Beware of moving the goal posts
I was going to use funds for my business expansion. After getting an amount I was good with, the representative continued to move the goal posts for documentation. This was AFTER a signed contract was submitted. When I expressed my concern the representative got into some weird shaming debacle. I told the rep to cancel the contract, I did not want to do business with them. He confirmed via text but never sent any other documentation via email or otherwise confirming it was cancelled. I called the company direct and asked them to send me cancellation comfirmation and again, nothing. Highly suspicious of this type of business practices.

Hi Paul,
Thank you again for your patience and for taking the time to share your concerns regarding your experience throughout the funding process. After reviewing everything in full, we want to clearly summarize what took place and provide the closure you deserve.
After you selected the approval amount you were comfortable with and executed the contracts, we were at the final stage prior to funding. At that point, underwriting remained firm on reviewing your most recent business tax return due to your initial approval being for a six-figure amount. As a standard policy, any approval at or above $100,000 requires financials to officially fund. Since you were not taking the full approval, we did attempt to waive this stipulation; however, underwriting ultimately remained firm on requiring a 2023 or 2024 business tax return for final review.
Once the requested tax return was not provided and you advised that you no longer wished to proceed, the process was stopped and your file was formally closed per your request.
Our Director of Operations and Minority Owner both made attempts to connect with you to personally relay our sincere apology. We regret the frustration this process caused and truly appreciate the opportunity to clarify everything in writing. Should your situation ever change in the future, we would be here strictly as a resource if needed. Until then, we wish you continued success and all the best moving forward.
