Lovely support team, good app for teens.

I had an issue completing a “challenge” in the app (the app creates a reward system for doing said “challenge” called “MBX” which can eventually be transferred to real spendable money) and was trouble shooting with a support member called “sprout” in the app but introduced themselves to me as “Sofia”. Although we weren't able to find a solution in the moment they were a great ally and sent me to a source with more knowledge on the situation. It’s still in the works of being resolved but i’m hopeful. The other things that have impacted my experience are; difficulty connecting my card to my phone, an issue with setting up my pin, and the app randomly logging me out. Other than that iv’e had a very good experience with Modak and recommend it to other teens and parents as a great source!

Lost cards won’t be sent again until 15 business days

It’s been 12 business days since I ordered cards for my kids and I know they’re lost in the mail since I get emails from USPS of everything I’m supposed to receive in the mail that day. I have told Modak that the cards are lost as usps told me they were supposed to be delivered last week and they never were and Modak insists I wait the full 15 business days before they’ll resend the cards. It’s very frustrating and doesn’t make sense when the cards are obviously lost in the mail.

Overall satisfied

We switched from Greenlignt after my soon could not access his funds on his Greenlight card. His card would always get declined and we could not pull money from an ATM. We have not had that issue with Modak, so with that we are satisfied. The only downfall is the fees I have every time I load my balance, since I have to use ApplePay because for some reason it won’t accept my bank account or card. Also, since I have multiple kids and am often depositing money to their accounts on the same day, my account gets flagged as “suspicious” every time. I can’t really be mad at them for having high security though, especially these days. I typically just chat with an agent or email them and they resolve it quickly, which is appreciated!

I had to reach out to customer service…

I had to reach out to customer service for a minor issue. We received my daughter’s card and it wasn’t the pattern she had requested. They were very fast to respond on the customer service chat, I had to leave the chat and order the new card after they cancelled it, I wish they could have done something on their end to expedite and verify this mistake won’t happen again. We’re still waiting for the new card, but excited to get started with it.

This is a great company to get a debit…

This is a great company to get a debit card with. They are always so helpful and fast to fix any issues. I would really recommend this to people who are looking to get a debit card, especially parents with teens.

Modak cards typically arrive within 7–10 business days, so if it's been 4 weeks, we definitely want to look deeper into this. There may have been a shipping issue or delay, and we want to make sure we get this resolved for you as soon as possible.
