Play netball is so fun. I’ve loved joining this league. Umpires are mostly fair & is a really enjoyable evening.

I've been playing in both the Tuesday and Sunday Colchester Netball Leagues for almost 10 years now, and I honestly can't believe how quickly that time has flown!

Over the years I've met some incredible women, built lasting friendships, and watched so many players grow in confidence and skill. Seeing people improve season after season is genuinely one of my favourite things about the league.

The atmosphere is always welcoming, supportive and encouraging, whether you're completely new to netball or have been playing for years. The umpires are fantastic too. They're knowledgeable, approachable, and always happy to offer advice and guidance to help players develop. A special shout out to Anne, whose wonderfully dry wit never fails to make me laugh!

The league has created a brilliant community of supportive, talented women, and I feel incredibly grateful to have been part of it for the past decade.

I play in the Monday night Crawley league, I'm not great - but thankfully the league caters for all and do you know what - it's fun! I'd recommend to anyone to give it a shot!

Back to netball caters for everyone all levels welcome , lovely friendly atmosphere, don’t worry if you haven’t played for a while or just starting out , as you get better you can work your way up , it’s so much fun , I have now got so many new friends through netball, our team has get togethers which are so much fun, tournaments too 🥳great exercise and social highly recommend it , I got back in to netball when I was 30 , but then dropped out due to family commitments , then found back to netball in my late 30 s, it was perfect , I’m now 54 still going , and play 3 times a week , keeps me sane, if you loved at school come back and give it go you won’t regret it 😊

I’ve had a great time with play netball, went in on my own and matched with an amazing team put together by play netball. The umpires were so lovely when we started out, and were always willing to help us out and give us tips/help/reminders of the game as we were getting into it. Almost done whole year with the team and just loving it.

It's lot of fun and good for most abilities. A lot of the time our games start/finish a bit late/early and the intervals are longer than supposed to be which cuts down the game time when each quarter is only 8 minutes already. They cancel quite late notice because of the weather sometimes or sometimes don't cancel at all even when the courts are already really wet which risks injury and we don't get a good game despite still paying in full and not being able to play full out.

I like playing the Thursday league at st Bart’s with neturally gifted it’s lots of fun and the umpires are always happy to give advise and explain the rules to you. I didn’t rate 5 starts as the game times aren’t always split equally

My team and I have loved playing in this league on Monday nights at Bracknell.
The league has consistently given clear and timely communication with payments, season fixtures, and social challenges to win prizes!
It is such a friendly atmosphere, with all the umpires doing amazing to make sure we stay as safe as we can.
Would highly recommend and encourage enjoying this league for some fun and exercise with your friends.

I play in the Thursday Newbury league and it’s great, so much fun. I love meeting everyone and getting fit at the same time. League is run well and the empires are great.

I have been playing in the Monday night Bracknell league for 7 years and Thursday Bracknell league for 3 years.
The league is well organised, good communication between teams and Play Netball.
I love my teams and playing with them means so much to me. I get to be ‘Me’ once I step on court and I just love the competition. Lots of fun, laughs and I’ve made some great friends within the netball community.

Hi, I am a intermediate at school. Every winter sports there are options for golf, rugby, football and my favourite netball. I always chose netball because I enjoy playing netball so much but my team never wins because we don't get to practice because my school is a country school. every team we play against they all play Saturday netball. so yah. But I still like doing it because I get to go to a different school for the day and make new friends and just basically have fun. and if your wondering why I am at this website I need help with the positions like where I stand and where I can go. this website has help me so much so thanks. (p.s my netball game is on the 5 of June Friday 2026. :) BYE!!! I hope I win this year.!!!!!!!!! :)

Played netball with Maidstone Thursday league for a season. My team was newly formed, fabulous women and none of us have played for a long while. We all joined because we were under the impression this was a fun, social place to have fun and meet other women whilst developing new skills and playing good netball. We were put into a league of well established teams that had played together for years and were immediately out of our depth. The umpires are a mother daughter duo of the rudest, most unfriendly women we have ever had the misfortune of meeting. They spoke to us like children, mocked us, picked on members of our team, had the foulest attitudes and were just seriously unpleasant to be around. We have found wonderful friends together as a team, but this is advertised as a friendly, social sport. It absolutely is not. We have signed onto a different organisation now as we have been so disheartened and disappointed by Play Netball in Maidstone.

We are not the first team to leave, as we have heard from other teams members how much they dislike the umpires and find them so rude and unfriendly. They treat this like they are the queens of England Netball, when we are just playing in a park in Ditton. Embarrassing. Very happy to leave!

Was trying to get back into netball and was assigned a team to play with in Brighton. Such a horrible atmosphere! I expressed that I hadn’t played for years yet was thrown into a match as they didn’t have enough players. Half the team didn’t even introduce themselves to me. As I obviously wasn’t great as I hadn’t played for so long, I then felt alienated by the time, with one member glaring at me every time I lost the ball. It’s meant to be a bit of fun, yet this had real mean girl energy. I will not be returning and my interest in playing a sport I once loved has dwindled.

Brilliant league and women! Love being part of this.

I absolutely love this league and my team. It’s the one night each week where I can switch off, step onto the court, and just enjoy playing. The umpires are fantastic. Fun, always encouraging, supportive, and very knowledgeable. Thank you for creating such a great experience, ladies!

Brighton Play netball has been brilliant. Fair, professional and friendly with some great support
