The pack was great, the kids loved the dressing up, the games and the venue looked amazing with all of the props/decorations. Overall I found it really easy to use, you do need some time to digest the pack but once I got it into my head it was very easy to understand, Liz has created a great and unique party option and I really did love it!

I hired the Harry Potter option for My son's 6th birthday which we hosted in a village hall for 20 kids. If you have a big group like this I would advise having 2 of you running it and splitting the group at certain points as I tried to do it all myself and it would have been smoother if I had another adult fully helping!

I loved not having to think about what games to have and having all of the props/decorations delivered to me, it made having an epic party affordable.

The Lego party package was very well thought out, and was organised and packed in a way to make our party preparation easy.  The instructions were easy to follow to make the games fun for the children.  The games were nicely varied to keep their interest. We could pick which games to follow to mix with the chidren doing their own thing with the enormous pile of lego!

Absolutely amazing Harry Potter party! We ordered a packaway party for my son’s 9th birthday party and it was a huge hit! The magic candles and honeydukes in particular were highlights. There’s plenty of stuff in the box to keep the kids occupied and really helpful instructions and communication from Liz. Would definitely recommend Packaway parties to friends and we may well be back for another party!

We hired the Lego party package for 28 children for my son's 6th birthday and it was a total hit! The kids were welcomed with special hi-vis uniforms to wear and dove excitedly into two massive bags of Lego to play with. We used most of the games included in the package and the kids were engaged throughout and really enjoyed the variety and pacing of the party. Other parents were saying afterwards how brilliant it was, and I'd use Packaway Parties again without any hesitation. To have that many kids, most of them 5 year olds, and have a 2 hour party where they are focused, engaged and entertained without running around and screaming, it was magical!!

Only thing I'd say is that waiting for the box to arrive can be a little stressful not knowing exactly what you're going to get, but when it does get to you everything is clean, organised and laid out with a full party plan and instructions.

Thank you Liz for helping to make my boy's day so special and for helping me to pull off a party that kids and their grown-ups will be talking about for the rest of the school year!

We have used this company twice now- for a harry potter party for my son's 8th birthday and a pokemon party for my younger son's 6th party. The communication prior to and after receiving the box was very good. The plan was good. I would say it is obviously more work than just hiring a venue with entertainment (e.g. innoflate or smthg) however it is also worth it in terms of doing something different and really engaging for the kids. The harry potter one especially was really memorable for the kids with a smoking cauldron and magic candles. Overall I would highly recommend this for a great experience but you will need a bit of time to read through all the games/ challenges and practically definitely easier to have at least 2 adults organising the party.

Absolutely disgusting party package. The costumes were dirty, smelly, and completely unsuitable for use. To make matters worse, the package was delivered close to the party, leaving us scrambling to find alternatives.

The vendor refused to acknowledge the poor quality of the items and essentially tried to force us into using them. The props were filthy, including bottles that were in a disgusting state, and the overall quality was far below any reasonable standard. Whilst we accept this is a hire and not a purchase, we still believe all items should at least be sanitary and useable.

To add insult to injury, the vendor refused to take the box back, and we had to pay for the return out of our own pockets. Although a refund was eventually issued, it was only offered as a “goodwill gesture,” which felt inadequate given the condition of the items and the stress caused.

This experience was a complete nightmare and ruined the party planning process. I would not recommend this vendor to anyone.

We had the Harry Potter box for my daughter's 9th birthday and it was absolutely brilliant the kids had a blast and all the games and props were brilliant. It was structured like a Hogwarts day and included all the costumes and decorations. Great value for money. Clear professional communication. Great experience

I would highly recommend Packaway Parties. We had the Lego one for our son's 4th birthday. It was a similar price to just hiring the Lego on its own (from another site) but all the decorations, ramp for Lego car racing, prizes and game ideas made it well worth getting this one instead. We held the party in our house. We were worried about space but it was absolutely fine for this age group. I would say we didn't use that many of the game ideas and some were pitched a bit older anyway but it really didn't matter. The children just loved doing their own thing and being creative - using the ramp for testing their cars, wearing the builder vests and masks and coming and going to the 'Lego zone' as they pleased. Our son was there most of the time. Liz was really helpful through email in the run up, and then the instructions that come with the party stuff contained everything you need, and more! We'd definitely recommend and would use again.

We have hired the Harry Potter party package with Honeydukes sweets shop included and it was great. The communication with Liz was very good, step by step instructions extremely clear and delivery and collection timings impeccable. There were plenty of decorations to really make the space look magical and the children loved it. I have many more budding wizards and witches leaving the party than I had coming in :-). The games were really thought through and kept the children's interest all the way through, which, as anyone will confirm, is a miracle (or could it be magic? :-)) Definitely recommend!

This is a fantastic option for a kids birthday party. I hosted a Harry Potter party for 10 x 8 year olds and we all had a great time. The decorations look great, the itinerary and guidance for the party plan were so handy. The organisation and communication from Liz was excellent. I have been recommending this to everyone who will listen!

Absolutely brilliant idea for a Harry Potter themed party. The pack was cleverly designed and really only needed unpacking, decorating and starting. The games were a lot of fun and everyone (including the adults) enjoyed them!

My daughter had a fantastic Harry Potter party! I’m so glad I found Packaway parties. Liz was very helpful and took away any anxiety I had over timings because her communication is 10/10.
All the games were easy to follow. The props are excellent and the children and grown ups really did get into the magical world we created!
Hopefully my daughter and her friends will have happy memories of “the best party ever” for the rest of their lives!

Fantastic service and amazing selection available from Packaway Parties. They made the stress of decorating for my son's dinosaur theme party disappear as I was able to order the entire kit I needed at genuinely affordable and reasonable prices. Plus amazing service throughout by Liz who responded so promptly each time and made sure it was all hassle free and efficient. I cannot recommend them enough. Great customer care and lovely range to choose from.

I'm going to start by saying I will definitely use Packaway Parties again. When I first found them I liked the fact they offered something different, it wasn't the same format as all the other parties we'd been to and it wasn't going to cost me hundreds of pounds. I was very interested, I read all the reviews, but the thought of being the one running the party and being responsible if it all fell flat on its face was daunting. I carried on looking at more party options for a couple of weeks but kept coming back to Packaway Parties. In the end I gave a shortlist of ideas to my daughter to pick from and she wanted the princess party from the start. She loved the idea of following a story and going on a journey with her friends and I'm so pleased she picked this party. The communication has been timely and informative at every stage, the box itself had loads of decorations in and the sheer number of games meant there was no way the children couldn't stay engaged. There were sweets and prizes and other than food, I didn't have to think of anything. The plan was so easy to follow and once I'd sat down and read through it a couple of times, I felt a lot more at ease. I pretended the information folder was a spellbook so I could have it in front of me the whole time and I followed the plan to the letter, the timings were spot on. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Packaway Parties and would definitely use them again. It was a huge thumbs up from both children and adults alike!

We had a party at home and it was a smooth experience thanks to Liz being super friendly, helpful and responsive and to the box of costumes, props, decorations. She arranged a home delivery for us and it couldn't be simpler. We had all we needed within the box, it's literally just add children and party food. Our children had lots of fun, they laughed a lot and loved the games. They liked being sorted into houses, earning stars, learning skills and working in a team. They enjoyed the sweet shop very much, as well as the seeking games, the Monster book of monsters (aka pass the parcel) and Dobbie's sock game. Grown-ups loved dressing up and it was easy to run a smooth party thanks to the party plan, story telling. Great addition to the pack was the deluxe add-on for party bags (sustainable too). Great find.

We hired the Harry Potter box for our son's birthday. 10 lively 8 year olds made for an extremely energetic party, but we had everything we needed, the games were engaging and everyone had a great time. It's a brilliant concept and everything was straightforward to arrange, Liz was very responsive and easy to deal with. Highly recommend!

Such a good idea! We had everything we needed - had the ninjago pack and the decorations / costumes were fab. I loved the sustainability aspect, much better than buying and we had way more and better quality than if we had spent the same amount buying things. The pack had great ideas for games. Highly recommend adding the sweet shop - the kids loved it!

Pirate Party for 5yo

Seamless delivery and the contents far exceeded expectations. We didn't need anything additional at all and our house and garden were completely transformed into a pirate haven! The dressing up costumes are great quality and there's loads of choice - the children loved them. The games are incredibly comprehensive, easy to follow and completely engaging for the children. We would never have thought of such fun activities or had the props to do it. I would very highly recommend.

The LEGO hiring pack was very complete and the instructions were clear, very detailed and precise. Lots of items, more than expected! I am impressed on how well organised the whole thing was. I recommend this company and I will use it again.
