Well, i have started an Enhanced DBS process with them at the end of march and 1 month later after chasing them over and over thay have said they can’t process because they don’t do for private hire, fair enough but they have should of told me straight away not letting me chase and chase and after they said will process a full refound….week into it, nothing happened. Definitely not recommend
I applied for Enhanced DBS but apart from first email confirming my application filled lv heard nothing for weeks till emailed them asking where my DBS is at they replied stating they emailed me regarding additional documents needed and they have not processed anything as some of my documents supplied were not good enough.. Well.. l have never heard anything from them as l keep track of emails and none from this company asking me for anything to supply or change.. l then got my enhanced DBS through my employer so l asked for refund as l clearly don't need them to process anything anymore and since then l have been completely ignored.. they do not provide service so should have the decency to refund.. bunch of cowboys..🤦🤦😕
MyVetting.com processed my Enhanced DBS request efficiently, with only a couple days turn around. My certificate has arrived today in around 1.5 weeks from submitting my application through their platform.
Communication was fairly prompt (though from varying emails) and all of my questions were answered in a professional manner. As far as I can tell, they have handled my personal documents securely.
I've definitely had an overall positive experience and can recommend this service.
It might be helpful for others to know that MyVetting.com falls under the larger umbrella company, Acorn Direct, which is registered with the government to run DBS checks.

The company refused to vet me but did vet my colleague who had the same job description and work type.
Seems to be a scam as when they refund your money they take a £20 handling fee.
Apparently someone like me, that visits schools and places with children and vulnerable adults, often unaccompanied, does not require a DBS check.

For clarity, your colleague’s application was processed efficiently and without issue. You acknowledged this yourself in correspondence. There was no failure of service on our part.
Your application was declined for one reason only: the role description you submitted does not meet the statutory eligibility criteria for a Standard or Enhanced DBS check.
DBS eligibility is set by law, not by provider discretion. As a regulated umbrella body, we are required to apply those rules strictly. We cannot submit applications that do not fall within the prescribed categories, regardless of sector, seniority, or comparison with another individual.
A Standard or Enhanced check is not something a person can simply request because it feels appropriate. The role must be legally entitled to that level of disclosure. Based on the duties you described, it was not.
We explained this in detail and offered three options: proceed with a Basic check, hold funds as credit, or receive a refund subject to the published administration fee. That is consistent with our terms and applied equally to all applicants. In practice, we waive administration fees in the vast majority of cases and only apply them where our support team has had to invest substantial time managing the application; in your case this extended to over a dozen emails and calls.
There was no scam, no withholding of service, and no inconsistency in processing. The only issue was statutory eligibility.
