I ordered new door locks for series 3 and they arrived in 2 days. Superb quality.

Great quality panels. well made and fits well

Purchased as a Grade B panel where the outer surface is allegedly top quality, these need a lot of metal working before they are ready for paint. The thicker than standard material leads to a very faceted radius that needed a lot of reworking to make it match the wing top and front panels. Several small outward dents that required shrinking out and several low spots from the tooling that required raising. Are they worth the money, probably if you can bring them up to scratch yourself, however if you’re paying a professional to do your prep and paint, I’d stop and think first.

Calm down Paintman, I was merely pointing out that work is required that may be beyond the amateur and if this was the case then perhaps they ought to buy the A grade panels, that you don’t actually appear to sell.
In all honesty they aren’t a bad product, I fully accept that work is required in the fixings area to correct them, this is explained in the description. However I was a little surprised at the work required to match them to the profile of the mating genuine Land Rover wing top and front panels. They would also be a whole lot easier to prep if they hadn’t been subject to a 1 minute blitz all over with what must be a 40 grit pad on a DA sander. If I had issue with the product, I may well have contacted you, the fact is I don’t, I was merely pointing out to your potential customers that to achieve the correct fit and acceptable appearance in the installed and painted product, there is more work than the advert might have you believe. Would love to chat more, but I’ve got the offside one to start prepping. 😉
