Not happy.

Not happy.
Ordered a 900Mb/s up/down Cityfibre installation and the confirmation email states that my upload speed will be 100Mb/s.

Not a problem I thought, so I immediately rang up and cancelled explaining this wasn’t what was offered when I ordered.
Problem is, they still sent the router and still haven’t cancelled the installation, making it impossible for me to order elsewhere.
Having to pay for the return of the router irks me as well, when all of this is down to their advertising.

Edit: Thankyou for the quick response but you would’ve still had a sale if that information was forthcoming when I phoned to cancel, citing the upload speed as the reason.
If you could just cancel the account/installation please, I’ve returned the router today.

Hi Steven. The welcome email you have received is incorrect. At the moment, all our CityFibre broadband circuits are symmetrical in your case 900up and 900 down). We are looking at introducing a cheaper asymmetrical service but this hasn't been launched yet. I will find out why the comms have been sent incorrectly but rest assured the service is 900 up and down.

Customer Service Wait Time

I was thinking of moving to this company and was impressed by their Trustpilot rating.
I read recent reviews and saw that they have now outsourced their support and billing to Home Telecom.
Rather than join the company and then find the service is not as expected I called the support number.
After waiting 15 minutes being told my call is important I disconnected the call and will now look elsewhere

Very happy with the service

Very happy with the service!

Haven't had any dropouts, or any issue at all so far. I'm hard wired into the router and easily getting 900+ mb. Also includes a static IP (at least when I signed up!)

Everything has been spot on.

I have only removed a star due to the fact I setup a direct debit when I initially made the account- but it seems like it's not actually being billed. So far I've had to pay the payments manually, I have emailed the parent company (home telecom) to see why it's not being automated via GoCardless but haven't had a reply yet - this is the only reason it's not 5* due to it being a bit of a PITA

No One Internet USED to be the best ISP…

No One Internet USED to be the best ISP out there and it really pains me to write this.

They're a small independent company (and so weren't always available 24/7) but if you needed something they were always willing to help and made sure it got fixed. I remember receiving a personal apology email from the boss of the company when my internet went down one night (I was asleep and didn't even notice!).

If I needed to talk to somebody, then within minutes of ringing their support line you would be speaking to somebody helpful and knowledgeable.

Unfortunately, they have now outsourced their support and billing to Home Telecom, who are an absolute joke.

Firstly, Home Telecom's support hours don't include Saturday afternoons or Sundays, so when I received a letter on Saturday at 13:00 for 'non-payment of my bill', I couldn't talk to anybody until Monday.

After multiple attempts to talk to somebody at Home Telecom and waiting nearly an hour on hold on my final try, I managed to speak to a human.

Here is when the fun started...

My direct debit, although active (and working fine until May) could not be billed by Home Telecom. Did they tell me this? No. The first I know of it is a letter and an email from their 'Credit Control Team' about an overdue payment of £36.99 at the end of June. I would also have to pay the next payment of £37.00 which according to their system = £74.00.

Yes, that's right, their billing system can't handle pennies properly, so somehow 36.99 + 37.00 = 74.00, which is what I was told I had to pay by their credit control team. Despite my contract being for £36.99 a month.

I set up another direct debit with them and asked about the overdue balance, I was told "don't worry about that, we'll take it in August when you're billed next" which is well after the due date and to which their letter kindly states that they will "suspend my service and apply additional charges" if not settled before.

I was then told that I could pay by card to settle the outstanding amount, but as I didn't have my card on me I will have to call back and wait another hour on hold, simply because their entire system is a joke. I obviously can't use their automated payment solutions because their system can't add up the numbers properly!

Also, none of this is Home Telecom's fault (of course), it is either No One's fault or Go Cardless' fault, but nothing to do with Home Telecom, a company whose calculator can't add up pennies.

So, unless No One drop Home Telecom and go back to being the excellent company that they were, I can only say 'Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!'.

Outstanding Customer Service

Brilliant and straightforward customer service. A dedicated and knowledgeable Support Engineer responded to all the questions quickly and accurately. He kept the ticket open until all of the issues were resolved.

All round an excellent Internet Service Provider.
I think I had only one issue over the past 12 months and they sorted it within an hour.
My speed averages between 500-750 Down and Up which I am more than happy with based on our household usage.
Their customer support is also very good, receiving prompt response from a human which makes any interaction less stressful, rather than via a bot.

I was searching for an internet…

I was searching for an internet provider for ages and I just couldn't find the one that suits me best.

I work in Order Management myself for Internet installations so I know I had to be sure to get the best ISP. I then came across No-one internet via City Fibre and decided to go for it.

Upon researching their history and their reviews, they seemed to be the best compared to others; and they made the transfer from my current provider to theirs effortlessly.

Lisa kept me up to date throughout and made sure the order went through, so massive shout to her as not only that, but she looked after me through and through answering all my queries I had.

The only unfortunately thing is and the nitpick here would be is the router, as it arrived late. However, when contacting them about this (Lisa specifically as I always got through to her) She was completely honest and didn't lie she advised the router basically wasn't received by them to send out.

So Lisa then went on to say she will get my current router configured to work with their network until the router arrives as I work from home and then Lisa passed me to Ben who talked me through it step by step before it went live to input the settings for the service so the internet didn't go off until their router arrived.

I mean I was skeptical about this, but when applying what Ben said and the settings in my current router interface, I had a connection immediately so I could work from home until No One's router came through.

I have worked in customer service for 7 years plus and the internet order management side for 2 and to see this level of customer service and helpful advice as well as updates throughout is just amazing.

Absolutely star Lisa and Ben Thank You hopefully this feedback and compliments can be passed on.

I can't wait to receive the official router from No-one and be a customer :)

I've only got good things to say

I've only got good things to say about No one.

Since installation I've had no notable issues at all. I opted in to the VoIP package too and no issues there either.

Any minor questions or problems I did have were answered promptly by the team, special thanks to Ben who's been very helpful and fast with any information that I request or questions I have.

Speeds and ping are great and no downtime at all.

CGNAT is used for handing out IP addresses which 99% or people will have no issues with. For the rare cases where you need a static address, they can provide one to you. I will most likely need to add this on to my package as I'm having trouble accessing my network from outside of it using IPv6 (Cityfibre and No One do support IPv6 but I'm using my own router which is most likely the issue)

Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely great experience

Absolutely great experience
the team are great at sorting out my issues of which there are very little and minor
i speak to lisa around once every 2 months with little niggles but also to check up on when the service will be available elsewhere
even assisted when setting up my own equipment which no other providers help or even offer
has been a great experience and will keep recommending them to others as the service is faultless

Excellent Service.
I recently appointed No One Internet as my provider. Everything went smoothly.
All the equipment arrived on time and any time I phoned them they answered the phone quickly and were very pleasant and helpful. All told a very pleasant experience . I would recommend them to other people.

What a company.

I've been with noone Internet for almost a year now, what can I say?..
Well city fibre done a fantastic job installation wise, Lisa at noone Internet has been absolutely amazing since day one, had a minor blip which was sorted out by Ben and Lisa, it's basically a breath of fresh air this company, nothing like the other supplier's I've had in the past, this is a totally different level, I'd like to thank everyone at noone Internet for a most excellent service, and to Lisa for answering all my queries and being such a lovely understanding professional member of the team, do yourself a favour and give this fantastic Internet company a go, you won't regret It I can assure you.. One last thing, I wasn't paid or bribed to say the above, this is my genuine review of the company as a consumer.

Best there is…

Have you ever tried getting help on the telephone? Go through a convoluted menu of numbers and still none the wiser, try No One and get a human. Best after sales and back up I have EVER experienced. All fields covered to give you help

Installation this morning - very pleased

Installation this morning by Mark and Susan from City Fibre. Excellent job,despite the pavement connection being situated in the worst possible place, furthest from the Router point. Neat job and drilled through the wall at router location son no disruption inside house.
Router provided was TP-link and there were some hitches regarding passwords. Phone call to No-One support, it rang once and Shannon picked up and was able to provide the password. Wi-fi worked (180mbs to phone), but ethernet to PC was not connecting. Shannon referred to Ben. Within 5 mins Ben had me on screen share, and resolved the Windows connectivity issue. I am now a very pleased customer enjoying 900Mbs at my desk. Thank you City Fibre and No-One. Excellent service, and amazing support.

5* Customer service

I just want to give a shout out to Shannon who is by far the most helpful person I have ever met.

Dealt with me having to cancel and rebook due to housing issues and has been so quick to reply every single time I had an issue. I don't know how much No One is paying her but she deserves more.

Other than that - no issues at all and I have been connected so far!

Reddit Was Not Wrong!! Impeccable Service!!

Had my broadband installed and activated today. Engineers rang me 1 hour before their visit to confirm their arrival time. Engineers arrived bang on the time they confirmed - and I live in an area where traffic will definitely cause you some trouble and make you late to get to places.

Engineers were brilliant. Clear with their instructions on what they were going to do. They discussed how I wanted my connection to come into my home. We discussed different ideas and options and they listened to everything I had to say - they took it all in and presented alternatives so that my home wouldn't be impacted with wires on display and give me the cleanest installation possible with the best coverage for my home. What more could I ask for?

I ordered both the router and extender, but only the router had arrived. Everything happening on the same morning, connection, router arriving - I mean timing was exceptional. Engineers installed the router as well - whilst I could've done that myself.

I rang Noone to tell them my extender hadn't arrived and was not in the package I received. They went away and got one expedited immediately and had it in my hand within 2 hours of making the call! This made me feel incredibly valued as they made sure I had everything I need to get going!

I was with VirginMedia for over 20 years, since they were previously known as NTL World, and not once have I received this type of service from VM.

Each time I rang Noone - I got through to someone within at least 2 mins. With VM - I would've been waiting a minimum of 30+ mins. After speaking to Ben and Jeanette (two separate calls) which were answered within 2 mins, my queries were understood first time and dealt with immediately.

I'm really looking forward to this next 12 months being with another provider - something which I have to be honest was worried about.

Speeds are great! Hoping the broadband itself doesn't see much outage. I mean, I didn't really have outage with VM but one day here and there I can live with.

I did a lot of research on Noone before deciding to go with them. The reviews on Reddit sold it to me!
