Plant Studio is a proudly independent plant shop based in Bedminster, Bristol, offering a curated selection of rare and unusual houseplants, easy-care indoor plants, outdoor plants for UK gardens, handmade terrariums and our own custom peat-free soil blends. Opened in 2023 on North Street, we’re rooted in the local community and passionate about helping people grow, whether you’re a first-time plant parent or a lifelong plant collector. Our mission is to make plant care simple and joyful with healthy, high-quality plants, clear advice, and friendly, expert support. From pet-safe plants and low light houseplants to pollinator-friendly outdoor varieties, everything we stock is chosen for its beauty, resilience and sustainability. We also offer repotting services, a Potting Bar in-store, and nationwide shipping across the UK using recycled packaging wherever possible. They are the nicest people. I’ve bought a couple of plants from them and they have given great advice and even delivered some of the large plants to my house.

Plant died
I bought a ficus plant from their shop I didn’t notice the star of the plant in the store but by the time I got home the plant lost all its leaves but one. The stem was very wrinkled and the soil was extremely dry. The plant didn’t survive even a week I’m very disappointed.

We do tend to keep ficus plants in our store on the drier side, as they are prone to overwatering, especially in colder weather.

Excellent terrarium workshop
I attended a terrarium-making workshop with the Plant Studio and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was a complete beginner, and the people leading the workshop were friendly, helpful and practical. Enough materials were provided as part of the course cost to allow me to walk away with my own terrarium and there are extra items on site that you can buy at a discount. There's plenty of scope to be creative in this activity and I thoroughly recommend it!

Great service, very knowledgeable!

Absolutely adore this shop! It’s not local to me but ordered from the site. Came very quickly and well packaged. They have an amazing variety of plants (indoor and outdoor) there’s something for everyone 😊

So much to choose from great prices they have more than just plants too they have crystals and other little bits I got an asparagus fern and a hoya carnosa tricolour they arrived super quickly and really well packaged they were a good size and are in excellent condition thank you guysss
