacement windows and doors from Everest!

Very professional company, good evaluation of the site and job requirements and expert installation with a very efficient team. In terms of the quality of the product, it is undeniably effective at reducing external noise. 6.4mm acoustic glass is a substantial dampening effect when a wide enough cavity is created on the insert. Yes, more expensive than buying the panes yourself but the quality and thickness of this glass is superior to any I found online and the installation was hassle free. 12 year guarantee on the finished product is a nice after care feature that compliments an already exemplary service. highly recommend.

Lovely looking secondary glazing that was fitted last week. It looks fabulous, unobtrusive and works well. The fitters were great as well. They explained how to operate the windows at the end and left no mess. Very professional

Great communication from the very first visit to measure up and explain the process. Very amenable to scheduling installation date too.
The fitters were polite and hardworking.
We feel more secure, with improved heat retention and better soundproofing. The last two issues will become more apparent over time.

Super communicative team and such efficiency with our secondary glazing. I believe from initial survey, to making templates, to actual installation the whole process took less than a month. We got secondary glazing throughout our flat and the finished product looks fantastic- you can’t even notice them they blend in so well. We have a few unusually shaped windows that another company wouldn’t even consider creating the glazing for, but it was no problem for CS. Installation was also great- the team took a whopping hour and a half for three very large windows and two smaller arched windows (SO speedy!) and took a lot of care to cover our floors and furniture with drop cloths they brought themselves, even vacuumed up afterwards. Sales team and surveyor were also a pleasure to work with. A fantastic experience overall.

From first contacting City Sounds in mid-November, we have received good advice, sensible priced quotations and a willingness to listen and respond to our comments and requirements providing revised quotations tailored to our needs.

Once had agreed to the quotations we were impressed by the short delivery time with installation being completed by a skilled team, who set to work with a will and completed the fitting of secondary glazing to two large bay windows and 5 inset units in a hallway in half a day.

The glazing been in place for over two weeks and we have noticed the expected reduction in outside sound plus the real benefit of stopping condensation forming one window on cold days.

The operating mechanism for the windows is simple and easy to use for access for ventilation and glass cleaning.

Excellent secondary glazing with high degree of sound proofing. It looks good and certainly works. I live on a major London Street and the noise from the street is MUCH better than with the old secondary glazing I had before. Efficient, polite and fast service. Courteous and efficient workmen with all the old glazing taken away and everything cleaned up. Couldn't be more pleased.
