Mont Adventure Equipment is an independent Australian company founded in Canberra in 1981. We're serious gear users and stand by our product. After years of frustrations with the poor quality of adventure clothing and equipment available, Monty had enough and made something better, something he could rely on. In 1978, using a borrowed sewing machine, he made himself a sleeping bag, down jacket and tent. Friends were impressed by his creations, and commissioned pieces. A reputation for quality gear quickly spread and in 1981 Mont Adventure Equipment was founded. While Mont has long since outgrown Monty's small unit in Canberra, Australia, he still directs the company and works closely with a passionate team on the design and testing of all Mont products. As dedicated adventurers ourselves, quality is never compromised just to save a few cents. To this day Mont Adventure Equipment is still privately owned, based in Canberra, fiercely independent and totally committed to better gear for the wild. Mont repaired my tent with good & timely customer service response. Mailed the tent inner at no cost & it was returned within 4 weeks. Yet to test drive it in the wilds but it looks like a strong and tidy repair

Best field work pants
Arrived on time and are brilliantly made. My last pair of these cargo pants lasted 10 years still going- the new ones are now my no. one dress uniform & the earlier ones my favourite field work gear. Long may they rein.

Fantastic warm, comfy jacket
Fantastic product. Lovely and comfortable and really warm (stormgrid fleece).
Mont staff are brilliant. Relaxed, helpful, take the time to explain, educate, and get the right product and fitting. They're not pushy and they are outdoors people themselves.
Mont is a classic example of why buying local is important, as we'd be screwed if this placed closed down

The gloves fit well and seem durable
The gloves fit well. They feel dextrous, look durable and I expect they will be great for via ferrata, and canyoning. The price was good too.
