We have a total of 5 warehouses dotted around the UK (mostly in the south of England) with large stock reserves to meet our customer’s needs. A whelping box, also known as a birthing box, whelping pen and nesting box is used in order to protect the puppies after the whelping process is completed and during the early stages of life when they are most vulnerable. The whelping box keeps them safely contained away from the cold, most whelping boxes also contain rails or poles around the lower edges of which we get asked all the time what these are for and the short answer is they stop the mother crushing the puppies up against the sides of the box which could cause the puppies to become suffocated as well as being crushed.
At petnap we sell 2 types of nesting boxes, Disposable Cardboard and Reusable Plastic whelping boxes. Both of these boxes will cope with the duration of the whelping process normally around 6 to 8 weeks before they then move on to a more suitable environment like a play pen as they become ever more adventurous. We stock 5 sizes in both types giving you plenty of choice as also have heavy duty plastic versions in our large 2 sizes.

Found this company very approachable and friendly - happy to answer any questions and help you the best they can - the items i bought were for donating to a cat rescue centre - so i needed good quality and suitable - i got all that from this company - i even treated my own cats to a heated bed - they use it daily and love it - will be using this company again - thank you for all you helped me with xt

Brilliant product and service as always. I have purchased several heat pads and whelping boxes over the years. The whelping boxes are one piece so no leakages and no draughts. Easy to clean. I wouldn’t use any other.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. If you encounter a problem they become rude and defensive and will not help to solve it. After dealing with them I can quite understand why this company has so many 1 star reviews. I purchased a whelping box from them. It was badly damaged with dents leaving sharp edges on the walls of the whelping box and bumps in the floor. Petnap have refused to do anything about it and have become rude and aggressive in their emails to me. Laughably they are now accusing me of running a competing business and that is why I left the review. I have provided a copy of my invoice from Petnap to Trustpilot in order to verify that I am a genuine customer. I own a dog grooming business and my business can be found easily on Facebook. I do not retail whelping equipment etc and it is clear to see I am not a competitor of Petnap but a genuine customer who has had a really bad experience. Their response demonstrates their defensive/aggressive attitude and their inability to accept they have not provided an adequate level of customer service.

I don’t normally leave reviews for…
I don’t normally leave reviews for companies but I have to say this company are amazing, the quality of their products shows they care about both their customers and the animals that use them. They even thought to offer a courier service during Royal Mail strikes which meant I only had to wait one day to receive the heating pad I ordered. I honestly don’t believe any negative reviews written on here about this company and believe they were either paid by competitors or just left by people who very difficult to please. This company’s quality and customer service has been outstanding.
