Mountain High Avis 

Mtn High is a fantastic family friendly resort that is closer to the LA area than any other ski resort. You don’t need chains most of the time to get there.

This is the perfect SoCal location for beginners. The ski hill has two carpets and anyone with a lift ticket can use them. I taught my 3 kids in this area and then got them on the real lifts after only 2 trips. The 3,2,1 lessons to season pass deal is a win! Check it out and get out skiing.

Their website does not work well. Tried to call their phone, but no one ever answers or returns calls if you leave a message. My wife and I tried and thought we had purchased season passes last spring. The credit card never went through. It cost us an extra $100 over Labor Day to correct the problem. They need a person at a phone that can solve minor problems or a better website.

Mountain High is easy to get to and makes it the closest resort from popular metropolitan locations. Friendly staff, good service, and a great atmosphere. No matter the conditions, the park staff does their best to put up a good set up. They are open to suggestions, and change it up each year.

Well , you did a great job with sending emails in anticipation of the big 50% off sale and I received my season pass rather quickly. I would have like to learned more about the other parks aside from MH.

I love Mt High. 5 stars. Except I heard they might start charging for parking? Which if that is true I think it’s complete BS. Ticket sales and season pass holders should NOT need to pay to park, I think there will be a lot of unhappy people. However if it is not true disregard the previous statement.

Nice resort that is close by.
The new pay for parking areas are not welcome though.

I love this resort. There are so many trail options and the variety is great. The staff are super friendly and this is my go to snow resort.

Easy, no issues

I rate them a 5 star due to two key reasons..(1) Ease to go the hill (the fact it is freeway close) and that the roads are maintained and opened even during the heaviest of storms; and (2) there is night skiing/boarding...this allows me to hit the hill even for a few hours after a long day of work. Allows for opportunity to enjoy the limited amount of snow we receive here in SoCal.

I love the fact that it is so close. Only downside has to be the parking

This is a great place to come ski! It’s gets crowded sometimes, but it’s worth it!

Great resort! Plenty of park features for intermediate riders who are looking to progress their skills in the park.

It's close to home and the skiing is good. Mt High does a great job keeping the snow levels up and the runs groomed. In the afternoon when the snow gets softer the snowboarders make grooves and trenches making it a lot more work to get down the hill.

Looooove Mountain High, always a fun selection of terrain features that they constantly change which is nice. Smaller mountain, but they make it work!

Very good experience, easy and convenient. Staff is always helpful. Kids had lessons and they love them.

Staff is extremely disorganized, I consistently get completely different answers from staff about prices and policies,

Ski School does not seem to have group lessons unless you also rent equipment, which makes no sense if you own your own.

Takes way longer to do any transactions than it should.

Plus side they do a ok job with the slopes and its close.
and the Points Ticket is a nice idea for short days...

But I cannot get a clear answer as to what is included in certain ticket packages and the whole Buy it online when there is no one on the line other than me really seems like they don;t like their skiers.

I would gladly give a 4-star rating if there was a consistent IPA (beer) option inside Big Pines Base Lodge (either in the cooler with the other canned beer or on tap at The Fix).

Traditionally, IPAs have only been available at the Foggy Goggle* but, unfortunately, they proved highly unreliable this year when it came to beer (as an outdoor bar at a ski resort, one might reasonably assume that they would've figured out how to keep the "kegs from freezing up" by now but, no, it doesn't appear as though they have).

*the Bullwheel might also have an IPA option or two but, frankly, I'd rather go out to my car than hike up there just for a beer.

p.s., this is my one and only gripe, and it shouldn't overshadow everything that I do like about Mountain High. For instance, the women over at the Customer Service shed are great! Really friendly and helpful (5 stars)!

It was another great experience at Mt. High. Only downside was some guy thought it was ok to remain in the landing path of a ramp, which caused me to crash land into his back. As a result I injured my groin.

Mh always goes out of their way to make sure your riding experience is the best possible. The staff is always on top of fixing all the different park features and they keep the runs groomed. They also have great instructor’s that teach you how to Ski & Snowboard if you need some riding tips or help your young ones learn. Also the hook ups with their power alliance with other resorts is AWESOME 😎
