We had a very nice engineer come out to service our boiler. The man was excellent very helpful, polite and patient. He explained everything to me what he had done , can’t fault him or the company. Would recommend them to anyone.

Located an issue during a boiler service, and explained in easy terms what the problem was. Was able to have the part ordered the next day, and then fitted the day after, which solved the problem. Plumber was polite and friendly.

Plumb London is not a company to use if you have an urgent issue. I called with an active leak in my bathroom on Monday. On Tuesday they sent an engineer who did no work, but gave me only a quote - I had paid for the visit. Wednesday still no quote. I called asking for one, they said they'd get to me by the end of the day. Minutes after 5, still no contact, I called to hear an answer machine message saying they are closed and their business hours are until 5:30. The next day, Thursday, I was finally contacted by an agent with the next available engineer being on Monday! I called to speak to him after receiving an email, not at his desk, didn't return my message. Friday I call, the next available day is now on Wednesday next week. For an active leak.

Plumb London refunded what I paid for the engineer visit (£120), but wasted a full working week.

Disappointing.

I highly recommend PLUMB LONDON for anyone needing a boiler service. Booking the appointment was simple and stress-free. The engineer, CHRIS, was polite, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what they were checking. He did a thorough job making sure our system was running safely and efficiently, and even gave us some helpful maintenance tips. Great customer care and very reasonable rates—we’ll definitely be returning customers!

My experience with PlumbLondon was the worst I have ever had with any trade, and I want others to know exactly what they may be signing up for.

They installed a shower for me that leaked on first use. From the outset it was clear they had no idea how to install it properly, and no idea how to verify their own work before signing it off.

When the leak appeared, instead of taking responsibility, they invented one theory after another to explain it away. This continued even after an independent report from the shower's manufacturer confirmed it was an installation fault. Their response to their own incompetence? They immediately tried to charge me for "investigating" the problem they had created.

Here is what makes it truly absurd: the manufacturer's installation manual sets out, step by step, exactly how the unit should be installed and how the installation should be verified. If PlumbLondon had spent a tiny fraction of the time they spent litigating on simply reading that manual, the whole issue would have been resolved immediately. Instead, they wasted countless hours arguing endless points, anything and everything except the one document that actually contained the answer.

Getting them to actually complete and rectify the work was next to impossible. In the end it took me 10 months, a claim through my credit card provider, and various appeals, before the work was finally put (almost) right. I say almost because even now, I am still pursuing damages, because the paint job they left behind was poor and the matter is not fully resolved.

A prediction, because after 10 months I know exactly how they operate: they will respond to this review with an absurdly long reply, full of ridiculous excuses, explaining why none of this was their fault. When you read it, remember that that reply IS the review. That's what you will have to work with when your shower leaks. Instead of a fix, you get an essay on why it isn't their problem and an audacious attempt to charge you more money and still leave you with the problem. Check other reviews, this is not an isolated incident.

My conclusion after all this: the only thing this company is good at is litigating. They will fight you far harder than they will ever work for you. If you value your money, your time, and your sanity, do not use PlumbLondon.

Awful experience. They lied, cheated and tried to extort additional money after ruining the heating system. They did not complete the contracted work, demanded outrageous additional sums to finish, and took me to court when I refused to pay. They lost. Avoid this bunch of chisellers.

Had to get a someone in to look at my boiler that was reading a high pressure. Vlatko arrived on time, was really friendly and sorted everything and gave me some friendly pointers.
Would definitely recommend PL. Hopefully I dont need them again anytime soon but would use them again if I do!
