Bootcamp experience
I decided to enroll because I have always been interested in programming and I have some projects for my career which are extremely reinforced with this bootcamp.
I think it was the right decision, although I must admit that it is a lot of information for such a short time.
My idea is to implement all this knowledge in applications for oil and gas projects.
More interesting in programming
I don't have any experience for programming but I am satisfied with this flexible learning course in Nucamp, because I was able to follow the instruction and be enough to code program. This made me to have more interesting in programming. I will keep learning !
nucamp
I have family working as videogame developers, so I have always been interested in software development, living in a tech area I thought it was time for me to get into coding so I search for boot camps, as I am older and did not want to go through a full degree again. It is a nice way to learn on your own path and from home, topics are discussed and you have a trainer assigned, I miss more real coding cases examples and first-timers friendly explanations, sometimes was hard to understand topics and explanations. Overall it is a nice boot camp to study with.
I ultimately chose to enroll in Nucamp…
I ultimately chose to enroll in Nucamp due to the affordability of it. I’ve signed up for the complete Software Engineering Bootcamp path, so it’s hard to give it a thorough sense of "was this the right decision," but it seems good so far.
I didn’t understand that Nucamp is part time learning. It did take time to go through the video lessons and code challenges, but the workshops meet only once a week. For me it feels like there’s a lot of "waiting for more." Had I realized, I probably would have opted for something faster, as I currently have the time and energy to focus on learning. Having made the choice, I’m going to see where this goes.
The instructor for my class was experienced in the field, and was, in my opinion, an effective and patient teacher. I know I would take a class with him again if given the opportunity.
The WebDev course, which I finished, followed a very logical order, starting with introduction of basic HTML and Visual Studio Code. After that, CSS, and then an introduction to JavaScript. I came to the course with some knowledge of JavaScript already, which made it more about "finding the challenge" rather than the curriculum itself being the challenge. It also helped me find my big gap in JavaScript (DOM manipulation).
After the course, I feel distinctly more confident in my trajectory and ability with regard to changing careers.

I was introduced to Nucamp by a friend of mine. It worked out to be the right decision because I have truly acquired the neccessary fundamental programming knowledge which sets as a platform to facilitate my progression which will help me understand the fullstack program I will be taking the coming month.

I joined NuCamp because of the idea of instructors being available anytime.
My experience with Nucamp has been…Decent
My experience with Nucamp has been mostly positive. Covering HTML and CSS in a weeks time felt a touch challenging, but not overwhelming. This began to change when we started covering JavaScript. I believe it was too much, too fast. With a bit more time, I'm confident I could get the hang of it, but time was a luxury I didn't have.
One particular point of frustration (perhaps a compliment?) was while their video lectures were up to date in regards to modern coding practices, most websites that were refered to for extra studing were using outdated practices. This was even an issue when looking up videos on YouTube!
That being said, I found the final JS project to be quite daunting....If you have a part-time job, retired, or a Type-A personality that can perfectly balance day job/ school/ life, I would highly recomend this course. Otherwise, I'd highly suggest one get a solid grasp of JS on their own before enrolling.
P.S.-- I'm now realising that my completion of this course is contingent on me posting reviews of the school on SEVERAL websites. Frankly, they've lost a star for this.

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript at Nucamp
I enrolled in the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript course at Nucamp because I wanted more accountability and interaction than I was getting from the DIY approach. I had some experience in all 3 languages but found that the course both cemented the concepts I had learned previously and boosted my confidence in further learning. My instructor was excellent and the coursework and additional resources provided made the course well worth the money.
I wanted to learn how to code But I…
I wanted to learn how to code But I needed somthing that would allow me to work and spend time with my family as well. That is when I discoverd nucamp and it has been a game changer. being able to do my course work when I need to and then at the cost it is was a game changer. I loved everyday of it.
Web Dev Fundamentals
I started a free bootcamp through a community center in my hometown many years ago, but was unable to continue do to the scheduling conflict. I loved it while I was able to attend, and it was always in the back of my mind to go back to coding.
While researching bootcamps, I came across NuCamp. Compared to the other programs that I looked at, it was the most affordable, the most flexible in terms of schedule, and equally as rigorous. All three courses combined cost less than most, if not all of the other programs that I saw out there.
My current job has generous PD which has allowed me to take the Web Fundamentals course. I'll take the BackEnd course next, then the FullStack after that.
I often feel overwhelmed and that I'm not smart enough for this, but then I get my code to work and it's really the best feeling. That sense of accomplishment after struggling for so long to get something to work. Almost makes you want to cry.
My longterm goal is to use coding with art, music, and social justice-based projects. It won't be easy, but it will certainly be worth it.
You get what you pay for
What led me to Nucamp was the price and the scholarships available for women. I felt all the information learned was valuable however the pace at which you learn is very accelerated for a person that has never coded before. Learning key concepts took more time than given to fully understand. Im still trying to rap my head around some concepts that I thought I knew but when I try to apply them I've actually completely forgotten. Over all, despite the material pace I feel more aware of the concepts despite not fully grasping the concepts. I believe my learning style is more traditional in nature and less reliant on videos. Even with all the outside assistance from sling to websites, it could never take the place of an actual instructional class setting. Im not sure Nucamp is a good fit for me to continue with further courses, but it will not stop me from finding the bootcamp that fits my learning style.
it's good for my
Nucamp a worthwhile investment
After spending years working with software in the material handling industry, I decided that I wanted to move into web/app development. I like learning in a structured environment and decided to look into bootcamps. After reviewing the options, I settled on Nucamp.
Having now completed the Full Stack Bootcamp, I can say that it was a great choice. The instructors are top-notch. They not only go over the technical material, but they also provide many additional insights about working within the industry. I look forward to applying these skills as I move forward into my web and app development career.
Nucamp Bootcamp
I came to NuCamp because I was looking for a new skill and career to take care of my family. After the initial HTML course, I knew I was heading in the right direction; By meeting so many individuals with similar goals, I felt the support and knew I could achieve this goal. Teamwork makes the dream work. Whether you ask a peer or use the discord page to seek an answer, everyone's there to help. I aspire to work in coding and learn more languages to build my portfolio.

I highly recomend Nucamp so much that I am currently finishing my second bootcamp. Great staff, easy dashboard, amazing instructors and they are so flexible about payments. I love Nucamp!!
I researched many bootcamps
I researched many bootcamps. Then proceeded to search the best coding bootcamps. Nucamp was 1 of 2. Of the two Nucamp provided a schedule that fit with my life, better price, and options to what program I wanted to take. It is an intense program but it's definitely worth it.
it was great
it was great, we learned a bunch of stuff about bootstrap and javascript, it's mostly basics, there isn't a ton of depth, but you are paying for structure and the camaraderie of working with others and it can be a challenge. it goes by fast and there is a lot to do. the reason there are so many review is because it is a course requirement at the end other course. dunno if it's mandatory, but it's definitely a box that needs to be checked. if you are anything like me, it will bother you forever to leave a box unchecked
Loving it
I searched and search for a bootcamp I could afford and Nucamp was the best option for me. I've been in it for about two months and I'm really enjoying and proud of the progress I made! My instructors so far have been really great and I'm learning so much. I'm looking forward to the rest of my bootcamp journey.
I thoroughly enjoyed the front end…
I thoroughly enjoyed the front end development with bootstrap class. The instructor guided you through really strong examples, and showed us lots of great shortcuts to becoming great programmers. It was fun, easy, affordable and I was able to do most of the work on my own schedule.
Nucamp: a great professional investment
I have always worked best when I have full autonomy. I am self-relient ; I prefer to work solo because that lines up with my introverted personality. I have always done high-level customer service jobs where I work directly with people. My customer service has always been strong and I love providing top service to customers in whatever industry I am in. It is working with staff, managers, etc., that stresses me out. I found that these roles drained me a lot and I was miserable.
During the peak of the pandemic, I worked as a server and I made a lot of money. However, the money was not enough to outweigh my stress level. I searched for bootcamps in my area because I have had a desire to get into the tech industry, for about 5 years. I found Nucamp and was immediately impressed by the program and the low cost.
I absolutely love the content of the courses (I am currently doing full-stack) as well as the instructors. The material is relevant and Nucamp does a great job at staying as up-to-date as possible with the quickly-advancing coding technology. The instructors are knowledgeable and relatable.
I have taken coding classes in the past, and did not enjoy the common attitude I noticed with instructors who could not be bothered to explain lessons and concepts in a simpler form. I did not not grow up coding, so naturally, I had questions. I was not satisfied with overpriced courses by instructors who taught to the minority of the class - students who were advanced enough to build their own websites and took the courses as refreshers and resume check marks.
Nucamp is completely different. I commend the creators of this bootcamp. Thank you for making coding accessible to people like me, and giving us a chance of building a fulfilling career. I plan on getting into the tech industry after I complete my full-stack course. I am most interested in the front-end/user experience. I like helping people and I am very efficient at seeing customer patterns/trends. I struggle when working with a big group of co-workers, managers, etc. But helping people, has always been my priority and my joy.
