I called yesterday about my pension and came away really impressed with how easy it was....
The advisor I spoke to was knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly without rushing me or drowning me in jargon. They answered all my questions confidently and made a topic I usually find confusing feel straightforward. It's rare to get customer service this good these days- a genuinely positive experience from start to finish. Highly recommend if you need pension advice and want to actually feel looked after.

I was surprised to receive this survey as I'm still waiting for a response from the company to my request to cash in my policy. I filled in the requured forms and posted them on 3rd July, 2026. Since then I have had telephone calls at inconvenient times and when I have returned the calls, a machine voice tells me that the company will call back another day. I do not want to discuss my financial affairs with anyone over the telephone. I want things put down in writing, which I stated when I applied to cash in the policy. My wait goes on.

The company offers good returns on investments, but is let down very badly with poor customer service.

I spoke to a very nice lady, (sorry, I have forgotten her name), she was smart, knowledgeable, very easy to understand and just a pleasure to talk to... couldn't be better; its people like this that makes a company shine.

Answered promptly, knowledgeable staff, always helpful and polite. As I am taking my pension in 2027 I hope this continues.

It took a while to find the right person to speak to but once I did he was fast, friendly and solved the problem.

I was promised claim forms by email in less than 10 days. This timeframe has passed and I haven’t received any communications from Phoenix Life except for this survey.

My investment produced excellent returns and generally the annual statement arrived punctually. There was a hiccup when Scottish Mutual was absorbed into Phoenix Life but this was easily corrected. Our only real gripe occurred when surrendering the policy. They were slow to pay up due to a failure to read/react to emails.

I did not know what to expect . All my questions were answered quickly and with professionalism I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to friends.

Giving one star as zero stars is not an option. Have been trying to get a pension options form since May, lots of promises received with no action whatsoever. Dreadful customer service.
