I was paying $50 a month to get Pacific Source. A Medicaid worker signed me up at her suggestion. It would have covered my dentures. I never figured the OHPl. would kick me off it after paying 100s of dollars for the working people's Medicaid. I am at the poverty level and the teeth were never gotten. I paid 50$ a month for nothing. They said I made too much money and kicked me down to my Medicare and QMB. My income was much lower when they kicked me off, I couldn't work with COVID I got 2 months ago and they also said they mailed me my last $50 back. That's not true. I never received it. I needed help when I had COVID at age 74 and briefly hospitalized. I never got anyone to bring me water or anything and I feel I was unjustly denied benefits I stupidly paid for for about 8 months. If I'd seen that coming I never would have joined because that 50$ came out of my 75$ I have left after I paid rent with social security. I'm going to be homeless Jan 1st and I have no friends or family. I was homeless before but there's no help for homeless unless you're on a long list and my psychiatrist has written letters saying my life will end on the streets. I have no kids, not young or I'd get help but help for 74 year old women fighting to stay inside is not happening under any program. Which means I have to quit my PT time job that paid 100 a week. And they said I made too much. I am below poverty level . Shame on ohp and shame on Pacific source. They are contributing to homelessness for the disabled elderly and I will be dead outside within a couple weeks and my cats will be taken and euthanized.
