Local vs Total (did you know?)
I have tried to make my first claim on this insurance policy and its on breakdown recovery but what the small print and they didn't tell me when I took up the policy was that the LOCAL breakdown doesn't mean from home as that is apparently called TOTAL breakdown. That's less than transparent and I am very unhappy about this.

However, full details of the breakdown cover, including the different levels of assistance available and any applicable exclusions, are provided for review before the policy is purchased. The level of breakdown cover selected is also chosen by the customer during the online application.

I ask for a NCB confirmation. They tell me I need to cancel my policy to get one. Then they charge me 75 pounds for the cancellation fee.
