I was able to listen to people talk that I'm fond of and be able to relate to them and feel special because I was one of a select few that were able to watch those videos of the NSLS speakers. I thought it was beneficial and it made me think and prioritize my goals. It was important to me. The staff members that ran the SNT's did a great job. Communication was perfect. Thank you.

I ordered almost $250 with the products from the NSLS store received an incorrect size on my red leadership shirt. I called the customer service line to receive the correct shirt gave them my address phone number or email address and they could not even pull up the invoice that was very irritating I had to screenshot a copy of the invoice. Email it to them before they would even address my issue so they had no knowledge of my order until I gave it to them.

The experience taught me how to organize and divide my goals into steps instead of trying to do it all at once.

NSLS did a great job providing baseline leadership experience. The training given is invaluable for new/young leaders and a good refresher for seasoned leaders.

When I was inducted into the organization, merchandise was sent out. I didn’t receive it, I waited for weeks before ordering new items because graduation is in a couple of weeks. Now I have 2 sets of items, and they won’t allow refunds. I don’t think that it’s fair honestly.

I loved how empowering each task/lesson was. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it was certainly exceeded. I’ve been to many Train the Trainer sessions with various places and this one was by far the best one I’ve attended.

This program has inspired me to being working towards a new service for my new consulting firm - a personal HR of sorts? A completely unbiased someone workers can contact when they need advice from a leader. Each of us has someone to turn to when we need professional unbiased advice, each other. This is a privilege more people should have.

One thing I would change is the format of the SNT meetings. It was awkward to be in the virtual meeting because I felt like no one was comfortable leading the meeting. Being a group with people at various levels in the process and myself being newer, I was looking for the ones at the end of the program for guidance. I feel like having an official group leader assigned to the break out sessions would have helped me feel more comfortable speaking up. I did my next two meetings with my cousin over about a month. We had so much fun making plans and goals for each topic.

Excellent programs for members. They truly embody leadership and provide not just certificates but also college credit pathways. This organization is a benefit to any current or aspiring leader seeking to develop themselves and others within any organization.

The virtual meetings were very helpful and informative

I completed the program in December 2025 and I was never notified about the virtual induction which led me to missing out. I requested the rest of the package that I purchased on top of the membership fee and I had to do that 3 times. NSLS dropped the ball for me.

NSLS is an amazing organization!

Overall, my experience with NSLS has been positive. I believe the organization has a meaningful mission and genuinely encourages individuals who want to succeed personally and professionally. The speakers were inspiring, and their stories reinforced the importance of perseverance, leadership, and intentional goal setting.
However, my experience with the Success Networking Team (SNT) was less impactful than I had anticipated. One of the benefits promoted by NSLS is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships that can support members through networking, mentorship, and career development. In my experience, however, participation within my team seemed to be driven primarily by completing the program requirements and adding the experience to a résumé, rather than fostering genuine engagement or long-term professional connections.
While I appreciate the structure and accountability the SNT meetings provided, I believe the experience could be strengthened by encouraging deeper collaboration, more authentic networking, and greater investment among team members. Overall, I believe NSLS has the potential to make a significant impact, and I value the lessons I gained from the speakers. With stronger engagement in the SNT component, I believe the program could provide an even more meaningful experience for its members.
