Before you do any dog training you need to check out MK9plus and find out why it is so important to fulfil your dogs needs and how to go about doing it to get a well behaved and happy dog rather than trying to train what you see as good behaviour and ending up with a de-dogged not so happy dog.

There is a huge amount of information on the site but it’s also very practical . I like the training methods and fact it’s based on many studies. I thought I was quite experienced with dogs having had them all my life but I’m learning a lot !

Not only did this help me understand and navigate puppyhood/adolescence, but i also learned how to make life better for my seven year old. I now have a confident and happy beagle puppy that isn't driving me bonkers every second and a happy well-rested seven year old beagle. I have recommended MK9+ to all of the people in our original in-person obedience classes and many of them have said these videos made a huge difference!

The platform is very extensive, there's everything you need to know there and Max is a great dog trainer and teacher. Although I've had dogs growing up and have watched hundreds of dog training videos, Max shares a lot of authentic information that has really changed the lives of my two pups. I am extremely grateful to have come across his channel, I love it! Unlike other people out there, you can tell Max cares about you and your dog, which is what you want from a platform and an investment like this one.

So grateful to have found this online training from Max, only a few weeks after I adopted my Podenco Mar, his video’s really opened my eyes and helped me to not fall in some of the common “mistakes” such as going for even more walks when the dog is still super active. 🙏 personally I also really love the video’s on research and dog myths, super interesting! This guy is all about understanding your dog as a sentient being. If you have a desire to do that then Max has it all laid out. Not only that he is on had 24/7 for questions via email and will often respond within a couple of hours! The trainer we all need has finally landed. He truly wants to help us all. 🙏

We have a 12 weeks Westie pup. We prepared ourselves by watching Max's video's. And we have now an amazing time with our pup. What we appreciate is the honest, no nonsense approach of Max. He explains very clearly the needs of a dog, even breed specific. That was so helpful. It empowers us in the way we approach the education of the pup. And when we had a question about car training our pup, we got a very helpful training program by email. Max is doing such a great job for the canine world and for us dog owners to have the best possible four legged friend.
And the program is worth every penny.

I can’t recommend Max and Mk9Plus highly enough. Max explains everything so clearly, and every video watched, leaves you excited to continue learning and eager to watch the next! The topics I’ve watched have given me an incredible understanding of dog behaviour and how best to train. I’ve started noticing so much more when I’m out with my two — their interactions with other dogs, the subtle signals, and the things to look out for. It’s been eye-opening in the best possible way.
The training with my puppy has been going well too, and it’s been genuinely rewarding and so uplifting to see how she’s progressing. I sometimes laugh inside as to how easy it is when you know how. I feel so much more confident, more informed, and far better equipped to support my pups now. Mk9Plus is an absolute must-watch for anyone with dogs. The insight you gain is amazing and it has made all the difference to me and my dogs!

It's a lot, but it starts to make sense the more you learn. It's great to actually understand what's going on in you dog's head and body, to read them and communicate with them, rather than memorising directions that feel somewhat wrong. Here you always know the "why" and I love that about MK9Plus.

Absolutely brilliant platform. I signed up after watching a webinar. The webinar was good, but the website, once you have full access, is incredible, with a huge array of videos, covering almost every imaginable issue you might run into and better still, how to avoid those issues arising in the first place! All clearly labelled and categorised, and best of all - searchable. The videos themselves are each in-depth detailed explanations of the specific topic, with the science and the logic behind the method, but in easy to understand laymen’s terms, followed by clear step by step guidance, with real life demos and it really does work. Also, and this is probably the big USP - he is always looking for the root cause of any given issue and is absolutely committed to addressing that FIRST, rather than lead you off to fail with a ‘technique’ that will never work anyway… All delivered with a laid back, real life, down to earth approach and you can’t help but like this guy and enjoy the process. Max has a light hearted tone, but makes it very clear he knows what he’s talking about and it is to be taken seriously.
When I thought I’d come across an issue not covered, I emailed Max and the next working day, he came back to me with a response worth the subscription fee itself, for the time and effort it will save me. Highly recommended to anybody who has a dog. If you have a dog - sign up! It’s that simple.

Max delivers a huge amount of information providing excellent dog parent education.
I love listening to him and his candid personal approach. He’s a great guy who wants to help dogs be dogs and humans to recognise how they can work with their dog rather than against them. I highly recommend!!

I really like Max's style. Down to earth and explains the science and psychology behind the dogs behaviour. This helps me to learn about my dog and how I csn learn along wirh my dog. I absolutely love this style of teaching. The beginning 3 lesson series are jam packed with things I needed to know before I start trying to train my dog. Max just says it like it is. Now p u s s y footing around. Direct and clear. I went through so many trainers and most never once mentioned the science and psychology behind my dogs actions. Great e perfect so far. Very happy with my choice to work with Mac

Brilliant Advice
Really pleased I signed up to MK9 plus, so much information and Max really understands dogs and the different characteristics of the breeds. The personalised email responses are great too. Highly recommended.

We got a new puppy and we got many things wrong and even caused resource gaurding from following what others said to us that had dogs in the past. After watching Max’s videos we shifted our whole approach and the resource gaurding has almost gone.
Also operant conditioning has helped us to teach our spaniel lots of pointless tricks and she loves it 😀
