Brilliant, independent 4x4 garage
The team at Newbury 4x4 were all absolutely brilliant when dealing with my Land Rover Defender. It was super easy to get my vehicle recovered to them following an engine fire and they understood that a Defender is like part of your family! The communication I received was first class and everything was explained in detail so there weren’t any hidden, unexpected extra costs. The cost of the repair was less than I had feared and the car now drives like new.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them to anyone with a 4x4.

I cannot see a reason to take my Freelander elsewhere, LR are not always the cheapest vehicles to maintain but I think I get my money’s worth from Newbury 4x4.

Can't recommend these guys enough
Can't recommend these guys enough. My Dad has been using them for many years on various Discovery's. I've since got the Land Rover bug and have trusted them with mine. Always happy to give proper honest advice, rather than just take your money. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Have used these guys for 20+ years, first in Newbury for my Series 2a and now in Thatcham for my TD5 Defender. Have always been pleased with their very friendly, honest and competent service.

Been using Newbury 4x4 since the late 90's when I had a P reg Discovery.. They were in Newbury then. Nice to find many familiar faces still with them. Always helpful and honest about what they do by means of servicing our vehicle. When I had other brands of car, i went to the brand's local dealer. As soon as I bought my new 2019 Discovery 5 , I returned to Newbury 4x4. No regrets.

Exceptional Service
As ever the team at Newbury 4x4 were fantastic, they really know their stuff and nothing, it seems is too tough for them! I have used them for well over 20 years and have NEVER had a less than excellent experience, couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Work carried out failed within 6months
Work carried out failed within 6months, investigation of fix was going to be charged for. excuses made about corrosion. Why was fix made taking 4weeks and costing £1500 could avoided fixing the Range Rover. Beware this garage not giving you the option not to fix a problem so that you also have to return

I'm sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with the service provided & I would be happy to discuss in person with you your issues, if so please call me on 01635 32028 & ask for Jason. Just to clarify your vehicle was dropped off as a breakdown on 25/07/23 & repaired on 31/08/23 as the parts required were on back order with JLR. After we had removed the leaking pipes we advised you that we had found further issues with corrosion in the component that the pipes fit into, Because this part was so costly we gave you the option of fitting the new pipes with or without the second component to see if it would would be ok or not. After completing the work & road testing we found no more leaking. But we did pre warn you on your invoice about the additional corrosion & that it could cause a leak at some point.
You called us late April this year to say there was a leaked picked up on your MOT test & we booked you in for 07/05/24 for investigation (which you did not turn up for). You may of misunderstood us regarding charging you for diagnosing, as what we said was, you would only get charged if it was not related to the original repair. If however it was leaking from the corroded component we advised or a different component then you would get charged. If however it's deemed to be our fault we would repair it FOC.

Professional, personable, friendly, honest, organised…. The list of superlatives could go on. I’ve been using Newbury 4x4 for my Defender since buying it and I would not consider anywhere else to look after it! Newbury 4x4 are one of those garages that you just feel completely looked after from start to finish. Their prices are always fair and the service is second to none! Why go anywhere else? I think it’s worth buying a 4x4 just to use these guys!!

Car fixed same day
My car developed an issue on the way to work. As I was close by Newbury 4x4, I dropped it round for inspection. They identified the problem, ordered the part and found time to fix it for me the same day!
Always excellent service at Newbury 4x4!
