Totally frustrating experience. Settlement was on the 13th of December. Our over payment of over $28K took over a month to be paid back. Numerous calls made with little action made. Still to this day we have not received a final statement of accounts after asking more than 10 times. Loads of excuses made and blaming other conveyancing companies for their lack of follow up. Find another service provider that is customer focused.

Avoid at all costs!!!!! Totally useless bunch of amateurs. Every piece of communication is automated and they don’t even bother to personalise the emails with your name or information. Felt like I was acting on my own behalf the entire time. Complete waste of money. Never again.

To say the least they are nightmare to deal with, they call themselves professional which I don't think they know the meaning of it, they call themselves exceptional customer service which they have proven over and over they are otherwise.
They settled our to buy property without our knowledge and to make the matter worse ignored the very important contract's special condition so burdened us with potentially a faulty property.
No communication and no one own to the blunder they made, we are still to receive settlement documents after a week. Absolutely stay away from this firm at any cost as they aren't what they claiming to be, not at all.

This conveyancing firm is a nightmare to work with. You get emails constantly 24/7 and you can never speak to anyone when you ring up. Since settlement of my new property I have been sent an overdue council bill in my name when I didn’t even own the property at that time. I have rung and you guess it no one available to speak to me. Still waiting for a call back 24 hours later. Very unhappy client who will be getting legal advice on this matter

Coming up to six months after settlement and I'm still over $1,000 out of pocket because Ownit won't Own the problem they created by paying six months rates in advance - without any consultation (or perhaps thought). Can't find a 'complaints' email address - and I've emailed the relevant staff often enough to no avail.
Perhaps this will get some appropriate attention?

In my opinion TERRIBLE SERVICE! Miscalculation of conveyancing cost us $615.37 extra. Very hard to contact for help! Tried to double charge us for some fees. When asked to fix up stuff up of conveyancing they gave us the runaround and then just stopped taking our calls. Could not run a chook raffle. AVOID.

I recently used Ownit for conveyancing for the sale of my apartment.

Ownit said on their quote that their fee was all inclusive and unlike other conveyancers there were no extra hidden fees.

When I got to the end of the process and about to settle I first find out about a settlement agent fee of $74 to be paid. This fee had never been disclosed to me before. If they chose to outsource the attendance at settlement I don't see why I should pay the fee. I thought that was what I was paying Ownit to do!

Also just days before settlement they sent me an email following up on the transfer forms for the sale of the property. I had sent them these forms 2 weeks earlier by registered mail and had verification they had received them. I was not impressed to be put into this last minute panic. They eventually found the forms thankfully!

Otherwise the experience was fine. Very friendly etc but the hidden settlement agent fee really annoyed me. I don't mind paying what I should for a service but felt swindled at the end of the settlement process and it put a bad taste in my mouth.

If they had been upfront about these costs I would probably have used the electronic settlement process which would have cost about the same

I inadvertently posted a review for another Conveyancing company due to some mix up and wanted to make sure I posted the correct one. Own It Conveyancing were a nightmare to deal with and should be avoided at all costs. They advertise fixed price quotations but in fact this only applies to their "professional fee" not the rest of the costs. Better to pay a bit more if necessary than go through all the dramas we had to endure with Own It Conveyancing!
