I found the staff in the Cork office to be extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was explained and laid out in the correct way. The consultant and staff in the Dublin clinic were all nice as well. However, when speaking to the consultant the difference between LASIK and LASEK was difficult to make out. His Portuguese accent made me unsure as to which one I was definitely getting but the two words being so similar is a bit off putting. Perhaps a name change would be a good idea!?!

In terms of the procedure itself - I knew which one I was getting - but I had to take three weeks off work instead of the proposed one week. I know there are provisos on a person-to-person level but if this had been explained more clearly I would not have had the procedure done at the time I did.

All in all I can see perfectly now, there is some dryness but I have the drops so I would recommend it for sure. I would just tell people to ensure you have ample time to recover.

Great staff and equipment, Rachel at the Mahon Point store explained everything clearly at all steps along the way. She then followed up with an email confirming everything within 15mins.

Cost me €50 and no appointment 🤯This company pressed to me have an appointment with them asap despite me saying Sat appointments suited me better. We confirmed a Thursday appointment but they then charged me €50 when I noticed a clash with a dentists appointment and I tried to reschedule NOT cancel just reschedule. Feels like a scam to me.

I was dealing with a girl called Donna. She was excellent to deal with. Explained everything thoroughly and made the whole experience very easy.

The consultation with Donna Thorpe was made in a relaxing manner and everything was explained in detail. The online meeting with the optometrist was also very informative.

Rachel in the Cork (Mahon) store was very helpful this morning in replacing a nose pad within minutes, when Specsavers couldn't help. She was very pleasant and professional to deal with and exceptionally efficient. I'd definitely visit this store again.

From my the beginning of my cataract and lens replacement to both eyes which began with the wonderful Optical express team in Cork namely: Roxana, Orlaith, Donna, Rachael and the Dublin team: Emer, Alison, Zoe, and of course the very professional Dr. Mickhail Hernandez and his surgery team, each and everyone of these teams made the procedure so simple by explaining every step I was going through they put my mind at ease with great results for me as after five days after the surgery I can see like I did at 15 years old before I ever needed glasses and the only problem I have now is that by habit I still reach for my glasses when I want to read or watch TV, to finish with I would like to express my gratitude to all who made this procedure so worry free with great results and if I forgot to mention anyone please forgive me as the entire Optical team should be proud of themselves and I will be forever greatful to each and everyone one of them,
