We used Nova through our Mortgage Advisor - as first time buyers, we didn't know who to instruct and were happy to use their recommendation.
Of course, prior to this, we'd heard all the usual stories of "you're forever going to be chasing your solicitors for updates", and expected as such.
Well, that was never the case for us. From the get-go, Asjaadh was on the ball and kept us updated throughout the entire process either via telephone or email, without us needing to lift a finger!
Towards the end of the process, we were introduced to Shaahid who has also been phenomenal with communication.
Between navigating the new Renter's Rights and a very sudden completion date to aim for, both Asjaadh and Shaahid were absolutely fantastic and had patients of Saints.
We can't thank either of them enough for ensuring our first time purchase was, quite literally, stress-free!
It has been a pleasure, we would absolutely recommend Nova to anybody and, should we ever decide to move in the future, we'd like to have Nova on our side!

I appreciate the Nova Convincing team for being friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They were always polite, responsive, and willing to answer my questions, which made the overall experience pleasant.
However, I would not recommend choosing the Nova racket option based on my experience. It was not completed within the promised 25 working days, and the delays made it feel like a poor value for the money. If you’re expecting the work to be finished within the agreed timeframe, you may want to consider other options.
Overall, the staff are experienced and courteous, but the failure to meet the promised deadline had a significant impact on my experience.

Slow and poor
My daughter used this company to buy a shared ownership property. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. There was no chain, just my daughter and the seller, and it took 6 months from beginning to end. Nova were slow, taking 24 hours to reply to phone messages and e-mails. They had no sense of urgency, and weren't communicating with the sellers solicitor. They didn't chase things up and so paperwork languished in intrays for days/weeks/months. Don't use them.

They were responsive and always had time to explain to me being completely irrelevant absolutely EVERYTHING.

Extremely poor conveyancing experience and unresolved post-completion issues
Our experience with Nova Legal during the purchase of our new-build home was extremely disappointing.
Throughout the process, communication was poor and we often had to chase for basic updates. We received unclear and sometimes conflicting information, including around completion figures, bank details, and what still needed to be done before completion. This made an already stressful process much more difficult than it needed to be.
There were also issues with the completion statement, including how the £5,000 developer contribution was accounted for and an incorrect stamp duty calculation, despite our first-time buyer position. These were not minor concerns, especially so close to completion.
At the time, we raised a formal complaint because we felt the service we received fell well below the standard expected from a conveyancing solicitor. Since completion, we have now discovered a further issue relating to our NHBC policy/registration not being properly in place, which has delayed our ability to progress an NHBC Resolution Service case. This is something we believe should have been properly checked, dealt with, or clearly explained before completion.
Overall, we felt unsupported, poorly informed, and left to deal with problems that should have been managed properly by our conveyancers. Buying a home is stressful enough, and our experience with Nova Legal made it significantly worse.
Based on our experience, we would not recommend Nova Legal.
