This company charged me $250 deductible…

This company charged me $250 deductible for insurance for my goods and then when they were lost, they refused to pay. It has been five months and I still have not had resolution. They kept my goods and storage for two weeks and then took two more weeks to move them across the country internationally. Now, they are blaming me because they had to be inspected at the border at a storage facility. The kids were never moved, but that is their out to not pay me because they said they’re not responsible since that happened. It is a legal obligation to have your goods inspected at the border. I had no control over that. They refused to respond to my emails and refused to pay for the items they lost.

Absolutely amazing experience. My move from New Jersey to Florida was complete in 4 days. They took great care with my belongings. Very professional. Pricing was accurate. Reliable and affordable.

Full Packing Service

We have recently moved from Tampa, FL to Philadelphia, PA with North Atlantic Van Lines and opted for the Full Packing Service - and it was the best decision we could’ve made! Amad from Best Choice brought all of the packing materials and handled everything from start to finish. All we had to do was open the door! The team was friendly, fast and incredibly careful with our belongings. Every box was labeled and arrived undamaged. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, as well as very organized and professional. If you’re looking for a hands-off, stress-free move, we can’t recommend North Atlantic Van Lines enough! Thank you again Samantha!!!!!

Sales team sells you a half truth

Sales team sells you a half truth. Then the inventory team sells you another half truth. Expect to pay 40% more than what you are quoted from sales and 20% more than what you were quoted by inventory. My inventory did NOT change at all (down to exact quantity) after discussing everything with inventory team. They increased the price and we were fine with that. but now the team load everything is here and we are being quoted almost 3K more. they say the inventory teams usually aren't accurate! THEN GET an ACCURATE system.
Also, you will be charged for packing materials (not explained on any call). The insurance provided is a joke, 60cents per pound. And they DO NOT guarantee the delivery date unless you pay extra. but they NEVER told me it wasn't guaranteed and they never even offered me the "pay extra" option.
i'm guessing all of this is in the fine print somewhere. But beware, they don't disclose it over the phone.

So frustrating so far and we are only half way through our move.

On a good note, everyone has been very friendly. Just not very forthcoming. I do not recommend this moving company.

Only Moving Company Worth Calling

Best Choice Moving Services was Fantastic. I spoke to numerous moving companies. Lied to many times. Thank goodness for Best Choice Amaad and Chavez. They saved my move at the 23rd hour!! Extremely professional and honest. A rarity in this industry!

This is the worst moving company I have…

This is the worst moving company I have used. Ship with this company at your own risk. This company should not be in business. The shipping process was the worst. Items where damaged, lots of items were missing, parts of the furniture were missing. They delivered some items that did not belong to me. The delivery driver was very rude and unprofessional and yelled on me over the phone. IT IS VERY UNETHICAL for this company to remain in business. I will not recommend this moving company to any one.

We find your review to be highly misleading and unfair, and we feel it’s important to set the record straight.

First, at no point did you report any damages or missing items to us before leaving this review. That’s not only surprising, but it also makes it impossible for us to verify or resolve any of your claims now.

The real issue in this move was not our service—it was your repeated changes and erratic instructions throughout the delivery process. After our team traveled over 1,000 miles to deliver your belongings as scheduled, you abruptly told the movers you were no longer relocating to New York and instructed them to return everything to Texas. When informed that a redelivery fee would apply due to the drastic change, you told us to dispose of your belongings entirely because you didn't want to pay.

Despite this unreasonable demand, the carrier agreed to waive the redelivery fee entirely—a major concession on our part. Then, after we made arrangements to discard your items per your instructions, you changed your mind again and requested delivery to New York. We honored that request.

Your version of events conveniently omits all of this. It’s incredibly disingenuous to blame the company for a situation that was driven by your own indecision and lack of communication. Our team went above and beyond to accommodate your erratic changes, and to now call our company “unethical” is not only inaccurate—it’s completely inappropriate.

We won’t accept being falsely accused or slandered by a customer who created the very chaos they’re now complaining about. If you have legitimate claims about damage or loss, submit them properly so we can investigate. Otherwise, we strongly stand by our handling of this move.

Great experience from the very first…

Great experience from the very first call until delivery of my items. They gave a great price (although it wasn’t the cheapest) but it was an accurate price! No hidden fees, exact price quoted, and most importantly my items arrived the same way they were taken out of my home. No damages and put back together the way everything should be. Highly recommend! Ask for Amad and his crew! Thank you North Atlantic and Best Choice!

North Atlantic Van Lines are only brokers

Everyone at North Atlantic VanLines was very nice. HOWEVER, I did not know they are only brokers. The company that actually moved my 1 bedroom and approximately 12 medium boxes for $2,000.00 from FL to TN are terrible. When I called the Atlanta moving company to report a claim. The man on the phone was hateful, talked over me and was very disrespectful. He threatened to sue me if I made a complaint.

BE VERY CAREFUL.

Absolute nightmare

Absolute nightmare. Moving cross-country is already stressful, but this made it exponentially worse! A few nice individuals seemed to do their best, but to no avail. North Atlantic Van Lines contracted with Petra Pro Movers (NJ) to do our actual cross-country move.

We are usually do-it-ourselfers, but it seemed like it would cost about the same to hire them as it would to do it ourselves, including hiring friends to drive. Boy, were we wrong!

1. We super-carefully packed and stacked our stuff, so our estimate would be very accurate. We got a quote and then they DOUBLED it on the day of the move, saying we had so much more than we said. Untrue. We re-measured the load in their truck when it arrived and we were right. They took some off the total, but we still paid MUCH more than the original quote.

2. NUMEROUS times I spoke to various people on the phone to arrange pick-up dates and drop-off dates and NUMEROUS times they got it wrong and we had to scramble to make it work.

3. They were not careful with our things. They broke and damaged MANY pieces of antique furniture and tools (>10) and tossed boxes around. Contrary to what they promised, they DID NOT disassemble and reassemble furniture, nor did they wrap it carefully in blankets.

4. Despite promising that they would take boxes from anywhere in our house and deliver them to the appropriate room when we arrived, they refused to take anything up any stairs at all without charging per item per stair in addition to the total. In fact, we are lucky they didn't leave our items outside. We had to convince them to carry them to the mudrooms on the outside of the house.

5. They seem to have no method for claiming damages, so we have received NOTHING for all the problems.

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of both companies!!

To clarify, your move was booked the day before you needed to be picked up and we did our best to accommodate your requested timeline. We understand that moving can be stressful, but it's important to note that we relied on the container you packed, measured and then unpacked yourself and the information you provided, which unfortunately turned out to be inaccurate.

Because we weren’t involved in the packing or inventory process, we had limited ability to verify the contents, which impacted the outcome. For insurance purposes, carriers are not permitted to reassemble anything that you already disassembled yourself. We always encourage customers to provide detailed, accurate inventories to ensure a smooth delivery process. In the past 7 months, we never received any claim that pieces were damaged. Perhaps, you contacted the carrier and filed a claim with them.
In response to pick up and delivery dates, as mentioned before you changed dates several times. You booked the day before your pickup date. then at pickup, gave a first available delivery day which the carrier drove 3600 miles to make sure it arrived on time then stated you were not available.

We really did try out best to accommodate you and your families needs and wants. So this review is of shock since this is the first time we are hearing any feedback.

We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and hope this provides some clarity around the situation.

Worst experience ever

Our experience with this company was an absolute nightmare. When we talked to them , we were quoted a price and told it couldn't be changed, but when the movers showed up, we were then called and told it would be $4000 more than what we're quoted because I didn't specify all the items when I did specify all items of furniture but was off my a few boxes. I explained we didn't have that much extra and the guy told me that he could do $2000 more and I'd have to leave some stuff so we'd agreed and the movers finally started to load the stuff. What was supposed to take them 2 to 3 hours ended up being 6 because everytime they would take something down they would sit in their truck and talk or smoke and finally we started helping bring our own stuff down and even took apart 2 of our own pieces of furniture because it was taking too long and we needed to get on the road. The 2 guys they sent didn't speak English at all and we had to either call the boss to communicate things to them or translate on our phones (there were so many people involved in this it was kind of ridiculous). We ended up leaving 2/3 of our stuff and still paying $2000 more than our quote. I'm not sure how being off by a few boxes ended with us leaving 2/3 of our stuff and paying so much more, but it. Finally, after 7 hours, we got on the road. We left on a Wednesday and was told we'd have our stuff by Saturday. Then they called and said next Wednesday, and then it changed several times, and we finally received our stuff 15 days later. Our stuff had been moved to several different trucks during that time, and several things were damaged. They said they reimburse use for our entertainment center but nothing in the boxes that was broke because they didn't pack them, and we did, but the boxes were absolutely smashed from being moved and thrown around. They sent one guy to unload who was pretty rude about everything we asked except when he told us about how much our stuff had been moved from truck to truck and tossed around. It's been a month now that we've had our stuff and still haven't been reimbursed for our entertainment center and everytime we call the main guy we dealt with Leo he gives us the run around saying he hasn't heard back from insurance about it. I'd stear far away from this company. Also, $1500 of what they quote goes to the 2 women you'll initially talk to who finds a truck and not even towards the actual moving cost.

One of the least ethical companies I've…

One of the least ethical companies I've ever dealt with. Sales guy promised a delivery within a week of pickup. Our belongings took 2 MONTHS to get to us.

In addition, they assigned a mover to us who is neither insured or authorized to move household goods across state lines.

DO NOT fall for the rating, the reviews. It's FAKE. A SCAM. I know because they held my wife's belongings, her life's possessions, (in cahoots with a company called Rapidrelo) for 1 month. Alexander, Samantha, Patty, Nadia all partners in crime. Rapidrelo isn't even a moving company this company brokers too. They're just crooks. Scammers. The only reason we got everything back is because we bluffed them. We told them we were tracking our boxes. We actually had no idea where it all was. But we were desperate. Especially, when they stopped texting us or picking up the phone. We lost $1400 and as it turned out our load not only never left the state, but it was hidden in a storage unit not 1/4 mile from where we lived. They will extort you for thousands. They'll do it without actually saying, 'pay us or you'll never see your stuff again'. No, they walk that fine line. It's not out and out extortion. That way they can say we didn't blackmail them we were just waiting for a bigger truck to go east. They will lure you with promises of a low price (we were idiots!) and then hold it until you pay one way or the other. Trustpilot isn't very accurate as it turns out. Because this company and Rapidrelo should be drummed out of business.

My experience was great with my mover and he was professional, pleasant and even helped me locate guys to help me pack my rental truck that I was loading boxes. He’s the best. My experience with corporate was equally pleasant

NAVL Move- SC to GA

NorthAtlantic Van Lines was contracted move us from South Carolina to Georgia. The move was farmed out to Best Choice Moving Services. Ahmad was in charge of the move. He was very cooperative and did everything to insure the move went smooth and that we were satisfied. We had minimal damage on two items. We were pleased with the move and would use them again. Thanks for the good service!!!

My rep paid attention to all of my…

My rep paid attention to all of my needs. having a move from PA to FL as a single father with 3 kids was already stressful but North Atlantic Van Lines gave me the room to breath. I'm so glad i choose North Atlantic Van Lines.

Phase 3 a success

Well Phase three has ended and it was a success. Andre my third and final driver was perfect. His truck had some issues and did not come in as expected. However, you should always allow extra time if something happens. But, he called to let me know and he was running late and gave me an eta of when he would be back on the road. He text and called the next day to let me know his ETA. He arrived early! And delivered everything in tact. Thank You to all the drivers and staff that assisted along the way. PS they are a broker and you have instructions that need to be followed l, read the fine print. It is fundamental.
