I have bought several items from this business for a while. Like a lot of customers in this small business industry looking for blanks, we shop around and find the best quality blanks that suit our own business. Rarely would a single business be able to provide you with every blank possible. This like everyday shopping, you wouldn’t constantly shop in one place forever. You shop around, try new things and stick with what you like albeit from several businesses.
Well if you are a top fan of this business then please don’t expect to be a favourite if you shop around too and buy from several businesses. The consensus on their social media seems to be, shop with me, I’m the best nobody else can compare. Now there’s owning it and bigging yourself up, quite rightly however if you have to discredit others to improve your reputation then it becomes off putting.
I have stopped shopping with this business recently. Not for the quality of products, as it is really good. Not the best, but high quality and deserving of its place in the market. However the constant poor me attitude, begging posts for reviews, slating other businesses, it really does grate and wear thin on my loyalty to them. I believe every business should use social media to their best advantage however it’s not. It’s used as a tittle tattle platform, favouring those that are under the influence of the promise of free samples or private WhatsApp groups. Yet if you look across the years of the social media you will consistently witness that if there’s a comment that isn’t favoured by the owner or her fans, then that person is hounded and slated. Some yes may just be those jumping on a bandwagon but there will be genuine people asking a question or commenting on a product or service they’ve experienced that hasn’t been of an acceptable standard. After all nobody is perfect. Nobody can have perfect products or service 100% of the time. The good reviews on here are all consistent with the timing of a begging post on the social media. The negative reviews are all on their own accord. Sadly there’s a theme through them.
I may return to shopping with the business, however I imagine I won’t be welcome after this review will be slated on the social media platform. The products yes are good, but not of a variety that can’t be bought elsewhere. Maybe a few designs of their own but that doesn’t make it stand out sadly because of the social media.
The gdpr itself is consistently broken with customers information, details etc made public. Even use of messenger isn’t suited for gdpr, however that’s the business choice to take that risk.
I will concur that the products are recommended but the standards, manners and ethics of the business I don’t agree with. Their aim rightly so is to be the biggest and best in their field, but act like that then. Do you see many high street retailers or highly reputable businesses behaving as such on their social media? No for a reason
