My initial order was said to be out of stock, despite still showing as available on the website. I ordered an alternative when notified by the company. I then had to email to ask about my alternative order delivery date.
There has been no response from the company to apologise for the delay. It was apparent that the processing of my replacement order commenced following my email.
Not a great experience from a quality company.

Hired six dress suits for a wedding last weekend. One turned up with the wrong sized jacket which we realised a couple days before the wedding. The customer service rep at head office was staggeringly rude - blaming me for their mistake and put the phone down on me. Fortunately, Adam at the lower Sloane street store was very helpful and hand delivered a new jacket in the correct size.

Quite amazing that their customer service can be this rude and unprofessional given the price of their suits.

I recently ordered a jacket and a pair of trousers from OB - initially the trousers and later the jacket. They had been sold as separates although ostensibly from the same cloth.The cut of the trousers are simply superb and the stitching equally so. I think it would be extremely unlikely to match the quality of these trousers anywhere. I had ordered the jacket in the same fabric so that I could wear both the trousers and the jacket as a suit should I ever wished to do so. Now, although the fabric was sourced from one of the most distinguished mills in Scotland, it turned out that there was an ever so slight variation in the colour of the fabric from what I had seen online, also there was variation between the colour of the jacket and the trousers, and finally there was no match between the description of the colour(s) and what one would usually describe as the colour itself. I then went up to London and there met a member of the sales/customer service team who was not only profusely apologetic but then took it upon himself to find out how (all) this had all gone so wrong and also to rectify the problems I was having with the garments. The gentleman I met at OB was ever so sympathetic, helpful and polite. As well as keeping me abreast with his investigation, he kept me updated about what action he was taking to get resolution, right up to the end. Frankly, I am quite satisfied that OB go out of their way to provide excellent clothes and if things do go wrong (as they sometimes will in the real world), then I have no doubt at all that OB will rectify the problem/s. I am now a thoroughly satisfied OB customer and I would certainly maintain my custom with them as well as recommend them. The clothes and service they provide are excellent value for money.

Went to collect bow ties that I ordered. Woman who worked there said she only works at the back and not on the shop floor so had no clue of where to find my order. I had received notification saying that my items have arrived. She told me to come back another time which was inconvenient for myself, but the order was eventually found. I ordered three bow ties that were £65 each as I thought the material and colour were nice. No box or elegant packaging, just loose bow ties wrapped in parchment paper with no care or thought on the quality of the product. There was another customer waiting after myself, left immediately as there was no atmosphere in the shop nor any warm welcome towards both of us as if we did not belong there in the first place. What a shame as this was my first time buying from Oliver Brown and it was not a first good impression.

Why are you putting working buttonholes on the cuffs of, in my case, your tailcoats? Only the most skilled of tailors should ever be shortening sleeves from the crown and then theres a limited amount with this method before you kill the sleeve.

Buyers be warned if shorter arms is a particular issue you have with rtw clothing.

As a tailor, I have a lot of customers with shorter than standard arms and this "working cuff" nonsense renders the job of shortening a messy one.

To caveat the one 1 star, the jacket it's self is is a very good fit on my customer and fortunately no attention to the cuffs is required.

Charged me 500$ for a jacket that never arrived; then promised me a refund that was never issued.

I visited Oliver Brown on Lower Sloane street with a particular suit in mind. On arrival I was met with a warm welcome from the team and shown the Navy twill suit. After trying on I was recommended a different style which was a much better fit for me. I was given plenty of time and not rushed into any decisions. In the end the team and in particular Faisal were a pleasure to have met and I am extremely happy with my suit. Thank you

I visited the Oliver Brown store in Lower Sloane Street today. I went in to have a pair of trousers altered. Finding myself in the tailoring section of the store I couldn't help trying on a few things. The service was so great I ended up buying a on off the peg suit that fits me perfectly, two beautifully finished velvet jackets and some made to measure poplin shirts in a very cool ivory colour which looks superb. The quality of everything is brilliant, I'm looking forward to wearing everything later this week.
The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the alterations were made for me very quickly. What a great experience, I highly recommend this store.

Ordered a white baseball cap, which was the last one in stock. I opened it today and it had stains on it. Completely unacceptable.

To make it worse, the hinge on the clasp that holds the adjustment belt on the cap is flimsy. I expect much better for something MADE IN ENGLAND.

I rented a morning suit for my wedding. On pick up they tried to send me off with a damaged old suit - telling me it was okay.
Had to move my travel plans to get to my wedding to come back the following day. Pretty rubbish

Ordered a double breasted dinner jacket and trousers in store. Then tried to contact them over the phone to add a single breasted jacket. Very hard to get hold of anyone and very lazy attitude when I did. Eventually somebody answered with an “hello” so I had to ask if it was OB and she said yes I was speaking to Head Office. Who answers the main facing telephone like that?? Thought everything was organised but parcel arrived late so had to be forwarded at my expense to the recipient so 2 postage costs and when it reached him it didn’t contain the single breasted jacket. My son then wore the double breasted jacket and within 5 minutes a button fell off which matters on this type of jacket. Not impressed. Now trying to track down where the single breasted jacket is.

I visited the store on Lower Sloane Street. First impressions were excellent - nicely laid out, looked high end, and the products on show were attractive. But, the team in the adjacent room (bespoke tailor? management?) were bantering and swearing like foul-mouthed dockers. Definitely not the atmosphere I expect of a high-end establishment. Also, the majority of suits I looked at were not available in my size. (38rg, 32w - how standard can you get?). Really not impressed. I’ve joined Trustpilot to leave this review and I’m not surprised that the online business is also poorly reviewed.

Never delivered. DPD Local also useless. The customer service at Oliver Brown make the company sound like a con. I'm not yet convinced the company isn't a con.

Proceed with caution, as i'm yet to have my money returned - apparently they need to perform some more 'checks'.

For a company that markets itself to the luxury consumer, Oliver Brown’s service is a joke. My wife ordered and paid for an Ormonde Smoking Jacket for my Christmas present on 12th December. It never arrived. On the 25th December she wrote to Oliver Brown who responded on the 28th to say that they were out of stock of the size ordered. A communication error meant they had not reached out. However, they assured her she would receive the jacket in early January. Not surprisingly, it never came. Today, she received an email from them offering the same jacket at a 20% discount! What a massively insensitive communication and how grossly incompetent. My recommendation is never to buy from Oliver Brown online. This review certainly echoes the same sentiments as the other reviews.

Unfortunately I have to echo the sentiments of some of the previous reviews regarding Oliver Brown’s online service. I ordered 2 products on 30 November 2022, over a week later, nothing. I have sent numerous emails and telephone calls. No-one answers the calls and you are asked to leave a message. On my most recent call the answer phone message now states the in-box is full so the caller is unable to leave a message. I really needed the items by 8 December 2022 (tomorrow) which I think is a completely reasonable timescale for delivery. Barring a Christmas miracle, that would seem unlikely. I would not have minded if I’d had received an email reply stating I would need to wait an extra few days for delivery but it’s the no response to emails and calls that is the most frustrating part of my order. Very disappointed. (Order no.2179)

I purchased a dinner jacket online having attempted to speak to the right person three - four times with no answer over the course of five days.

There was an urgency about this as I had three evenings where it was required and my old one seemed to have shrunk!

It arrived late, so I missed the first event. When it did arrive the box was severely damaged and the jacket, which was wet, presumably from rain water, was wrapped in a single piece of Oliver Brown green wrapping paper which is no where near adequate and it was barely covering the jacket.

On the plus side, the quality of the jacket is superb, as is the cut. It looks every bit as good as anything tailored.

Update: got a call from the MD to apologise and put things right, so faith restored.

Original review for transparency: the customer service is absolutely terrible (this is in relation to suit hire). Nobody could confirm that my tux was ready when I called on the day (Friday) that I needed it for collection. As a result, I needed to make another plan (which I did). When I phoned to get an update and/or cancel my tux (on Friday!), I was told a team member would get in touch. They got in touch only today (Monday) and told me that I cannot cancel after the event (pickup date - Friday!!). When I explained that this was due to negligence on their part, they told me that there was absolutely nothing that they could do. Basically, and contractually, they have taken my money without offering a service.

I would strongly recommend that if you do hire a suit from here, you do it weeks or months in advance. I cannot believe the manner with which this was handled and will definitely not use them again for any of my needs.
