Promised big for a month on phone calls…
Promised big for a month on phone calls back and forth with Mark Edwards. I told him the size of my storage unit and sent a video of my belongings. I said the most important thing in my move is to agree on a price, and please promise me you won't change it. I would rather pay a higher estimate than be charged more on the day of the move. He said, "Don't worry, as long as you don't have a piano in your unit, I can guarantee the price of $ 2,800.
Day of pick up, Josue said I would have to pay $4,200
So he left 10 % of my belongings behind. Most of the items were on the contract. Forcing me to pay another month's rent or donate my belongings.
Reached out to Mark Edwards the following day, and he blocked my call. Then he had his co-worker Katie call, and she put me on hold, then hung up, and she blocked me. I called Nicole in Customer Service 7 times. No phone call was ever returned. 3 weeks later, the delivery company wanted to charge me an additional $2,100 to receive my belongings. I got an attorney involved, and they were not able to get to speak with anyone from The Next Stop Relocation. The numbers on the website for the owners of the company are not theirs. The gentleman who has that number was kind enough to answer my call and say he has received numerous amounts of calls and it's not George's number.
I was so stressed out about this situation that I informed Josue and the dispatcher at the third company involved in the move that I would report them to the Greenwich Police station.
Fortunately, I got a wonderful man on the phone, and they agree to deliver my belongings and take the loss and just charge me the remaining bill from the $2,800.
Dealing with this company was a nightmare.
Please do your research before hiring them.
Just as I was writing a review, I received a call from someone in NYC who has some of my boxes. All my tax receipts and sons baseball card collection.
Lying thieves, avoid at all costs!
These guys all sounded good on paper, but Josh was an absolute liar. He quoted one price, said they charge by the sq. ft., then once they showed up at the new house, decided they now charge by weight and jacked the price up by $3,000. Then they wouldn't unload my items until I paid. That, and they broke a ton of items during the move. Absolutely avoid these guys at all costs! Their own staff even warned us they would try to rip us off, and did! Do not go near these guys or do any business with them unless you want to pay extra for breaking half of the items in your house. Stay very far away!
Avoid like the Plague
TL;DR - I HIGHLY recommend steering clear of this company. All posted reviews on Facebook read nearly the exact same, implying bot farming and review buying (which my $4,000 probably goes to). If you sort by "lowest reviews" or "Does not recommend" the exact same issues are repeatedly brought up, yet are buried under the 800+ paid reviews.
These cats claim to be veteran owned/operated and experts at moving military peeps. The only thing that makes me believe this is the sheer incompetence and migraine-inducing lack of communication both internally and out to the customer. If you have ever dealt with CIF or Finance, circa 2011-2017, you will know the exact feelings I am describing. Story follows:
Initial quote was $10,000 for a move from Washington to Alaska with up to 60 days of storage included. Two days before the movers arrived, the local contracted moving company called and said they could not do the move (~12,000 lbs) for $10,000 ($8/cu ft) and the cost would instead be closer to $19,000, in addition to only providing 30 days of storage. After repeated calls to the initial counselor, Mark Edward, his line was eventually unreachable. Ahmed then reached out and made it sound like the issue would be resolved. A new contract was sent over and another employee, Katie, stated the local moving company would "no longer be working with them."
The new contract stated a price increase to $10/cu ft and a lower weight assessment, leading to the same price but lower volume. Supposedly a "software issue" caused this problem. I am now less than 4 days from the time I have to vacate my house to start driving to Alaska, and less than 48 hours from the scheduled time for movers, which I have zero faith will even be here. After repeated back and forth communication with Ahmed and Katie (Mark's line was “unable to be reached from my area”), we finally landed with Mo. I told Mo that we are no longer interested in any issues or fixes, just that we want the deposit back to now pay the other company who will be here, with no excuses. Mo recommends we dispute the charge as it will get our funds back to us quicker. He then calls back telling me he has locked in a better deal than the $10/cu ft. Again, the employees are willfully ignorant of my repeatedly expressed desires to move on from their company.
I finally land with Alex in billing, yet another person I have never spoken to prior, nor even knew existed. Alex again tells me that a software issue is what caused this issue and that they have fixed it and movers are still set to dispatch tomorrow. Again, I tell Alex I am not interested in continuing with this broker and to cancel any and all reservations they claim to have. As of this writing, I am still out the $4,000 deposit, and the only service provided was an overwhelming sense of frustration and vitriolic anger, equivalent to getting spawn camped on Freight in CoD: MW 2019.
I am pursuing legal consult in consumer law for recourse against this company. It is entirely a matter of principle at this point, and this company should be outed for exactly what they are: *Useless* and Predatory, like the Epstein Client List.
DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE
I recently had a very unfortunate experience with Next Relocation that I feel compelled to share. The entire process was riddled with inefficiency and unprofessionalism that I would not recommend to anyone.
Firstly, the pickup took an astonishing 7 hours, which is far longer than expected. The crew consisted of two movers, one of whom was entirely inexperienced. This caused significant delays and confusion throughout the move. The main mover had to redo the ledger twice due to inaccuracies, highlighting a lack of attention to detail and professionalism.
Additionally, I noticed troubling practices during the process. It seemed that they were adding charges for items that were not present, and I had to monitor their actions closely to ensure fair treatment. I was particularly concerned when they incorrectly numbered items and there were inconsistencies in their calculations.
Furthermore, during the disassembly of my furniture, crucial pieces such as screws were not returned, which made reassembly impossible. I also received damaged items, including a severely broken entertainment center.
On the delivery day, I faced an unnecessary threat concerning additional charges. I was informed that unless I paid another $400, my belongings would be placed in storage. This is completely unacceptable behavior. Thankfully, after involving the brokerage company that facilitated the move, I was able to clarify the situation.
Lastly, I want to emphasize that charging a 5% fee for credit card transactions is not legal and adds to the overall unprofessional nature of this company.
In summary, my experience with Next Relocation was a complete nightmare. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company to avoid emotional and financial distress.
IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!
IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!
I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with Next Stop Relocation. I went with them because they claimed be Veteran owed , but then turned around to scam a a Veteran , from the beginning, communication was poor and misleading.
I was originally quoted $2,300 to move the contents of a 10x25 storage unit and provided a full, accurate inventory ahead of time. However, when the movers arrived, I was told the quote only covered a couch, a dresser, and a mattress — which made no sense based on what I had already shared.
My belongings were then transferred between third-party moving companies twice without clear communication, creating confusion and a complete lack of accountability. Paying with PayPal, and Zelle to 3 different moving companies. I have proof.
When I tried to resolve the situation, customer service was incredibly unprofessional. Representatives were rude, dismissive, and even disconnected calls instead of helping. Every attempt to reach a supervisor or manager led nowhere.
To make matters worse, I was told I would need to pay an additional $1,300 just to move the rest of my belongings — after already being quoted for the full job. We decline, turned around and had to rent a Uhual to get the rest of our items out of our storage unit in a completely different state to where we currently live 18 hrs away!
Due to this experience, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
This experience was disorganized, misleading, and stressful from start to finish. Poor communication, hidden costs, and unprofessional behavior make this a company I would strongly advise others to avoid.
CLEAR and COST EFFECTIVE
Mark Edwards was patient, clear and efficient in all aspects. Most importantly, the price was reasonable and we are veterans as well. He applied a Veteran's discount. Confirmation email was sent and everything handled clean and simple.
Doubled my quote, lost items, broken items...
My quote was doubled once the movers had my stuff on the truck. My contract was sold to another company who delayed delivery, lost items, broke items, and could not set up items that they had dismantled on pick up. I spent over $11,000 or a horrible moving experience. I chose this company because I wanted to work with a veteran owned company and was severely disappointed.
Question answered
I am a question person and Angel was very patient with me. Answered all of the questions. We spoke off and on for about 3 months before my move. Easy to work with. Very fair price. Thank you.
FRAUDULENT!!! Not Trustworthy!! Management is weak and fork Tongued!!
This company started out, sounding very professional. But they are not. I had a signed agreement and they did not fulfill their end of the contract. I even paid extra for the new estimate. And they would not honor the signed agreement. They gave me the runaround, and then I ended up getting voicemail after voice mail.
When the mover arrived, he arrived by himself, and the truck sat there for four hours before the loaders got there. I even have a photo of the loader taking a nap in the shade next to the truck..when the other three loaders arrived,They worked for three hours and then they left with still half of my household goods in my garage. I paid for a two truck load out and four loaders. I received one truck.
They tried to gouge me when the driver showed up for an additional $4800 on top of My already signed agreement.
They are fraudulent, and I am a decorated veteran and shame on them as they claim to be veteran friendly.
They still owe me another load out, free storage for two months and delivery.
If they don’t resolve this in the next couple of days, I will file a civil lawsuit and let every veteran associated company in Texas and Florida know what a disgrace this company was. Extremely unprofessional.
I’m sure Governor Abbott and DeSantos would love to hear about a company ripping off Veterans.
Avoid at all costs
We chose Next Stop Relocation specifically because they market themselves as a veteran-owned company. As someone who retired from the Air Force after 24 years, supporting veteran businesses is something I intentionally try to do. Unfortunately, this experience was exactly the type of dishonest and unprofessional behavior the moving industry is notorious for.
Before booking, we were quoted $2,750 flat rate for a move from Fort Lauderdale to Panama City based on our limited inventory list. We were very thorough and confirmed multiple times that the quote included all fuel, tolls, and up to 30 days of storage if needed since we knew the company wouldn't be able to deliver same day given the 9 hour drive. Since it was to be delivered at the companies convenience they say the 30 days is typical and always included. We were reassured with the flat rate we would not have any extra surprise fees. They said the only additional fees we may see would be at $3.50 per item/box.
When the movers arrived, everything suddenly changed.
Once our belongings were already packed and loaded, we were presented with a new price of $3,500, claiming additional fuel and destination charges ontop of the original ones even though destination never changed. After over an hour of arguing we were able to get it reduced to $3,200, but by that point our belongings were already on the truck and we were essentially forced to proceed.
It only got worse from there.
We were never given a delivery date or delivery window before the truck left with all of our belongings.
Then communication completely disappeared.
After the contract is signed, Next Stop Relocation miraculously becomes impossible to reach. Calls, texts, and voicemails from the phone numbers they have on file go unanswered. Messages are ignored. We tried to reach out via email and all the other ways.
Interestingly, if you call them from a different phone number, they will answer immediately — because they assume it’s a new customer they can sell to.
That alone tells you everything you need to know.
We finally got ahold of someone over a week later, they claimed we couldn't talk to owner or supervisor as they do not talk on the phone. Only email- but the email they gave us doesn't even exist.
At one point we were directed to Meta Van Lines (the company they sent for us) where a woman on the phone was extremely condescending and actually yelled at us. Completely unprofessional.
At this point we still don’t even know where our belongings are, and now we’re being told we owe an additional $350 storage fee, even though they are the ones holding our things against our wishes. And again, we were repeatedly told 30 days of storage was standard and included in the quote.
To make it even more ridiculous, the delivery is now going back to the exact same location where the items were picked up (house closing fell through) which should cost LESS than driving nine hours across the state...but somehow for a local move, and them holding our items hostage it has become a more expensive nightmare. I never expected compensation or discount but I did expect accountability and that is not the case.
This company operates exactly like the moving industry scams you read about:
• Quote low to get the contract signed
• Hand you off to another company
• Change pricing once your belongings are already loaded
• Stop answering the phone once they’ve collected their fee
They are not the movers — they are simply a broker that sells your move to whoever will take it and then disappears when problems arise.
Do yourself a favor and avoid Next Stop Relocation entirely. If you value your belongings, your time, and your sanity, book directly with a reputable moving company instead of a brokerage that cuts communication the moment they get paid.
Extremely disappointing experience.
Predatory
Predatory, Deceptive, and Deliberately Misleading — Stay Far Away from Next Stop Relocation
Our experience with Next Stop Relocation was not just disappointing — it was blatantly deceptive and financially predatory from start to finish.
The sales representative, Hugo, outright misrepresented himself as the manager who would personally oversee our move. That was a lie. The moment the contract was signed, he vanished. Before that, however, he went to great lengths to earn our trust — sending links to negative reviews of other moving companies and claiming he had personally stepped in to “rescue” customers from dishonest movers who bait-and-switched them.
In reality, that is exactly what he and this company did to us.
We were quoted $2,700.00. Hugo repeatedly and emphatically stated:
“The quote is the quote. It will not change.”
He assured us packing and packing materials were included. He guaranteed there would be no surprise fees.
Every one of those assurances proved false.
When the truck arrived, the upcharges began immediately:
$365.00 added for packing materials that we were explicitly told were included.
$2,200.00 added for “extra space” and additional fuel — space that was never measured in front of us and fuel costs that were never disclosed during the estimate.
The crew even attempted to take our already packed boxes, place them into their own boxes, and charge us for that as well.
Later, an additional $375.00 was added for “wait time” and a supposed “greater than 75-foot carry distance” — again, never measured, never documented, simply declared.
Our $2,700.00 quote ballooned by nearly $3,000.00 in fabricated and arbitrary charges.
The delivery process was just as unethical. At 11:30 AM, we received a call saying they would arrive at 6:30 PM that same day, despite the contract clearly requiring 24 hours’ notice before delivery. When we stated we would not be available until 7:30 AM the following morning, they proceeded anyway. When the storage facility experienced mechanical difficulty with the loading dock (a two-hour delay completely outside of our control), they seized the opportunity to impose wait-time fees — even though they themselves had violated the required 24-hour notice.
Every stage of this move felt calculated:
Promise a low, reassuring quote.
Claim management oversight to build trust.
Disappear once the deposit is secured.
Inflate the bill at pickup and delivery when customers have no practical ability to refuse.
This was not a misunderstanding. This was not poor communication. This was a systematic bait-and-switch operation.
The irony is overwhelming: Hugo warned us about dishonest moving companies — while operating exactly like the ones he criticized.
If you are considering Next Stop Relocation, understand this clearly: the number they quote you is meaningless. The real price comes later, under pressure, when your belongings are already on their truck.
Avoid this company unless you are prepared for surprise charges, broken promises, and zero accountability.
Price TRIPLED since initial quote
Price TRIPLED since initial quote. Truck broke down three times delaying delivery. AVOID
Small things matter too!
What made my experience great is the way that they handled and cared my belongings and had an amazing fast paced with moving things. The company does well with communication. I’m someone that’s very big on communication and they made sure I knew everything that was going on from pick up to drop off. I am very pleased with my move from Indiana to Texas. Mr. Eddy was great at answering all my questions and concerns. Keep up the good job guys.
Very friendly and courteous
Very friendly and courteous! Answered all my questions and made suggestions to help me!
The booking had it's good points
The booking had it good points. I didn't think k it appropriate to have an estimate increased by more that 50% due to viewing pics on items that had already been included in the initial estimate.
Additional charges ($200+) for bulky items is the equivalent of being charged twice for the same item.
I would have looked elsewhere, or requested differently had i known the shipment was going to be stored prior to delivery.

This company’s rep Alex Connors is a liar and thief. I gave the Alex a deposit but I could not do the move due to an unforeseen cost that came up. They started bad mouthing me and they took the deposit and then said they weren’t going to help me after I asked him if he was a scammer. This company is a fraudulent company do not use this company if you want to do business with an honest company they are rotten and so was the lady I spoke to the next day. No where during the course of ANY conversation did he tell me that the deposit was not refundable only after I told him that I couldn’t do the move did he start back peddling. Next stop if you keep on with the defamation of my name at least get your story straight first then at least be respectful and last do not lie about me and say I said so many horrible things. I’m gonna sue you for defamation of character and I’m gonna take you to court for threatening me and stealing my money.
