Absolutely the best herbs and spices anywhere! Fresh and reasonably priced. The few times I have run out and had to buy from the supermarket, I have regretted it as they are stale and flavorless.

And I support the First Amendment right of the company to give their support to LGBTQ people and lovers of democracy everywhere.

I order on line and in store. The herbs and spices are always fresh and pricing for quality is fair

The spices are truly excellent. I won't buy peppercorns anywhere else. I also use the Justice seasoning and Sunny Spain regularly.
I usually order online and pick up in store so I don't overspend, but the staff has consistently been friendly and very helpful.
Love this store and how it smells!

My daughter & I would shop in Penzeys like giggly kids in a candy store. Loved it so much, but stopped as soon as I read the raging hateful diatribes the owner spewed online last year against my daughter, my friends, & me. We're not in lockstep with his extreme leftwing politics. He said Republicans are not welcomed. Alrighty, then. Embrace your nasty woke hate, Penzeys. For the past year, Pepper Palace has been getting my hard-earned money.

If you want to shop and be berated for your political views then Penzeys is the place. First and foremost we are humans, we are not defined by our political viewpoints. But according to Bill Penzey, I am a racist and barely deserving to shop for spices at his store. I went to place an online order when I saw “what is a republican”, upon clicking on it I found the ceo of the company using his business as an attempt to belittle and judge me as well as accuse me for the demise of all the nation being on my shoulders. You know, we can ALL learn from one another. But what I don’t need is to buy products from a company that has such disregard for their customers that they choose to dehumanize them completely. Here is straight from the website
“If you need us to pretend you are not creating the hurt you are creating in order for you to continue to be our customer, I’m sad to say you might be happier elsewhere. If on the other hand you still want the best spices and don’t need us to respect what you now vote for to be our customer, Hooray! We are happy to have you here, but know that we will, on a regular basis, try to wake you up from this dream that has you believing there is anything conservative left at all to what the Republican Party has become.” Mr Penzey your gaslighting won’t work with me, I sure won’t be spending another penny of my money to this entitled lunatic.

The CEO is divisive and hateful. Generalizing that all republicans are racists is disgusting.

This company should be ashamed of themselves. The “hug” blanket they sent me turns out to be nothing more than a random act of hate. They know nothing about me as a person, only my political affiliation. Maybe I was going through something personally that I did need a “hug”? Instead I was targeted and the blanket was meant to knock me down. Everything I’ve read about this company says they spew hate. It’s really sad to see people can be that evil especially over politics. They should be shut down

The spices actually taste terrible, they leave a bad taste in your mouth, just like any conversation you try to have with someone on the left. If they would employ Chefs that actually understood how spices interact with food and come up with combinations that were good, they could call themselves a spice company. Instead they throw together combinations of spices blindly without regard to how they taste. Not to mention, I saw one of their unopened products at one of my liberal friends house, that wasn't even sealed properly and another that they could no longer use because the dispenser design was bad. Bad spices, bad packaging, bad marketing, and bad taste all around. To make this even worse, this spiteful company is determined to further divide this country... United we stand, Divided we fall.

Woke company, hates conservatives. Calls conservatives racist etc. Love my spices but there are better companies out their. And ones that actually want my business.

Hate and political vitriol have forced me as a long time customer to go elsewhere for my spices. Great job Mr. Penzey. Keep up your political rants and you will have very few customers left.

I’m so happy this dope of a CEO hates republicans. It made me search out other spice companies and to tell you the truth, I was wasting my money at this place. Thank you hater!

I had been a customer for over 20 years, having hearing about this company from a catering friend of mine. Then I started receiving hate emails about our president, which you can guess, was Pres. Trump, whom Bill Penzey stated was "unamerican" which is as far from the truth as can be. So, I replied, stating he had NO business stating his political preferences to me, using his company money, MY money, to enhance the other side. So, folks, I went to The Spice House...family business, professional and NO politics.

I used to get lots of spices, etc. from this company. Then a few years ago they went hate-filled, alienating half their customers. Extremely unprofessional. I stopped buying from them a few years ago and use companies that appreciate everyone’s business. And there are plenty of good spice companies out there!

I love Penzeys spices, especially the large selection of salt-free blends. I would give five stars except last time I ordered from Penzeys my Sunny Paris spice's lid was so cracked it was unusable. Penzey's took TWO WEEKS to send me a new lid which left my spice a bit stale by the time I was able to use the new lid! Hopefully today's order will be hassle free when I get it.
