Disappointing experience with the Hannah Martin Advent Calendar

I purchased the OK! Beauty Box Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar, in collaboration with Hannah Martin, for £89 as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Unfortunately, the Dewy Lip Gloss Balm, worth £25 when purchased separately, was missing from the calendar.

I contacted customer services several times, hoping for a reasonable solution. Instead, I was offered either £5 cash or £10 store credit. The store credit is of little practical use, as the available products are considerably more expensive and I would also have to pay postage.

After days of going back and forth, I was then asked to return the entire calendar at my own expense, despite the fact that it arrived incomplete. None of the products have been used.

I understand that mistakes can happen, but it is the way this complaint has been handled that has really disappointed me. I have spent far too much time trying to resolve what should have been a straightforward issue.

For an £89 advent calendar purchased as a gift for my daughter, I expected better customer service and a more reasonable solution. Being directed back to customer services after raising the issue on Instagram has only added to my frustration.

Sadly, this experience has taken the enjoyment out of what should have been a lovely Christmas purchase for my daughter. I hope the company reconsiders how it handles missing items and customer complaints.

I purchase an advent calendar every year and have never experienced anything like this before. I was particularly disappointed as this was a special purchase for my daughter, and I expected a much better experience.

I was send 2 resin GUA SHA tools in 2 ok beauty boxes. The actual GUA SHA packaging stated they were Smokey Quartz. Iv complained to Ok Beauty Box 11 times now and pointed out the items are against The Consumer Rights 2015 and I requested they send me post paid returns envelope and I am sent items to the value of £16 x 2 as they advertised that they are both worth £16 and yet again I have been ignored. How can a big company ignore my rights when The Consumer Rights Act 2015 is on my side. This is a terrible company who ignore the problems and all they said was they will try not to make the same mistake again but this doesn’t help me as I have consumer rights which they are ignoring and not rectifying the problem with me. Let’s see what excuse they make when it if they bother to reply to this review. Iv put a date on but this complaint has been going on for ages.

Absolutely love my subscription every month & have brought all the other boxes & the surprise boxes you can also add on when paying 🙂 Currently waiting on my advent calendar that says it is still being processed at your end & hasent been sent for delivery yet which is quite concerning as paid for it at the end of last week & id usually have received my orders by now. I paid my monthly subscription 3 days after I had paid for my calendar & mystery gift & it is due tomorrow yet calendar hasent even left you yet so hoping someone will respond to this & enlighten me on whats going on with this?! Other than that AMAZING service & AMAZING products. Very happy customer so far

I just loved the products. It was a relax set and was exactly what I needed at the time. Excellent value too!xx

Ive had the beauty box for over a year and have been completely satisfied with all the products
My granddaughter has the items I don’t want/need we both look forward to receiving the box
Also I had to contact customer services recently and they were so helpful . I would definitely recommend , such great value

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS A SCAM! I logged into my account to cancel my subscription as I had started a subscription and didn't like my first box. In the account section it said clearly I didn't have an active subscription. A few weeks later I was charged for a second box. I contacted customer service and spoke to a helpful ai bot that apologised for the confusion and promised to sort it out. Unfortunately once it was passed to a human the customer service ended. I have been told my account with OK Beauty box was with an email with a different email domain. I have assured them I don't have an email with that email domain. Since all emails from them have been my actual email they know that. I have asked to return the box. I have been told I will need to pay return postage. I don't understand why I should pay postage to return something I didn't order! Since I pointed out that they were making it up about the email they have stopped responding! Scam company.

Despite the response from the company below they still didn't respond to my emails....they are obviously more interested in trying to save face publicly than actually sorting out any issues. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

This has to be one of the best boxes
Medik 8 nightcream included in the box so had to order

Disappointed that at checkout I was given a limited time offer but due to technical problems they couldn't process it, then when I tried to contact them about it they didn't even bother responding. I pre ordered the beauty advent calendar so haven't got it yet, but they emailed asking me to review my purchase anyway.

EDIT - I emailed them as requested in their reply but they have completely missed the point of my issue, they haven't responded to my email yet but have sent my advent calendar early for whatever reason. Still no acknowledgement of the fact I tried to purchase an additional mystery box at the same time, but was unable to due to technical issues, and then when I emailed them about had no response.

I am happy with my box every month, it’s my little treat. I have found it a bit samey now, but the products are good.

Monthly subscription boxes are great, get to try new things or gift them on. Plenty of choice, good selection. Good value for money.

Second box - lovely hope it carries on

Bit disappointed to be honest. Hooked in with a few boxes at once they were ok. But follow up (usual box) just disappointed not sure what else to say. Will keep for one more month but unless improves won’t continue. I wouldn’t recommend at this point. Will update if changes. Don’t think it’s value for money

I have been having ok box for a couple of months and im very pleased with all the items that have been in the boxes .I have been utilizing the OK box for a period of several months and I am extremely satisfied with the items that have been included in the boxes.The product are of high quality and the price is spot on

It was so easy to order,my order came very quickly ,so happy with all my products so good that I've order another bundle, im quite happy sharing it with my granddaughter, im a pensioner to be able to buy buety product are out of my price range,so thank you.

Shocking lack of human customer service. Try to raise query AI chat bot can't handle it. Get a small human response following complaint asking for evidence from me, submit then nothing. Keep getting asked for feedback which I submit to then just get further AI responses. Query / complaint outstanding now for a month! Not good enough. Cue the next AI response with no actual resolution

Incomplete order. 2 boxes ordered to the same address with 1 box received. A photo detailing this deliver from the delivery company confirms this. However I am still awaiting a response or refund?!

I was really pleased with my box. Especially like the serum and matte setting spray 😍
