Brody was 14 and a half and he had been a faithful friend to us all, When he became too poorly we had to make the hardest decision, We used paws at peace after reading reviews and Kim was very understanding and compassionate and listened to our concerns and helped us through the most heartbreaking time. I would highly recommend this service,when needed.

Bella, 11, who had been my loving companion for a number of years, was suffering from severe arthritis. Despite doing everything possible to lessen her pain, including giving her numerous up-to-date medications, laser therapy and hydrotherapy, we finally had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go. I phoned Paws at Peace, and Kim came to my house the same day. She was so kind and compassionate, let us have as much time as we wanted to say goodbye, and made such a difficult time so much easier to bear. She even liaised with the crematorium on our behalf.
I would recommend Kim to anyone looking for a kind and loving way to say goodbye to their companion. She made such a difficult time bearable with her professional yet caring manner.

On the 19 November we made the heartbreaking decision to have our beautiful boy Lucky put to sleep. We were desperate to find a veterinary surgeon to come to our house so Lucky could pass in comfort surrounded by his loving family.

After contacting several vets across Tyne and Wear without any success we were recommended Paws at Peace.

Upon speaking with Sam at Paws for Peace we were immediately reassured that Lucky was in the best possible hands and Sam explained the full process and arranged for Kim to come to our house and attend to Lucky.

Kim was kind, caring, respectful and Compassionate to Lucky and my family.

We took great comfort that Lucky did not suffer and thanks to Paws at Peace he was able to pass peacefully at home.

We are forever grateful for the compassionate service Sam and Kim provided

From my first, tearful, request to my final farewell to my beloved cat, Colonel, Paws at Peace and vet, Kim, made the sad experience so peaceful and dignified I would give 100 stars.

What amazing service with dignity. Our dog miley was unable to stand and very poorly we had make a decision on the weekend to end her suffering. They attended and provided her with dignity and compassionate service. Thankyou so much for giving her such a beautiful goodbye. No words can express how much it meant to us as a family.

Our 14 year old dog Paddy was unable to stand or eat so we decided to let him go. We called Paws at Peace as we wanted him to be at home with us where he was comfortable and settled. Kim, the vet came and was just fantastic. She was kind to Paddy and did not rush. He was not at all frightened and his passing was peaceful and dignified. Kim was very considerate of our feelings and she let us know that she understood how hard it is to say goodbye to a close family member.

Our cat Jasper who was 13 fought for months after having a stroke but we had to make the difficult decision to let him go. Travelling to the vets was stressful for him in normal circumstances, so this wasn’t an option for us as we didn’t want the last moments of his life to be like this. This is where Paws at Peace came in - from the initial phonecall with Sam, to when Kim arrived, they handled it with sensitivity and understanding. Sam was very sympathetic on the phone and explained everything to me about what will happen. When Kim arrived, she did the same. She allowed us to choose where to have Jasper put to sleep, allowed us some time with him and explained exactly what would happen. Although the situation was awful for us, I know Jasper passed where he was comfortable and with the people he loved. This was thanks to Kim, and I would recommend their services to anyone finding themselves in the situation. Their aftercare is also something to be praised as they check in with you after it has happened. In the nicest way possible, I hope I don’t need to use this service for a long time, but I wouldn’t hesitate to go to them again.

Our boy Monty was the most faithful loving little pet whippet. We were very lucky to have shared our lives and many adventures with him. He was a massive part of our family and we all loved and adored him. At almost 17 years old and suffering from a degenerative disorder, the day arrived that we had been dreading. It was with a heavy heart that we knew it was far kinder for him, that we had to say goodbye.
We called Paws at peace as we knew that they would come to our home and save our boy any stress of going to the vets. They were very compassionate and kind,nothing was rushed. Kim the vet made sure that she went over everything that would happen and gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes. In the end it was very peaceful and dignified for our boy and he was in his own surroundings with all his family around him.

My Mitzy was my life for nearly 2 years and making this decision to send her over the rainbow 🌈 bridge was heart breaking. Unfortunately we needed to use this service for our gorgeous Millie. It was the most peaceful end to her wonderful life.
We were given all the time we needed to say our goodbyes and comfort her as she passed. Couldn’t have wished for anything better 💔

My Aunty & uncle and I needed an emergency appointment for the beautiful Daisey.
Kim was recommended by our local vets.
I gave her a call , she was with us within the hour.
She is so caring and patient, explained everything that would happen to Daisey Kim made a very stressful and emotional experience a little easier , still it's so heartbreaking losing Daisey who wasn't only a pet but a member of our family.

on June 23rd we said goodbye to our beautiful border collie 'jess' . we would like to say thank you to Kim from paw's at peace who was the only vet willing to travel over 30 miles to our home on a Sunday evening . It made a very sad situation much less stressful to deal with. She was so kind and professional and Jess passed peacefully in her own home without pain.

My old dog Barney had a seizure in the early hours of Sunday 23rd June and was unable to use his back legs.I knew he was in so much pain and feeling so confused about what was happening to him.Luckily I had heard about Paws at Peace and I rang and spoke to Kim.She was so kind and helpful.Barney was able to pass in peace at home in his favourite spot on the sofa without the trauma and distress of having to travel.Kim made the whole process much easier to bear, I really can't thank her enough.A fantastic service, caring and compassionate.

Absolutely fantastic. She made it so special to say goodbye to my best friend and son Ernie the big black lab. Its a horrible time but I'd definitely recommend to anybody if you go through what we went you want alyssa to do it. So kind. So loving. And the after service was fantastic. Still can't believe uts real but so glad how it went.

My dog Milo passed on 31st March at 14 1/2. Kim was caring and considerate throughout, helping Milo with compassion and care in his own home, surrounded by the love of his family. Thank you Kim.

Our gorgeous girl Betty a mini schnauzer who was 3 days off being 13yrs old, needed help to let her go over the rainbow 🌈.
We decided we wanted her to be at home in her own surroundings.
We had heard lots of lovely reviews about Kim at Paws At Peace.
I spoke to Kim on the phone to explain about Betty, then decided on a date and time.
What a wonderful kind sympathetic person Kim is. She kept us informed to when she would be at the house, she also informed Betty’s vets and Roxy’s Rainbows pet
Crematorium, this is who came to collect Betty.
Kim arrived and nothing was rushed in anyway, she spoke to Betty and talked us through what was going to happen and what to expect.
Betty crossed the 🌈very peacefully upsetting as it was Kim was excellent in giving us as much time as we wanted with Betty. Hand on heart I would 100% recommend Paws at Peace, what professional company they are.

On an overwhelmingly sad day, Kim made our beautiful Archie's passing peaceful and calm. We said goodbye to him as he went to sleep for the last time in his favourite spot at home surrounded by love. Kim could not have been more perfect for us. She talked us calmly through what was going to happen and made sure Archie was comfortable as he slipped quietly away. She has even checked in on us with texts and emails to offer kind words of condolence. This has been the most difficult thing we have ever had to do and it meant so much to us that Archie could be at home with his family.

I cannot speak highly enough of the service Kim provided. Our lovely dog had a perfect send off. We were not rushed, we had all the time and space we needed to help him on his way. His end was peaceful and he was surrounded by his family in a place he loved. Thank you Kim.

Unfortunately, we have had to use Kim twice in the last 2 years for our stunning British blue brother and sister, Jasper and Alice.

Both were indoor cats and did not enjoy trips to the vets.

They were both sadly too sick to continue, and we had to make the fair and kind choice to have them p.t.s.

We really wanted to do this at home, and I was recommended Kim and Paws at Peace for Jasper in 2022.

Kim was professional and explained the whole process and allowed us all the time we needed to be able to finally let go, it was peaceful, stress free for Jasper and he slipped away at home in his favourite spot with us close by.

We hoped not to have to see Kim so soon but last weekend his sister Alice took a turn for the worse with her medical condition.

Kim was called upon again and she was able to come at very short notice on a Sunday. This allowed again us time to keep her comfortable and Alice slipped away peacefully in our arms. There is only a very short online form to fill in to confirm the appointment.

I can’t recommend Kim and Paws at Peace enough. If you want to, need to, or have the opportunity to let your loved pet slip away at home at his very sad time then this would be a service I would explore for you and your pet.
